Heavy explosions have rattled the Somali capital, Mogadishu, leaving dozens of Ethiopian Woyanne troops dead and many others injured.
The blasts hit north Mogadishu’s Towfikh district, which drew heavy gunfire from Ethiopian Woyanne troops and anti-government fighters, killing dozens of Ethiopians Woyannes, and injuring many others, Press TV correspondent in Somalia reported on Monday.
Eye witnesses say some 13 Ethiopian Woyanne soldiers are still lying dead on the streets, while 14 other soldiers have been reported as missing.
Meanwhile in Suuq Baced area in northern Mogadishu, three other Ethiopian Woyanne soldiers were killed by Bazooka rockets as the fighting continued.
Al-Shabaab spokesman Abdi Rahim Isse Addow told our correspondent that the Union of Islamic Courts (UIC) is responsible for the attacks.
The streets of Mogadishu are the scene of daily clashes between opposition forces and Somali government forces, backed by Ethiopian Woyanne troops.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Woyanne dictator Meles Zenawi said on Thursday that Ethiopian Woyanne troops were to leave Somalia and withdraw their support for the country’s interim government.

The military balance of power is shifting and shifting rapidly towards the peace loving Somali, Ethiopian and Eritrean people, Woyanne and their masters have dug their grave by their arrogance and by underestimating the power of people who are determined to be free, I can guarantee the people of Somalia will be free and united, Eritrea is free but will be even more free because we will have peace in our borders, the only work that need to be done is in Ethiopia, I don’t write this to sound harsh on Ethiopians but a lot of damage has been done by three consecutive repressive regimes in Ethiopia that unless the armed and unarmed opposition groups start a dialogue and accept the fact that there will no more be one dominant nationality the Ethiopian people will suffer even more after the fall of Woyanne, this is the time to face reality, Ethiopians in the diaspora should shed their prejudices and start working together to create a united Ethiopia that will be a beacon of peace and prosperity in our region.
The Woyannes told the entire world that they were invited by the “Somali Government” and shamelessly told us that it is going to be a three week “picnic”. What can I say, they got it! They wanted to do the job the America and the Europeans don’t want touch. In few weeks, the Woyane slaves will flee Somalia with their Woyane-tail between their legs. The brave Somalis have handed the Woyanes a humiliating defeat. The Woyannes have no choice but to flee in shame.
The death of Ethiopian Soldiers in Somalia is not reported in the international media because their country does not value its dead and wounded soldiers. Meles counts only the active duty soldiers.
The government that sent the soldiers to fight in Somalia knows that these are poor peasants from destitude families who have no voice.
The money paid to Meles by the white man to wage the war in Somalia goes to private accounts belonging to TPLF’s corrupt bosses.
As long as Ethiopians refuse to confront the tyrant the plight of these young men will never end.
