The entire family of ESFNA, players, coaches, board members and Executive Committee members etc., would like to say “Thank You” to Dr. Sheikh Mohammed Hussien Alamudi for his generous gift of $300,000 to our organization. It should be noted that this is not the first time Sheikh Alamudi has given a large amount of money to help and encourage ESFNA. In the year 2002, he donated $450,000 that helped our organization reach new heights. Again, thank you and we wish you good health and long life.

They have to return the money back to the man,if they do not want the program to be politicized!Many Ethiopians believe that woyyane is spending millions dollars to some foreigners inorder to get their respective countries support. so i think this is another attempt to buy collective support through differnt means.

I dont know who are this time to be impressed by this player billioner.Some people are even requesting ESFNA to play its part for the current starvation crise that happening in thier country. It isnot however wrong to recieve the donated money, I believe.

  6. 1. Boycott ESFNA….personally I leave around Washington dc and I am not going to the program that is organized by weyane sympathizer hodam groups. I also have been telling the majority of the community to boycat the program as most of my families, friends, and people I know have already decided to boycott the program. I also will announce to the public to boycott the program using different major pal talk rooms so that many people would get aware of the role of the HODAM members of ESFNA. It is very obvious that the so called ESFNA has been fallen in the control of the weyane millionaire hand. If you have notice ESFNA, they have never give the chance to share the major Ethiopian problems such as lack of democracy, poverty, unemployement, famine that came due to lack of good governance. Instead they have always entraining the Ethiopian community only with games, sports, music, food and some other fancy programs that are deliberately designed to divert the Ethiopian people community from knowing and finding the truth about our country. If they mentioned they specifically want the Ethiopians to involve only on the investment part and they say leave the political issue for them to cover the crimes of weyane. ESFNA tries to engage our people with too much fun things as if our country has fulfilled all the needs like many developed countries. But the truth is our people needs our attention and voice ASAP….we need to organize our self and find the best resolution to our people. How come ESFNA didn’t try to organize our community on such thing while many westerners are trying to find a solution for Ethiopia. It is very shame that we Ethiopians are capable of removing our no. 1 enemy weynae which led us to various problems while we expect a lot from foreigners to resolve our problems.In general ESFNA is not good at all. I know it might be a good thing for those who are willing to communicate and see their people and culture once in a year. However, in my opinion the organization has never doing enough effort to resolve the current Ethiopian crises compare with the major problems we have back in Ethiopia. I know that the organization tries to do a few efforts to demonstrate such social problems including health mainly HIV/AIDS. But, that is not still very close to the expectation as an Ethiopian organization in North America. Of course it’s mainly focus events are foot ball, cultural events including food , drink, music and some entertaining shows that are only restricted by the Ethiopian people in North America. However, the organization keeping seem fail to understand the major problems in the current Ethiopia including human rights disrespect, lack of democracy, lack of justice, spread of corruption that brings high inflation and other out put problems of the above which lead the county to high poverty, uncontrolled malnutrition, high unemployment rate, uncontrolled population and others.
    We should not wait somebody to resolve these problems on behalf of us. As the north America Ethiopian organization, the organization should do a lot in organizing the Ethiopians to be able a part of the solutions. Just having a fancy time with a well living brothers and sisters of Ethiopian for a week long by gathering from different states doesn’t have to be the least we do. And we shouldn’t have to give our ears for those outsiders by sticking our leaps when we heard about Ethiopians disaster and calamities. Lets be the part of the solution and lets try to make the Ethiopian people live in Ethiopia to have a good time once in year as we do here with fancy event. Our people are dying with the unaffordable life to get a loft of bread while we spend thousands of dollars to enjoy our selves for a few days. In general to me the organizers of the ESFNA are a just a bunch of gangsters who are only working to fill up their bally and to strengthen their own individual economic budget in the name of the Ethiopian people. But, I can’t imagine how they dare fail to think about our people back home at least for a minute while they are running up and down to make their money. So, I don’t get surprised if they are engaged with corruption since they are gathered to fulfill their own interest. Shame on ESFNA organizers.

  9. How come ESFNA is not mentioning the $250,000 Al Amudi gave to pay for the Atlanta Dome?
    Overall, Al Amudi has given a cool million dollars to the organization. And what did Esfna do with it? This grand sum was used to pay Stadium bills. With a million dollar donation, ESFNA should or could have done something beneficial to the players and the Community.
    Unless the Sheik requested that his money be used exclusively for Stadium rental, (i don’t even try to understand why?) I fault ESFNA on this waste.
    They don’t need the money to just pay for stadium.
    It only made them appear totally dependent on the good will of one person to hold their annual gatherings.

    I am very sorry, I cancelled all my plan in the coming ESFNA program, except to come to protest against their action and to tell Al Amudi that he can not buy Ethiopia and Ethiopian with Ethiopian money. We all know whose money he is using.

    Every Ethiopian Should condemn ESFNA current leadership and take appropriat action. It is a blame to Ethiopian colaboration with wayanne and Al Amudi.

What he did is something conspicious rather than others sitting in US and talking bullshits about woyanne. If he did not exist in Ethiopia, do you think woyanne would not live so long.
