The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has denied Wzr. Nigist Gebrehiwot her request for political asylum. The ER Research Unit has learned that the USCIS rejected Wzr. Nigist’s application saying that the Woyanne regime in Ethiopia has given her a pardon and that when other members and leaders of the Coalition for Unity and Democracy Party (Kinijit) returned to Ethiopia from a working visit to the U.S. they did not face any problem. Wzr. Nigist has appealed the USCIS decision to the immigration court.

Nigist Gebrehiwot should be return to Ethiopia. Bertukan Mideksa came to US and returned to her country. What is the problem with you to return back to Ethiopia? Nigist Gebrehiwot lied to Ethiopian people. Now you want to lie to USCIS. You must be deported.
In the first place, why did Nigist Gebrehiwot ask a political asylum in the United States? Has she done something wrong against the Woyanne regime? What are the bases of her asking a political asylum? I want to hear more about Nigist’s full accounts.
As a person I feel sorry for her and I wish she would be granted so that she knows what it means to live in freedom. Also give her a chance at least to drive her Honda.

first of all I appriciated yigermal the funy way of your exsplanation.as I undestood she did not aply collective asylem. she applied asylem personaly for her self because of her private security reasons. she might be hurted because of psycological torture, living in prison.as a human being it is bery human to ask asylem to a better place where she feel safe.
I hope she will get a permit in the USA and get the better life she was craving for. But lying may prove her difficul as it did in Ethiopia. Beware if you lie in Ethiopia and did not work, it will repeat itself wherever you go.

Nothing will happen to her if she goes back to Ethiopia. Birtukan is back and nothing has happened to her. Right? By the way, when is that guy(Ex-Mayor of Addis going back? I don’t find her staying here in the U.S being a problem. It is not lying if she claims her life will be in danger, if and when she goes back, we all know that woyana will make sure this leaders wont have an ease at all.
