ADDIS ABABA, Feb 18, 2008 (AFP) — Over 300 police officers suspected of links with rebels have been arrested in Ethiopia’s restive Ogaden region as part of a government crackdown, state-media reported on Monday.
Regional police commissioner [Woyanne mercinery] Yussuf Mohammed was quoted as saying: “309 police officers suspected of having links with the anti-peace elements of the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) have been apprehended.”
Yussuf did not give a time span but said “rebel hideouts” and communication avenues had been “wiped out” by government forces. [He said the same thing some 3 months ago].
“We are in a position to completely destroy the ONLF in a very short period of time,” he said.

I have bad news for Meles Seitanawi that all his trusted armies within a short time are marching to Addis Ababa to arrest him. What is he going to do? Arrest them all! How? No one is going to take order from him except Abune Paulos and Al Amoudi. Al Amoudi may fled the country easily, but Abune Paulos has no place to go except to one of those Ethiopian monasteries where he would not be welcomed because he has been too worldly, overlooking the ecclesiastical affairs and playing with one of the celebrities.
I am an arrested Somali Regional Supreme Court judge some of the policemen that used by the ignorant security office head have been arrested in this event. So, it goes without saying that this mass arrest is a sign of acute distruction of the current regime
