The London Chapter of Ethiopian People’s Patriotic Front (EPPF) has been formed on Sunday, December 7, 2008, according to the Chapter’s press release. (Read more here)
EPPF is currently reorganizing itself around the world under the leadership of its International Committee. According to Ato Leul Qeskis, the Committee’s chairman, chapters will soon be formed and functional in several cities in Europe, the U.S., and Canada.
With the help of the International Committee, EPPF has recently acquired a new 4WD emergency vehicle that it uses to transport those who are injured in the field to hospitals. The payment for the vehicle is not fully paid yet, and the London Chapter and those that are being formed are expected to help raise the necessary funds for such purpose.
The EPPF-IC is also working on a plan to raise funds online from the Diaspora Ethiopians to provide humanitarian assistance to the families of fellow Ethiopians who are joining the resistance.

This is a good news for those of us who would like to support EPPF. At this critical time, we all must act to do our share to help EPPF. So the list that one can do is atleast to give some money for our Hero (Arbegnoch). We must follow London example to get organised. This is the only way to make any difference. Let us all act and play our part by acting. So if we realy serious about current Ethiopian issue and love our freedom we must do our share by been practical ruther than being critics at all time. We shouldn’t excpect others to bring change by secrfising their life

My Ethiopian brothers and sisters, use this opportunity to support your brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers who are facing daily challenges to bring about a peaceful and free Ethiopia, this is the time to get organized and help those gallant fighters in the field in any way possible.
Of course the Woyanne political machine will be out in full force to dissuade you from organizing and helping the Arbegnoch in the field, they will demonize the people who are organizing, I also guarantee you they will use the US political and security machine to suppress any real and tangible support to the EPPF, I tell you this because we Eritreans have been getting harassed by US political and security apparatus for years, don’t let that discourage you from supporting your Arbegnoch. This kind of organizing and support doesn’t sit well with the powers that be and I guarantee you Woyanne have friends in high places but they can’t stop a determined people from fighting for their freedom.
Though war is not comendable. given the nature and danger of weayne. armed struggle is invitable. But my worry is will it be effective? To lead an effective and sustainable armed struggle one need to have a reliable srong military base. Sudan, kenya and somalia are not a reliable bases. The only option, atleast for now, is Eriteria. using Eriteria as a base will not be wise as far as long term Ethiopian interest is concerned. The current government in Asmara can’t be considered as a friend without huge compromise of Ethiopian interest. We have to learn from weyane-shabia relation. We have to be far sighted.
Otherwise the armed struugle will pressure weyane to open the poletical space for peaceful struggle wider. This will result in establishment of free democratic institutions.
I think this is a holy idea to rid our beloved country from the evil that’s destroying our being, history and identity. God be with EPPF and we should all get involved and support them any way we can. We are heroic nation and our courage has been proven over and over agian and is written in our history.
