The current members of this organization may not even be aware of the history of this hideous organization, as they were not even born when the organization was first formed.
It all began as opposition group of the late Abuna Tewoflos as “Atekalye Gubaye” for three primary reasons.
1) Abuna Tewoflos began in earnest the ground work for making the church to be economically self sufficient especially from the grips of dictatorial regimes. This Gubaye opposed this plan from the start and in 1975 they used the Arat Kilo Property as falls evidence to bring a drummed charges of corruption against the patriarch which was used by the Derg for the massacre of the Holy Father. Ironically today almost 40 years later these properties are providing the intended benefit to the church proving the Abuna Tewoflos insightful vision
2) In order to forever curb the influence of menafekan and “Atekalye Gubaye”, the patriarch in acted the formation of “Sebeka Gubaye” allowing every member of the parish to participate in the daily activity of the church till this very day.
3) Unlike today’s state of the church “Teneshewa Mekele”, The Holy father was a staunch Ethiopian who vehemently opposed to ethnic preferences in order to serve the body of Christ which ran to the contrary of “Atekalye Gubaye” main goal.
After its successful role in the assassination of the Holy Father, in 1981 the organization had a nerve to submit application to the Holy Synod to freely organize within the Church without any kind of accountibility. The Late Abuna TekleHaimanot sealed its fate by denying its request and later on its ultimate refugee in Zewaye area where it adopted the current infamous name “Mahebere Kidusan”. This coincided with the invasion of Woyane in 1991 who perfectly knew the history of the organization to successfully used it as a readymade tool to infiltrate the Church for its own agenda. From that time forward “Mahebere Kidusan” was allowed to organize for the first time free from the church’s authority in every parish throughout Ethiopia except Tigray region.
In 2001 the division within Woyane’s rank gave a new golden opportunity to “Mahebere Kidusan” when the surviving woyane entity (Melese’s flank) who moved to seek alliance with the other nationalities as its lost a significant Tigray base. In this endeavor Aba Geberemedhene was quickly summoned to give a legal authority to “Mahebere Kidusan” to legalize its activity for the purpose recruiting Woyane’s support as well as purge anyone who remain against woyane in the church throughout Ethiopia. This 36 pages proclamation which was signed by 15 archbishops of Aba GebreMedhin on Ethiopian Calander Nehase 12/11/1994 (EC August 2002) with Synod doc # 187/275/94 gave “Mahebere Kidusan” unprecedented authority to destroy the Ethiopian Orthodox Church from within. Since that time a high level delegate led by Daniel Kebret have been given limitless financial and diplomatic latitude with double mission to infiltrate the Diaspora Church’s primarily to reject the legitimate patriarch of Abuna Merkorios. If this initial plan fails to campaign for the Diaspora church’s to proclaim neutrality which of course is unheard of in the Orthodox Christian Faith for the last 2000 years. This clever tactic if successful provides the dilemma of an “Orthodox Church without Archbishops” a misnomer as it will create “Wefe Zerash” generation that forever excommunicate itself from its mother church. Anyone who calls for ‘neutrality’ knowingly or otherwise is practicing from the playbook of “Mahebere Kidusan” ultimately Aba Gebgremedhin and Woyanne. One can simply refers the truism of the 700 million strong orthodox family worldwide which phrases, ‘if one cannot recite his/her baptismal and archbishop’s name one cannot call him/herself an Orthodox Christian”. (But this should be left for a later date for broader discussion.)
Seeing and calling for what it is, there is a contract on Ethiopia and the Orthodox Tewahedo Church as this priceless institution which defines the country we know staggers to behold. As Abuna Gorgorios once defined it, ‘the church that gave Ethiopia its faith, its language with fidel, its existence with freedom ……. ‘ therefore, to all of us the church and the country is the two faces of the same coin. For anyone to argue with the Editor of ER to restrain from exposing the sinister contract to destroy the church (and their by dismembering the nation of Ethiopia) is simply asking all of us to standby within the bound of artificial boundary and surrender everything that define us.
My heart goes out to those young members of “Mahebere Kidusan” who unknowingly are complicit with the most evil alien ever to occupy our nation. Christ the Lord has given all of us the passage of repentance to join the everlasting mercy of his kingdom, and we shall pray for that day to come upon them. Today however, I am more concerned with millions of faithful of the church and the people of Ethiopia to make sure the agent of nation-killers are not left without measure.

I’m not saying much about. Because I know what is the message behind. It is from those who are against the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
As my grandfathers and before them have done, My father travelled on foot all over the religion places and lived there a Soul life punishing his flesh while getting a religion study and life.. He reached to Dima, Debre Elias, Geroum Elias, Debre Tabor, Gonder, Tembia, Axum, Lalibela and other places. It took him 24 years. I also did the same thing but just in the surrounding where I was born because of the situation was dramatically changed in my time. Modern school was in the corner and the way of life through this direction became popular and unstoppable. .
The last 25/30 years the change in the world are too hudge. Back then only orthodox religion was the source of education and intelligence in Ethiopia. Right now we know what is going on in the country and abroad.
I have read all the changes/improvements they made and posted right here. For that I have to thank them. If any one thinks, we have to steak with an idea, which is 2000 years old, this person needs to have another brain and different century. Our changes are gradually adopting with the situations that are damaging if change are not occurred. Look others’ change in their religion?

Bravo Elias you have entirely exposed the basic reality of the Mahebere Kudusan anti Ethiopian orthodox destruction along with their legislative proposal that was written and approved by Tagay Paulos of the weyane appointed person.
What is the difference between Addis legesse, tefera walwa, aba dula, Junedien, Lidetu , Maherbere kidusan members and other weayene servants that carries out weyane’s crime everyday. To me they all are the same that carries out weyane’s daily crime against human beings in Ethiopia. So the Ethiopian people have to fight back all these weyane hodam servants everywhere by any means possible to stop their daily destructive agenda.
Mahbere kidusan is well known in Ethiopia with their name Mahebere Irkusan, since the Ethiopian people have clearly seen their destructive actions in orothodox churches, as side from their destruction duties in side orothodox churches, the so called Mahbere Irkusan have taken the order of Tagay Paulos to stop the public from praying for those hundreds Ethiopians civilians who died aftermath 2005 election that were shot and dead in the street of Addis by the weyane agazi forces. These so called Mahebere Irkusan members have announced in every church to stop praying for those individuals who died with merciless weyane agazi forces. So, the Ethiopian people in Ethiopia exactly know the undercover dirty duties of Maheber Irkusan and have always try to isolate them by any means possible in the society.
The other part of Mahbere Irkusan is appointed to Diaspora with the command in chief of Tagay Paulos all over the world to accomplish their dirty destructive duties inside orothodox churches. They restlessly working to divert the attention of the orothodox followers using many falsified and machine fabricated reasons that are provided by the weyane major cadres in Diaspora. They own so much medias including radio shows, websites, paltalk rooms and so many other means to distribute their destruction agendas.
Actually, the so called Mahberhe Irkusan are very knowing in opening a new churches in the name of orothodox religion in so many cities in Diaspora, particullrly they focus on cities that there is no orothodox church to ultimately accomplish their destructive agenda. as i know , mahiberre kidusan is working a great duty for ethiopian orthodox church. the asssociation has got the name Mahiberer kidusan because of it tells about the duty of “Tsadkan and kidusan.” so the name doesn’t belong to them and they have never said that they are kidusan; there fore, please don’t be a bad guy just think before you write some thing about somebody.

It is very important that there is some kind of well dedicated and informed watch group which put out correct history and information on the division of ETOC. Any time articles like the one on “Mahber Kidusan is out. It becomes THE INFORMATION until disputed by another knowledgeable and trust worthy authority/writer/individual or group.
The politics behind the religion is very disgusting, and the first original sin was when Derg assassinated Abune Teflos. The next confusing circumstance is when you have an exiled patriarch who has not had authority directly on followers in Ethiopia. Another is, t Aba Paulos’ close relation with this regime and his possible ethnic politics behind it.
The more people have real information the better. To speak for my self, by the time I read all 13 pages and the other documents, it will be a while. It might even be a one sided document.

Mahebere kidusan is well organized group which is being totally controlled by tegerians and some selfish hodams who are coperating with tagadalayi paulos to exploite and later destroy an anncient ethiopia’s orthodox tewahedo church for the simple reason they got plots of land to build ground plus house and other benefits from the church. Here we do not deny the role of mahaber kidussa to defend the church from froeign menafekanse by teaching the coming generation the true God’s word, but on the other hand, mehaber kidussan is the true ally of weyane [TPLF] to destroy ethiopia. Mehaber kidussa is the center of the middle class people who have the minimium of first degree from different universities, but they are serving not the God but an enemy of God ,an enemy of EOTC, an enemy of EOTC ‘s followers who have bruned somany churches and killed the church’s followers. I don’t know much about “Mahibere Kidusan.”Hence no comment on this religious organization.What I know,for certain,is that the Woyannes’s rigime has a sinister plan how to infiltrate the every church in general.
I came to learn this ten years ago when I saw the party’s program given to every member.It clearly states that the Woyanne party must use religion as a means of politics.
The other point is that at the office of Aba Diablos there are a number of the state security agents assigned by the regime.It was one of those agents who shot down the nationalist monk at the pedeastal of Estifanos church in Addis Abeba.
Therefore, it’s common knowledge that not only the Orthodox church but all denominations of churches are infested with Woyannes’spies.I for one, don’t trust even the monks,priests and Bishops.Do you know the role played by Russian Orthodox priests in passing vital information to the KGB? The significance of this document is for all those churches who are being ransacked by these thugs, it will arm everyone by providing a legal defense to the legal formation of their church.
Most churches in North America and elsewhere are formed as a 501-C congregational instead of Hierarchical church (i.e. Directly from the Synod itself). Therefore, when Mahebere Kidusan attempts to overpower these churches, the congregation has full legal right to go to court to expel them as agent of the Hierarchal authority of the Ethiopian Synod.
For those of you who are being tormented by MK, I urge you to seek legal counsel using this document and further litigate it to teach them a lesson.
FYI: In Ethiopia Mahebere Kidusan are also known as MAA KEE, meaning the soot from the charcoal ashes.

Let me introduce my self: I am member of Mahber Kidusan for the last 11 yeas, starting from my first year university study till now. If the God give me strength I will also be the member of this Services Association. In the last 11 years in addition to learning the dogma and kinona of my church, I learnt how my church is precious, how our mother church play vital role in for existence of Ethiopia and etc….
My beloved Ethiopians,Mahber kidusan currently work effectively in the following areas:
1. Preaching the youths especially who joined training center, collage and Universities. We have more than 70,000 students in 170 gubeat who attend their church education parallel to their regular university. The students learn the religion by curriculum.
2. Helping Gedamat and Abent Timhrt bet: Currently more than 67% of Our monasteries and Abent Timhirt Bet have faced different problems. For these places the Mahber Kidusan work day and night. Today thanks God we have many monstries who are making many activities for their expenses
3. Answering any questions in relation with our church: Currently many people write ‘fiction’ about our church in false evidence or without evidence. Mahber kidusan always try his best to answer the question by asking fathers, and by searching other evidences. Hello dear Fellow Ethiopians, before we judge peoples, let us see things from left and right. Before we criticize MK, let us know what it really is. It is a blind shame to say “MK takes the Asrat Bekurat of EOTC members” As far as I know, MK only takes 1% from only its members and it has nothing to do with the well known 10% Asrat bekurat unless we closed our ears to hear the truth.
Ok, if the case is raised for some political gain, that is another issue, but if it is raised from the Religion caring point of view, let us be based on truth and realities., otherwise we will remail failing from achieving our goals. Ok, peoples may have their own objections and supports ut it will be nice if all are based on realities.
I have never heard an MK member calling him/herself “being Kidusan”. There is a bold reason why the association was named MK and it has nothing to do with members status.
There are so many lies in the article but it will be waste of time if I raise and discuss it here as even the writer knows the reality. He/she only raised it here to get innocent peoples confussed.
I remember we had enough discussions at Warka and DSK-Mariam web sites some years ago about “Who is MK” but at the end there was no any clear understanding as people were argueing blindly knowing the facts but hiding them to be told.
As a christian, I would try to find the realities and look for spiritual ways to solve the problems before I got to labling people, but now a days our politics is infiltrating in our church and sport and is hard to differentiate them and lets wait and see as TIME always tell/show the truth unlike people.

So called Mahebere Kidusan are no less than terrorists. They have been pain in every church i went. Well Do you see the harvest of peace in both LA Mariam churches after they get ride of them? Atlanta Mariam did the same thing. Daniel Kebret attempted many things but failed. Churches in Dallas beware. a few agents of Mhebre Kidusan hve been spotted in Houston Medhanealem. My advise get ride of them before it is too late. They are the Talibans.
Let me give you fair analysis.
Mahbere Kidusan is a an Orthodox Reformist Group who successfully helped our church to abort an Ill spirited reformation backed by frustrated protestants. It was a well done job. One thing is true; there will be civilian victims in any kind of legitimate war. Mahbere Kidusan may need to confess this some time in the future.
The problem with MK is not as in its history and background but it is in its inconsistency to its original reason of service. This problem is expressed in many ways such as
1. Its failure to work with Sunday school members effectively.
2. Its tendency to discourage and paralyze other church groups and Sunday schools who could outshine them positively.
3. Its lack of focus on promoting the core beliefs of the church as it did in the past. Its service is over stretched to the extent that it reaches to nowhere.
4. Its lack of original passion to serve, concept of selflessness and believe in God’s role. Unfortunately bureaucratic thinking took over spiritual wisdom.
5. It is inability to create more Dn. Dejene Shiferaw, Dn. Daniel Kibret ..etc.
6. Its fatal error is yet to come since its started to act independently, ignore their deliberately and become actors of administrational fights.
My fair Judgment is this:- Mahbere Kidusan will freeze if not cease to serve the church not by the points listed on the “What is Mahbebre Kidusan?” articles but by its new style of spiritual service .

The reason is simply, Mahebere Kidusan is not a religious organization but a political and financial organization similar to all Woyane companies designed to fulfill Meles’s ultimate agenda.
As I have commented in the past, this is a political organization wrapped with the bible cloth, very much like the old colonialist who came to subjugate Africa. It is an organization which has now promoted itself above the church , and is cleverly used by Woyane to control the youth. The entire nation knows that the legitimate Senbet Group cannot even have the money to buy Shama for daily service let alone have the audacity to build skyscrapers in Addis Ababa or open satellite branch office worldwide to spread Aba Gebrmedhin’s kingdom.

Hello Ethiopian diaspora!HAPPY NEW YEAR! I am orthodox christian. I once was a member of Mahibere kidusan. I am not now. I know a lot of stuff about them. They have their website to read about them. I am ashamed of you who oppose the group. I don’t mean they are perfect but compare to me , the sinner, they are. You will appreciate their devotion to God and the church. They rose timely by God to combat not politicians but enemies of the church, and of course to maintain the Puuuuuuuuurrrrrreeeeeesssttt teachings of the church. They also protect college-university students from heresies of protestants and others. they support different monastries from being closed. They, in general, work to transfer the traditions of the chruch to the next many generations to come in the face of fierce globalization. We owe them appreciation. I am not surprised, however, that MK is opposed for God, Lord, Jesus Christ, Holy Savior, Himself was opposed. That was bound to happen. I wish i would rejoin them soon. Second I would like to ask you one QUESTION what was the responsibility of those bishops (Abatoch) when they came to this service? as to me to be the shepherd of the people. I did not see or heard of a shepherd, who flee living the herd for wolf to save his flesh, is that what Jesus teach? A shepherd should die to save his herd. The other thing is why they flee living us for the wolf, as I know they are all those who aid died for this world, so did they afraid that being snatched of killed in soul. So please don’t try to miss lead us, we don’t have a shepherd who left us for a wolf to save his flesh.
