Ethiopian National Transitional Council asks for diplomatic recognition from the U.S. government

The newly formed Ethiopian National Transitional Council (ENTC) has submitted a formal letter to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton requesting a de jure diplomatic recognition from the U.S. Government.

The letter was submitted to Secretary Clinton by the ENTC’s diplomatic representative in the U.S., Ato Solomon Ephrem.

In the letter, the ENTC states its mission, explains the worsening political, economic and security crisis in Ethiopia, and urges the U.S. Government to help with a peaceful transition to democracy.

The U.S. Government is the first country that the Transitional Council has asked for a diplomatic recognition since it was founded at a 3-day conference in Dallas, Texas, that was convened from July 1 – 3, 2012 with the participation of representatives from over 30 cities and countries.

The Transitional Council plans to submit similar requests to several countries through its diplomatic representatives in the coming few weeks.

    All opposition party’s formally invited to attend the Ethiopian National Transtion Council
    Founding Conference & given a chance to unit together
    & form two chambers such as like US congress
    & senat, the party’s & civic ass in senat & Etntc
    In the congress chambers but only Shengo attendd
    All the didn’t respond at all for the letter, so no need waiting
    of waiting, late you the ETNTC move on and still the door is open to
    all the county setuation not waiting as .

    I was talking about Opposition party leaders of other countries not Ethiopia. The issue here is ” Foreign Policy ” of the ENTC.

    Benyam, I think Saba meant by opposition party of the U.S Government(Republican and other)and International organizations(non Ethiopian), and NGOs. It is a a million dollar reminder in case it is overlooked.

ENTC, You are Letting them(Hillary) hijack our freedom once again, They should recognize you not the other way around.Do we learn from our past, who is responsible for the last 20 years letting Weyane stay in power. ENTC is throwing their ball to US hands. Poor move. ENTC should mobilize Ethiopians inside and out like what happened in Egypt. Begging to be recognized is like begging for power. ENTC members should be proven on fire in front of their people before going to Westerns for recognition. Lets unite and be master of our destiny.

  10. ENTC is only one of the 1000’s of elements moving at the same to get rid the racist ethnic clique. I say bravo to ENTC. It should in fact lead and organize the entire diplomatic, international relation, global public relation struggle. The Ethiopian Diaspora is powerful. We send 3 billion US$ per year to our beloved nation. We can do the same to support the fighters inside, we can do miracles. Look at ESAT. The Professional Disapora must rise to do everything to fuel This Revolution. Woyane are few, we are many, many, many. This is a fact.

  13. The only option the opposition forces is to seize the moment and unite for transition.The weyne regim is legally dead and their days in power are numbered.so we urge all opposition forces to come together and play the leadership role before thinges get out of control.

Shalom all kind of Ethiopians, first of all I bring my blessing from Jerusalem for this golden idea specially for the founder of this form Dr.Fesseha Eshetu and then the next state must be here in Israel and the Jewish world must start the diplomatic relation after USA if happen this phonomena Ethiopians and Ethiopia will be like land of Israel & Hewish people and also will be back to our roots.
