In March 2012, I posted the report below about the trafficking of Ethiopian women to the Middle East and identified one of the major players behind it. The report was a result of thorough investigations, corroborated by multiple witnesses who are residing in Addis Ababa. Several months after the report was published, the TPLF regime banned the trafficking of Ethiopian women to UAE, but not to Saudi Arabia and other countries. Meanwhile, Jemal Ahmed, Al Amoudi’s business partner who is identified in my report, has filed a defamation lawsuit against me in the United States District Court, Northern District of Georgia. The notorious law firm, DLA Piper, is representing Jemal in the lawsuit. DLA Piper has hired a $250-per hour private investigator, a former FBI agent, to follow me all over the Untied States. In a court document, the private investigator, Harold Corpus, testified that he has observed me at the balcony of my parents’ residence, among other places. Since the apartment has a security gate, he must have committed trespassing to enter inside. Human trafficking is just the tip of the iceberg of the predatory business practices that Jemal Ahmed and his partner, Mohammed Al Amoudi, are involved in with the backing of the TPLF regime in Ethiopia. In just recent months, they have forcibly removed tens of thousands of people in western Ethiopia after confiscating their land which they are using to grow flower and vegetable to be exported to Saudi Arabia and UAE. If Al Amoudi, Jemal and their allies in the TPLF junta think that they can intimidate and silence me by hiring former FBI agents and a mercenary law firm, they chose a wrong target. I will continue to expose them until they stop plundering my country and robbing my people. I am confident that the U.S. justice system will not allow them to trample upon the freedom of exiled Ethiopian journalists.

Al Amoudi’s human trafficker in Ethiopia identified

It’s been suspected that Sheik Saudi agent Mohammed Al Amoudi is behind the planned “export” of 45,000 Ethiopian women per month from the Amhara and Oromo regions of Ethiopia to Saudi Arabia. The women, most of whom are teenage girls, will be working in slave-like conditions, often subjected to beatings and other kinds of abuses. Ethiopian Review Intelligence Unit has now confirmed Al Amoudi’s involvement in this massive human trafficking, and also we have been able to identified the person whom he has put in charge of the operation.
His name is Jemal Ahmed. He is an Ethiopian, resides in Addis Ababa, and frequently travels to Saudi Arabia and other Arab counties as an employee of Al Amoudi.
Jemal’s responsibilities extend beyond human trafficking. He is also in charge of Horizon Plantations, one of Al Amoudi’s companies that is engaged in destructive commercial farms that are used for growing and exporting cash crops. In 2009, the Woyanne gave Al Amoudi 250,000 hectares of land in southern and western Ethiopia, in many cases forcibly removing local farmers from their lands. Because of excessive use of chemical fertilizers, the land will be totally useless in just a few years. The ground water will also be unusable
Jemal and other partners of Al Amoudi who are pillaging and plundering Ethiopia, and selling our women as slaves to Arab countries, must be stopped. Share this information and take the necessary action.

I am an Eritrean. However, I am very concerned what the hell is going in Ethiopia under the minority regime of Woyans ? As a non Amara, I can tell you, the reason anti Ethiopian groups go after Amara is because history has shown us they are strong defenders of all Ethiopians. (I know, you are going to say they have oppressed, only to very little extent but not as worse as today). Unfortuantely, the OLF who claims they represent Oromos which does not even include all Oromos support OLF, rather than solving their own problems with Amara, I am afraid the OLf have been easily brainwashed by outsiders, TPLF and Shaebia. So, some of the Oromos of today are not the old of Oromos who defended their region and Ethiopia. It is important despite your differences, for the sake of your region, collaboration is important, collaboration that have always protected your region. In this case, Oromos would have been better off collaborating with Amaras rather than TPLF. I also remember seeking this man in a night club in Wahington D.C. recruiting agent for his plan some 20 years ago before DERG was overthrown from power. For example, let us take the current story you wanted to make a headline out of. No one for sure knows what the unemployment rate in Ethiopia is right now. If I have to make an educated guess, the figure is probably more than fifty percent. The population of the country is exploding beyond anyone’s expectation and will continue to grow at an alarming rate. Rural migration of unskilled laborers to the urban center is staggering. And all of us are aware that our poor nation is in no position to find meaningful job for the ever increasing number of its citizens. You may say that all these problems will disappear once we get rid of the Meles regime and establish a government that is representative of the people. That’s dandy and good, but it will not be a solution to the problem at hand. Although I may agree that it might be a good start, it will take perhaps decades before we see any meaningful results. In the meantime, people have to live, eat, find shelter, etc. Therefore, your call to stop the migration of Ethiopians to the Middle-East is at best irresponsible. To be frank with you, it is not my wish to see these young ladies travel to a foreign land and serve their masters, but there are very few opportunities for them inside the country right now if one wants to realistic. The only sensible and logical course of action on this issue is to fight for the safeguard of their rights while they are working in these countries. Domestic workers in the Middle East have little rights if they have any at all. Trying to stop the influx of these young Ethiopians to foreign countries is not practical, to say the least. Even though prospective domestic workers hear some of the atrocities inflicted upon those who have already been there, thousands of Ethiopians are paying enormous amount of money to be in their shoes. We should strongly condemn the horrible atrocities that are frequently inflicted upon our sisters while at the same we should popularize their cause and fight hard to force the governments of these countries to establish laws that guarantee their rights. There is gross negligence and willful disrespect on the part of the Meles government when it comes to this issue. The Meles government should strongly regulate the agencies that are responsible for the business of sending thousands of these Ethiopians and make sure that they are properly informed of what is waiting for them once they abroad.

I hope you may understand me on what I said in my last article comment. You know for my country and its people my wish always prosperity in terms of wealth and freedom in terms of human right. For me I always choose the last one as primary choice before wealth and anything. From the current Ethiopian history what I can understand that starting from 1940’s and 1950’s one of our country best enemy is not the western, or is not the east country, or is not the rich person from Saudi (he is nothing and he is single guy you can say him go , seat dawn or you can do anything what you want on him.), or is not high number of uneducated person living in the country but for our country the most and dangers enemy is a group which always work against the well and sovereignty of our people and country. I am an Ethiopian who used to live in Atlanta and moved to my Country 20 years a go.
I never knew Elias, but I knew his father, brother and sister. He knows my family in Atlanta and Ethiopia.
I am a self made business man who is very proud of what i am contributing to my country. It is true that I am a business associate of Sheik Mohammed Al AMoudi, Whom I have a very great respect.
Unlike ELias and his hate advocates, sheik Mohammed has been bringing billions of Dollars to Ethiopia and making a very visible change.
He hires over 60000 Ethiopians in Ethiopia. He helps cure 10000 Ethiopians, whom otherwise would have been dead, by spending 100s of millions of dollar.Insulting such a godly person may sound easy to some people, who do not have a fear of god at all. There is no problem hating the current political structure of our country as should be no problem on supporting as well. But why do you hate and make defamation on people who were only successful on their work in Ethiopia. For you guys you can only be good Ethiopians if you promote hate, but if you support the political structure and contribute to the Economic growth of the country, you are public enemy number one.
It is a shame that we do not have good opposition, who only oppose what is needed to be opposed.for Elias to be good Ethiopian, you have to oppose every thing what is being done hear.
