He Wrote more than 18 books. He has also more than 44 translated books from Geez.
The present patiaric Aba Gebre Medihin was a begger with his mother in front of the sillsea cathedral at 4 kilo, abune Melke tsedek took the kid ( Aba G Medihin ) from his mam and teach him to be a deacon in the church together with other poor kids. As we know Tigres are YEBELUBETIN WECHIT SEBARI NACHEW. So this evil man (Aba Gebre Medihi) turn on him and Aba Melke tsedek end up immigrated to USA. It is written on one of his 18 books.
The source of the problem is ourselves. Don’t help Tigres. The only solution of our problems is , we have to stand together and fight the Tigres. But, if we keep crying “Tigres are our brothers” we will not get what we want for the next 50 years.
Stand up against Tigreans and Eritreans!

Amare #1,
His Holiness, Abune MelkeTsedik, can be served well if a mountebank such as Amare who has a deep-rooted pons assinorum in expressing himself in the English language can be set aside and sent to school to learn the English language and to love the true Ethiopians, the people of Tigray, the source of ancient civilization.
Mr. Amare talked about the kindness of His Holiness, Abune MelkeTsedik, who helped and educated the neglected child, Aba Gebre Medhin, and the number of books he has published so far, but it is not fair to say His Holiness has done only two things: publishing books and helping one destitute child.
There are numerous untold success stories His Holiness, Abune MelkeTsedik, has accomplished as a young student in the Ethiopian traditional Church education and in the area of modern education. He was the youngest person to be appointed director of St. Paul School in Addis Ababa, and as he demonstrated his especial talent in leading and training young students, he was given the title of “Like Siltanat,” the highest title offered only to a highly educated person. In his leadership, St. Paul School flourished and became like the garden of Aden because His Holiness, Abune MelkeTsedik, liked planting trees, growing flowers everywhere in the school compound. He allotted to each one of his students a piece of land to grow plants such as eucalyptus trees and sell them to other plant growers and thereby his students could support themselves with the money they got from selling the young eucalyptus trees.
She was so impressed what His Holiness, Abune MelkeTsedik, had accomplished at her school, the St. Paul School, Her Majesty, Empress Menen, frequented the school several times, and she was indeed proud of him and talked to him many times. Many visitors used to come to St. Paul School to enjoy the flowers and to see for themselves the great accomplishments of His Holiness, Abune MelkeTsedik, had achieved within a short time.
He taught his students in their classrooms, in their cafeteria, in their dormitories, in his office, and in the Church; he always urged his students to attend Morning Prayer every day at the St. Paul Church, separated only by a wall from the school. The Morning Prayer in this beautiful and small Church was a must; however, some indolent students used to hide under their beds when they heard the footsteps of His Holiness because they didn’t want to miss their morning sleep, but no one could hide from His Holiness, Abune MelkeTsedik, because he knew every hiding place and every corner at St. Paul’s School. He always carried a short rod or a staff with him to punish the recalcitrant students. His staff or rod had a special name, and its name was “ስብሐት ለአብ,” which means, literally, “blessing to the Father.” Indeed, it was a great blessing for the young students to be chastised and corrected by His Holiness, Abune MelkeTsedik, and his rod or staff had been a great blessing and a great comfort for many students in their precious lives. Didn’t the Psalmist say, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear not evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (23:4).
He trained his students to pray, to preach, to debate, to compose poetry, and to perform drama and theatre for the public, and as the result of rigorous training and strict discipline he had offered to his students, almost all of them went to college and graduated from college. He sent many of them oversea for higher education.
After he served with great distinction at St. Paul School, he was promoted to be the Dean of the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church built by His Majesty, Emperor Haile Selassie. I am sure, Her Majesty, Empress Menen, might have felt some kind of unhappiness about her husband for taking His Holiness, Abune MelkeTsedik, from her school and putting him to be the leader of the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church.
At the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church he did so many good things such as opening new school for the boys and for the girls. As far as I know, he was the first person who trained many Ethiopian girls to sing in the Church. He opened small factories on the east side of the Holy Cathedral Church where many women were hired, and theses highly trained women were able to produce very attractive and colorful carpets for the Church and as well as for the market. He also opened a bookstore at the entrance of the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church where books and other materials could be sold, and the profit would go to the Church. Many times, His Majesty would come to this Church, some times without notice, but he had never been disappointed by the great performance of His Holiness, Abune MelkeTsedik. The king was so happy about the hard work of His Holiness, Abune MelkeTsedik, he appointed him to another office very close to the king’s palace. I had a chance to visit this new office with the permission of His Holiness, Abune MelkeTsedik.
With so many activities and Church services going on almost on a daily and nightly basis at the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church, the tireless Abune MelkeTsedik was also a member of the faculties of the Holy Trinity College. He had a class to teach at this college every morning, and at the same time he had to conduct the wedding ceremonies and the funeral services whenever someone from the royal family maries or dies and buried in this magnificent Church of His Majesty, Emperor Haile Selassie.
While His Holiness, Abune MelkeTsedik, was at St. Paul School and at the Holy Trinity Cathedral Church, he invited students to his house; he took students for a picnic outside the city of Addis Ababa: he always enjoyed the companionships of his students; he used to call every student he met: “የኔ ልጅ” (my son). He also called whom he thought was not telling the truth “ወስላታ.” He had traveled to many places in Ethiopia to establish Church schools and to recruit students to his new schools. He had a radio program in Addis Ababa where he could reach many of his listeners as he preached the word of the Almighty God, Jesus Christ. He had already trained for this purpose some Gospel preachers whom he had employed and paid their salaries.
I have no enough time to describe him adequately and to tell in detail all his wonderful accomplishments that will remain shining in the hearts of many of his students. Of course, as a human being, he may have done something wrong unintentionally, but his contributions to his country, Ethiopia, outweigh the minor errors some people, mostly, his enemies, think he has done.
To let such a bright, intelligent, linguistic, and a great reformer, such as His Holiness, Abune MelkeTsedik, live in exile for so many years is unpardonable sin ever committed by a jealous, mendacious, greedy, uncaring, and mundane Church leader, Aba Paulos, friend of Meles Seitanawi (Zenawi) and Jezebel (Azeb Golla), Seitanai’s wife.
@Amare
you are either an a big dedeb living in the world of your own or most probably a sly Ebab weyane straight out of dedebit but pretending to be one of us but hell bent to torpedo the struggle against the weyane thugs……. As for Ertra, they could easily finish you off. Either way you are either dedeb or a dedebit imposter.
Amare,
Do yourself a favor. Either go to a basic school of social sciences or read a bit of history. In addition note that all Tigreans are not members of TPLF. There are also millions of Ethiopians born out of the wedlock of Tigreans and the rest of Ethiopians. It is upto you to find out which segement of the Tigrean society is supporting TPLF.
