Meles Zenawi’s pack animal (donkey) Kuma Demeksa has been named mayor of Addis Ababa by the fake city council on Tuesday. Kuma is a person without conscience. He would sell his own mother for the highest bidder. According to ER sources, these days Kuma is busy working on multi-million-dollar real estate deals. He is building several condos. He will not have time to run the city. Even if he has the time, he is too dummy to run any thing except carry load for Meles.

The legitimately elected mayor, Dr Berhanu Nega, has the legal and moral authority — and obligation — to issue a directive outlawing Kuma’s fake mayorship. As a matter of fact, it is appropriate for Dr Berhanu to warn any one from engaging in any type of long terms deals, such as construction projects, with Kuma’s illegal city administration. This will freez a lot of activities by opportunist businessmen who will be scared that they will lose their investment after Woyanne is gone — which will not be too far.

  10. One question: Is Addis Ababa personal property of Berhanu Nega? According to the writer of this article, there shouldn’t be such thing as Addis Ababa unless Berhanu Nega rules it, and therefore, there shouldn’t be any business and development operation under the rulers in effect.

    His real name is Taye Teklehaimanot. Kuma is also a fake name given to him by Meles Zenawi. He was “asir aleqa” police when he was captured in Eritrea (POW). As you said he is a business man. He was in Columbus, Ohio, last year. Some people thought that he came to visit his daughter, but the truth is that he was in Ohio mainly to open a bank account.

    Leave alone journalists, activists need to respect the sensibilities of others. Trash writing and offensive language such as this one helps neither the person nor the cause.

  18. A donkey has been a symbol to describe an opportunist opposition in parliament and government. The picture is the right one. It should not be seen as an attack leveled against an individual or his ethnic background either; a mayor is a very important person.

    My problem with Elias is his attempt to bring back the ex-elected mayor of Addis Birhanu Nega into this discussion. Today Birhanu is just like you and me an individual who opposes the government. Birhanu’s mayorship was dead 3 years ago. It is in the past never to come back unless he is elected again. An MP can do nothing let alone an ex-MP who has never been in parliament or in the mayor’s office. Birhanu or any individual MP doesnt have the power to remove anyone from any government office today or in the future just because he was an elect. Most of all the mayor’s office is not Birhanu’s private property; he can not claim this office forever. So, it is too childish to demand Birhanu react individually to whatever the government does with this office. Above all he can not or should not react individually to the appointment of Kuma Demeksa and make the whole issue an individual’s case. The question in Ethiopia today is about the whole election and election process.

    The project of building condos in collaboration with the chinese by chasing away farmers is a lucrative business for the weyanes. They are not concerned for the urban dwellers as they want us to believe.

    It is totally a misplaced priority, when the government hospitals in the country are death traps. When the public schools do not have the required teaching materials, when prices of commodities are skyrocketing and people cannot afford 3 square meal, who can afford to rent their condos?

    The construction business is full of corruption nobody can audit them so they are busy enmassing wealth at the expense of the poor urban dwellers.

  26. As to my personal understanding this statment is is unethical as per the journalism profession. More over the content seems like reclaiming in May 2008, the lost war in 2005. That is a false deream, and a dead dream because can not be attained without cost. So inorder to claim it needs rethinking, replanning and restrugling to come up with new achievement. Past is past, can not come back.

  32. Taye w/semiyat/or medire, even give pseudo-names, such KUMA DEMEKISSA/ MELESE ZERKAWIT, all are imaterial. What is person believes in/does, capable of and his life biography is important. From what this person have done to Oromo people and the rest of Ethiopians, he is a piece of garbage. I may equate him to waste of sewer than donkey. At the right time who shall govern the city of addis? the country is in a very deep political crises whom we choose to be a mayor from the current government? the answer is may be none so why we attacking individuals? instead of the system? please stop gossip and do the right thing.

    የአዲስ አበባ ከተማ ቋሚ አስተዳደር ከንቲባ በመሆን ለቀጣይ ሁለት ዓመታት በሥልጣን ላይ እንዲቆዩ በምክር ቤቱ አብላጫ ወንበር የያዘው ኢሕአዴግ የተመረጡት አቶ ኩማ ደመቅሳ ከሹመት በኋላ ባደረጉት ንግግር የአዲስ አበባ ከተማ ሕዝብ ኢህአዴግ ከተማዋን እንዲያስተዳድር ለሰጠው ዕድል አመስግነዋል፡፡

    የከተማዋን ማኅበራዊና ኢኮኖሚያዊ ችግሮች ከሕዝቡ ጋር በመመካከር ለመፍታት ፓርቲያቸው መዘጋጀቱን የገለፁት ከንቲባ ኩማ ሕዝቡም ተሳትፎውን በማሳደግ እገዛ እንዲያደርግ ጠይቀዋል፡፡

    አዲሱ አስተዳደር በዋነኛነት መልካም አስተዳደርን በማስፈን፣ ሥራ አጥነትን በመዋጋት፣ የመጠለያ ችግርን የውሃ አቅርቦት ችግርን በማሻሻል፣ የዋጋ ንረትን በመዋጋት ጠንክሮ እንደሚሰራም ቃል ገብተዋል፡፡

    “ከተማዋንም ተባብረን የልማትና የመልካም አስተዳደር ማዕከል እናደርጋለን” ሲሉም ተደምጠዋል፡፡

    አቶ ኩማ ደመቅሳ ያላቸውን የካበተ የአመራር ብቃት፣ የማስተባበር ችሎታ የሚመሰክሩላቸው ወገኖች “ከተማዋን ይቀይራታል” በማለት ጽኑ ምኞታቸውን ይገልፃሉ፡፡

    ተሰናባቹ ከንቲባ አቶ ብርሃነ ደሬሳ ለጋዜጠኞች በሰጡት መግለጫ ለአዲሱ አመራር መልካም የሥራ ጊዜን በመመኘት የተጀመሩ የልማት ተግባራትን ከግብ ለማድረስ ጠንክሮ መሥራቱ ውጤታማ እንደሚያደርገው ምክራቸውን ለግሰዋል፡፡

    የአዲስ አበባ ጊዜያዊ ባለአደራ አስተዳደር ከምርጫ 97 ጋር በተያያዘ ከተፈጠሩ ችግሮች በኋላ ወደ ኃላፊነት የመጣ መሆኑን ያስታወሱት አቶ ብርሃነ በዋነኝነት በሕዝብ ዘንድ መረጋጋት ተፈጥሮ፣ ሰው ወደ ሥራው እንዲያተኩር መደረጉ ትልቅ ድል ነበር ይላሉ፡፡ እንዲሁም በመንገድ ግንባታ፣ በቤቶች ልማት (ለተወሰነ ጊዜ በሲሚንቶ እጥረት ከተፈጠረ መጓተት በቀር) የሚታይ፣ የሚዳሰስ ሥራ አከናውነናል ባይ ናቸው፡፡

    የአዲስ አበባ ከተማ አስተዳደር ምክር ቤት ካለው 138 መቀመጫ 137 ያህሉን ኢህአዴግ ሲያሸንፍ፣ አንድ ወንበር ቅንጅት ለአንድነትና ለዴሞክራሲ ፓርቲ ማሸነፉን የምርጫ ቦርድ ይፋዊ ውጤት ያስረዳል፡፡

    የቅንጅት ብቸኛ ተመራጭ በመሆን ምክር ቤቱን የተቀላቀሉትና የጥርስ ሐኪም የሆኑት ዶክተር ለምለም መኮንን በሕዝብ በመመረጣቸው ደስተኛ መሆናቸውን ለሪፖርተር ጋዜጣ ገልፀዋል፡፡ “እግዚአብሔር የሰጠኝን ጥበብና ማስተዋል በመጠቀም አዎንታዊ ተጽዕኖ አመጣለሁ” ብለዋል፡፡

    የአዲስ አበባ ከተማ አስተዳደር የሶስት ዓመታት ዕድሜ በአቶ ብርሃነ ደሬሳ የሚመራው ጊዜያዊ ባለአደራ አስተዳደር በመውሰዱ የቀረው ዕድሜ ሁለት ዓመት ብቻ ይሆናል፡፡ እስከ 2002 አገር አቀፍ ምርጫ ድረስ የሚቆየው የከንቲባ ኩማ አስተዳደር በዚህ አጭር ዕድሜው በከተማዋ የተንሰራፋውን ግዙፍ ማኅበራዊ ችግሮችን ይቀርፋል ብሎ ለመገመት አስቸጋሪ መሆኑን አንድ ስማቸውን መግለፅ ያልፈለጉ የቀድሞ አስተዳደር የሥራ ኃላፊ ለሪፖርተር ጋዜጣ ተናግረዋል፡፡ ኃላፊው እንደሚሉት “አዲሱን አመራር ሥራ ለመጀመር እስኪዘጋጅ በጥቂቱ ስድስት ወራት ይወስዳል፡፡ በቀሪው ጊዜያት ደግሞ የታሰበውን ፈጣን ልማት ለማምጣት የጊዜ እጥረት ሊያጋጥም ይችላል፡፡ ስለሆነም አስተዳደሩ የተጀመሩትን ሥራዎች አጠናክሮ በመቀጠል ላይ ቢያተኩር ያዋጣዋል” ይላሉ፡፡

    በዕለቱ የአስተዳደሩ አስፈፃሚና የማዘጋጃ ቤት አገልግሎት አካላትንና ክፍለ ከተማዎችንና ቀበሌዎችን ለማቋቋም የወጡትን ሁለት አዋጆች እንደገና ለማሻሻል የቀረቡትን ረቂቅ አዋጆች ላይ ተወያይቶበት በሙሉ ድምጽ አጽድቋቸዋል፡፡

    የከተማዋ አዲሱ አመራር እና ተሰናባቹ አመራር ትላንት ማምሻውን በብሔራዊ ቤተመንግስት የእራት ግብዣ እንደተደረገላቸው ታውቋል፡፡

    Asir Aleqa Taye Teklehaimanot(now Tagay Kumama Demeksa)is a relative of Meles Zenawi. His parents were originally from Tigray who were settled in Ilu Abbabor, Oromiya.This is the core issue of his appointment,not because he is a donkey, though donkey is wiser than Kuma,his boss Meles and all their PDO members.They are predatory vultures of Adwa, Tigray who kill and eat the humble birds of Oromo,Sidama and Somali, more than any other meek birds in the bullet- controlled of ethiopia.

    5.Became a member of EPDM amd later TPLF fake him as opdo
    6.Married to TIGRE soldier and later divorced in 1995.
    7.Replced as oromia president by junedi by meles order
    8.house arrest for more than two years
    9.apolize for Meles to divorce tigre and coperate with Tewolde group
    10.became nominal defense minster without any real role
    11.Moved his family to ohio

  49. Elais: Please do not insult the noble donkey by comparing him to these hyenas. A donkey may be a beast of burden, but he is never a beast and a burden. Kuma, Meles and the rest of the thieves are Beasts (666, look in your bible for the number of the beast) and a great burden on ethiopia. If you must insult an animal, please choose the hyena, and you know how much the hyena loves to eat the donkeys.
