As you said somebody has to tell Teddy to fire this hodam banda lawyer in name. I am sure Teddy knows this guy has some kind of mission and if this lawyer has his case still, the case is always in wrong direction and he must be replaced by the right one as soon as possible. When woynne play elementary game of this kind we can say it is the begging of the end of the tegray minority regime. This notorious lawyer in his failure and backing the regime for his hod is going to do noting for Teddy. The whole judical system in Ethiopia is collapsed because in it there are only hod aders and the real ones pushed back or are in exile. As to the heg alawaki(amharic), he should know that one day he is going to face real justice for what he did and what he is doing now.

በአገራችን በሥልጣን ላይ የተደላደለው የእብሪተኞች ቡድን አምበል ከዕለት ወደ ዕለት ባህርዩ ጨርሶ የለየለት እብደት እየሆነ እንደመጣ ሁላችንም እያየን ነው። እንደ መለስ ዜናዊ ዓይነት የኢትዮጵያዊነትነትን ስብዕና ጨርሶ ሳይገድል ላያንቀላፋ ምሎ ለተገዘተ ደመኛ፣ የኢትዮጵያዊነት ምልክቶች ሁሉ የኅሊናው ቁስል፣ የገላው ህመም፣ የአዕምሮው ንውዘት እና አለመታደል ሆኖ ደሞ የቂም በቀሉ ሁሉ መወጫ ናቸው። የአንድነት ስሜት፣ ያብሮነት ተስፋ፣ የእርቅ ስነልቦና እና የጋራ ብሔራዊነት አስተሳሰቦች፣ ምልክቶች፣ ተግባራትና ዕምነቶች ሁሉ ላለፉት 18 ዓመታት በቁጣውና በቂም በቀሉ በትሮች ያልርህራሄ ሲጨፈጨፉ እንደነበር ማንኛችንም አንስተውም። በዚህ ነፍሱን እንደ ክፉ ዛር በሚያንዘፈዝፋት የኢትዮጵያዊነት ስሜት ጥላቻ ከመጣበት መለስ በምድር ላይ ለማንም ምኅረት እንደሌለው ሁላችንም ዓይተናል። እንደ አሥራት ዓይነት ያገር መኩሪያ፣ እንደ ጸጋዬ ያለ ያገር ሃብት፣ እንደ ስዬ ያለ ያገር ጀግና፣ እንደ ገብሩ ያለ የሉዓላዊነት አርበኛ፣ እንደ ብርሃኑ ያለ ያገር ተስፋ፣ እና ሌሎችም ኅልቆ-መሣፍርት የሌላቸው ኢትዮጵያውያን ምን ያህል በዚህ መብረጃ የሌለው የመለስ ዜናዊ የቂም በቀል በትር የህይወት መስዋዕትነት እስከመክፈል ድረስ እንደተቀጠቀጡ ባይናችን ዓይተናል። በከፋ መልኩ ደሞ፣ ለበቀል ዱላው ሕጋዊ መልክ ለመስጠት ለያንዳንዳቸው በየጉዳያቸው እንዴት ዓይነት ‘ልክ የተሰፋ’ ልብስ እንደተዘጋጀላቸው የምንረሳው አይመስለኝም።
በዓለም ታሪክ ምናልባት ለመጀመሪያ ጊዜ ያገር መሪ ሆኖ ያንኑ የሚመራውን አገር የብሔራዊነት ምልክቶች ሁሉ አምርሮ በሚጠላ መሪ በቀል እንሰቃይ ዘንድ ለምን እንደተረገምን አላውቅም። መለስ ዜናዊ በኢትዮጵያዊነት ስሜት ላይ ባለው ወደር የሌለው ጥላቻ ምክኒያት መሪ ከሆነበት ዕለት አንስቶ ያለማቋረጥና በሙሉ ሃይሉ ይሄንን አስተሳሰብ ለመግደል፣ አብሮ የመኖርንና የጋራ ብሔራዊነት ስሜትን ለማጥፋት ያላደረገውን ነገር መቁጠር የሚቀል ይመስለኛል። ለዚህ ፅሁፍ አስፈላጊ ቢሆንም እንኳን እጅግ ብዙ ጊዜ ተደጋግሞ ስለተባለ “ባንዲራ ጨርቅ…” ፣ “ የአክሱም ሃውልት ለወላይታው…” ወዘተ እያልኩ ላሰለቻችሁ አልፈልግም። ቁምነገሩ ሁላችንም እንዴት አድርጐ ያገራዊነት እሴቶቻችንን ሁሉ በረቀቀ መንገድ ከምድረ-ገፅ ለማጥፋት ሌት ተቀን እንደሚተጋ በየምክኒያቱ ለማየት መረገማችን ነው።
ድሮ ትምህርት ቤት የከበደ ሚካኤል መፅሐፍ ላይ ያነበብኩት ያንድ ጨካኝ የ ሮማ ንጉሥ ታሪክ ትዝ ይለኛል – (ካሊጉላ ነው መሰለኝ)። የሮማን ሕዝብ ያለርህራሄ ሲጨፈጭፍ ኖሮ፣ አላልቅለት ቢሉ ጊዜ “ምነው ባንዴ ቆርጬ ለመጣል እንዲያመቸኝ የሮማውያን ሁሉ አንገት አንድ በሆነ!” ብሎ እንደተመኘ ተፅፏል። የሚጠላው ነገር ባንድ ፓኬጅ እንዲመጣለትና ባንዴ አጥፍቶ ለመገላገል ሲመኝ ነው ማለት ነው። አንዳንዴ ሳስበው መለስ ዜናዊም ትንሽ ለየት ባለ መንገድ ይህንኑ የሚመኝ ይመስለኛል – “ካመት ዓመት እዛም እዚህም ከመርገጥ ምነው ይሄ ‘ኢትዮጵያዊነት’ የሚሉት መርዝ ከነምልክቶቹም፣ ከነ ዕምነቱም፣ ከነፍልስፍናውም አንድ ነገር ሆኖ በመጣልኝና እሱን ድፍጥጥ ባደረግኩት!”
ይሄ ሳይበቃ፣ የሚያጠገው ያጣው ብሔራዊ ቁስላችን ደሞ እያንዳንዱ የዚህ ዓይነት የጋራ ኢትዮጵያዊነት ስሜት ተጋሪ በሠላሙ፣ በነፃነቱ፣ ስንቱም በሕይወቱም ጭምር በዚህ ዕምነቱ ምክኒያት የመለስን ቂም በቀል መራራ ገፈት እንደቀመሰ ለማየት ሁላችንም የምናውቃቸውን እነ አሥራትን፣ እነ ገብሩን፣ እነ ስዬን፣ እነ ብርሃኑን፣ እነ ኃይሉ አርአያን፣ እነ አብርሃ በላይን፣ እነ አብርሃ ያየህን እና ቁጥር ስፍር የሌላቸውን ሌሎች የጋራ ብሔራዊነት፣ የመቻቻል፣ የ ዕርቅ ና ያንድነት አርበኞች መዘርዘር ይቻላል። እነዚህ ሁሉ ሰዎች ላገር ያደረጉት ትግልና የከፈሉት መስዋዕትነት መጠን እንደ ትግል መስካቸው ዓይነት፣ እንደ ሙያቸው፣ እንደየነበሩበት የፍልሚያ ሜዳና እንደዘመኑ ቢለያይም ሁሉንም የሚያገናኛቸው አንድ ነገር ኢትዮጵያዊነታቸው ይመስለኛል።
መለስ ዜናዊ ሁሉንም አምርሮ የሚጠላቸውና ፈፅሞ ይቅርታ ሊያደርግላቸው የማይችለውም በዛው ምክኒያት ብቻ ነው። ትላንት እነ አሥራት፣ ከዛ እነ ገብሩ፣ ከዛ እነ ስዬና አረጋሽ፣ ከዛ እነ ብርሃኑና ሃይሉ አርአያ፣ ከዛ፣ ስማቸውንና ተግባራቸውን ዘርዝረን የማንጨርሰው ሌሎች ሺህ በሺህ ኢትዮጵያውያን። ብዙዎቹን ሕዝብ አያውቃቸውም፣ አንዳንዶቹ ደሞ ባንድ ወይ በሌላ ምክኒያት ዝነኞች ናቸው – ሕዝብም ያውቃቸዋል።
ዘንድሮ ደሞ ላንዴ እንደገና የመለስ ማለቂያና ምህረት የሌለው የቂም በትር አዲስ ተረኛ አገኘ!
መለስ ዜናዊ ‘ምነው የኢትዮጵያዊነት ብሔራዊ ስሜት፣ ያገር አንድነት፣ የህዝቦች መቻቻል፣ የዕርቅና ያብሮነት ዕምነት ባንድ አካል ተመስሎ ባገኘሁትና ላንዴም ለመጨረሻም ጊዜ ጭፍልቅ አድርጌው በተገላገልኩ’ ብሎ የቂም-በቀል ህልሙን ፍቺ ሲመኝ ቴዎድሮስ ካሣሁን የሚባል አንድ ትንሽ ልጅ ፊቱ ተፈጠረለት።
“ተዋዶ መትጋት ግን ቅጣት ያስተርያል…”፣ “እስቲ ተዋደዱ፣ በልዩነታችሁ…” ፣ “ሞፈሩን ያዙና፣ ይቅር ተባባሉ…”፣ “ጅማ ያብሮነት ከተማ…”፣ “ይጥባ ዘመኑ፣ ሁሉ ሰው ታርቆ…” ፣ “ዘመኑን ጀመርንው፣ ይኸው ታርቀን…”፣ “ይቺ ባንዲራ፣ ናት ዕድለኛ፣ ዛሬም አኮራት፣ ቀነኒ ኬኛ…”፣ “ተዋዶ ያለበት እስላም ክርስቲያኑ፣ ተዘነጋሽ እንዴ ኢትዮጵያ መሆኑ…?”
እያለ የሚያቀነቅን… እና በዚሁም ምክኒያት ኢትዮጵያዊ ሁሉ ባድናቆት የሚጦዝለት፣ ኢትዮጵያዊውን ሁሉም ባገር ፍቅር፣ በጋራ ብሔራዊነት፣ በዕርቅ፣ ባብሮነት እና በእኩል አንድነት ስሜት የሚያጦዝ አንድ ሰው ካለ… የመለስ ዜናዊ ፀረ-ኢትዮጵያዊነት፣ ፀረ-ብሔራዊ አንድነት፣ ፀረ-አብሮነት፣ ፀረ-ዕርቅ እና ፀረ-አገራዊነት ደመኛ ሠይፍ አንገቱ ላይ ይምዘገዘግለት ዘንድ የግድ ነው!
ይኸው ነው ቴዎድሮስ ካሣሁን ላይ የደረሰው።
ለኛ እንዳለመታደል፣ ለመለስ ዜናዊ ደሞ እንደ ዕድል ሆኖ የሮማው ካሊጉላ የሮማዊያን ሁሉ አንገት አንድ በሆነልኝና ባንዴ ቀንጥሼ በጣልኩት ብሎ የተመኘው ሳይሆንለት፣ ንጉሥ መለስ “ይኼ ‘ኢትዮጵያዊነት’ የሚሉት ቅዠት ምነው አንድ አካል ሆኖ በመጣልኝና ባንዴ ድፍጥጥ አድርጌው በተገላገልኩ” ብሎ ሲመኝ ቴዎድሮስን አገኘ!
ለመለስ ዜናዊ፣ ኢትዮጵያዊነት ላይ ያቄመውን ያርባ ዓመት በቀል ለመወጣት ከቴዎድሮስ የተሻለ የተሟላ ፓኬጅ ያለ አይመስለውም – ምናልባት ዕውነቱንም ነው። ምንም ልጅ ቢሆን የቴዎድሮስ ስብዕና ከዕድሜው በላይ ገኗል። ይህ ስብዕናውም በማያከራክር ዓይነት የተመሠረተው በዛው መለስ ዜናዊን እጅግ በሚያንገሸግሸው የ ‘ኢትዮጵያዊነት’ ብሔራዊ ስሜት ላይ ነው። ዕድሜው ምናልባት ከመለስ ዜናዊ ከ 30 ዓመት በላይ ቢያንስም በዚህ ዘመን ባንድ ወይ በሌላ መንገድ በኢትዮጵያና በኢትዮጵያዊነት ጉዳይ ላይ እያሳደረ ያለው ተፅዕኖ (in its own way) ከመለስ ጋር ሊስተካከል ሁሉ ይደርሳል (ይሄን ለመረዳት ሁላችንም ከምናውቀው ያገጠጠ ሃቅ በተጨማሪ አዲስ ፎርቹን የሚባል ኢትዮጵያ የሚታተም የእንግሊዝኛ ጋዜጣ በኢትዮጵያ ሚሊኒየም ማግሥት ሁለቱን – ቴዎድሮስንና መለስን – እያወዳደረ የፃፈውን ድንቅ ርዕሰ-አንቀፅ ማንበብ ሳይረዳ አይቀርም)።
ስለዚህ፣ ቴዎድሮስን ማሰር፣ ማንገላታት፣ ማማረር፣ ተስፋ ማስቆረጥ፣ ማሰቃየት፣ ማረኝ እንዲል ማስገደድ፣ ማስፈራራት፣ ማስራብ፣ ማቆሸሽ፣ በሽታ ላይ መጣል እና ስሜቱን መግደል ለመለስ ዜናዊ ባንድ ድንጋይ ሁለት ወፍ መምታት፣ ወይም እንደ ካሊጉላ ምኞት የ ‘ኢትዮጵያዊነት’ን ዕምነት አንድ ቦታ ላይ ተቆልሎ ማግኘትና ያለርህራሄ መቀጥቀጥ መቻል ነው።
ልጁ – በዘፈኖቹ፣ በቃለ-ምልልሶቹና በንግግሮቹ በሚያጐላው ብሔራዊ ስሜት ምክኒያት እንደ ግለ-ሰብ ለመበቀል ከመንገብገብ ባሻገር፤ በፖለቲካ ሳይሆን በኪነ-ጥበብና አርት ኢትዮጱያዊነትን፣ አብሮ መኖርን፣ መቻቻልን፣ ይቅርታን፣ የጋራ ብሔራዊ አንድነትንና እኩልነትን መለስ ባላሰበው መንገድ እያደነደነ ስለመጣ መቀንጠስ አለበት! ይህ ሲሆን፣ ልጁ እንደ ግለ-ሰብ ስለ ኢትዮጵያዊ ብሔራዊነት እየተፈላሰፈ ‘መባለጉ’ ሳያንስ ቀስ በቀስ ሕዝቡን ሁሉ ማሰለፍ እየጀመረ ስለመጣ እሱን በፈጠራ ክስ ማግለል ይህንን ‘አደጋ’ ያስወግዳል። ሁለተኛ ደሞ መለስ ጨርሶ ባልተዘጋጀበት በቴዎድሮስ ምክኒያት በተፈጠረው የአርት፣ የኪነጥበብና popular culture ፍልሚያ ሜዳ ይሄ ‘ኢትዮጱያዊነት’ አልሞት እያለ ስላስቸገረ፣ የ ‘ኢትዮጵያዊነት’ እና ያብሮነት ተዋጊዎች የፍልሚያውን ዘዴ በቴዲ ዓይነት ሠላማዊ የፍቅርና ያንድነት ዘመቻ ከቀየሩ ካዝማቾቹ አንዱንና ምናልባትም ዋነኛውን ተዋናይ ‘ሰው ገጭቶ ገሏል’ ብሎ ከማሰርና ከማስወገድ ሌላ የተሻለ መፍትሄ የለም! ሁላችንም ልንረዳው እንደሚገባን ቴዎድሮስ የታሰረው በዛ እና በዛ ምክኒያት ብቻ ነው። የመታሰሩ ዋና ምክኒያት አንድ ሰው ተገጨ፣ አንድ ሰው ሞተ፣ አንድ ሰው መንጃ ፈቃድ አልነበረውም፣ አንድ ሰው ምስክር ነው፣ አንድ ሰው ገጭቶ ጠፋ፣ አንድ ሰው አይቶታል። ተገጪው ድሃ ነው፣ ገጪው ሃብታም ነው … አይደለም!
በግልፅ እንደሚታየው የቴዎድሮስ ወንጀል ይሄ አይደለም። ወንጀሉ 40 ዓመት ሙሉ ይሄን አስተሳሰብ ለማውደም ሌት ተቀን ያለ እንቅልፍ የታከተው መለስ እንኳን ሊቋቋመው ያልቻለው የኢትዮጵያዊነት፣ የአንድነትና ያብሮነት አስተሳሰቡ ነው!
በመሆኑም የቴዲ መታሰር ያገር መታሰር ነው፣ የኢትዮጵያዊነት መታሰር ነው፣ ያንድነትና ያብሮ መኖር መታሰር ነው። የይቅር ባይነትና የደግነት መታሰር ነው፣ የሰብዓዊነት ህልምና የኢትዮጵያዊነት ተስፋ መታሰር ነው።
ስለዚህም ነው ቴዎድሮስ ካሣሁንን በምንም ምክኒያት ማሰር ቴዲን እንደግለሰብ ከማሰቃየት በላይ በሠላማዊ መንገድ፣ በ አርት፣ በሥነ-ጥበብና በኪነት ኢትዮጵያዊነትን ከሞት ለማዳን የሚደረገውን ትንቅንቅ ለማኮላሸት የታለመ እጅግ የተረገመ መሠሪ ሴራ የሚሆነው። አለመታደል ሆኖ ለመለስ ድሉ ባለ ሁለት አንጓ ነው። ቴዎድሮስ የሚባል አስጊ ብላቴና በመታሰር ወይ ተስፋ በመቁረጥ ከመንገዱ ይወገዳል፤ ሌሎች የሱ ቢጤዎች ደሞ እሱ የደረሰበትን (እና መለስ ሊያደርግ የሚችለውን) ዓይተው መንቀዥቀዣቸውን ያቆማሉ። በሁለቱም መንገድ ‘ኢትዮጵያዊነት’ የሚሉት ቅዠት ተጨማሪ ሁለት ርምጃ ወደማይቀረው ሞቱ ይራመዳል። መለስ ከነመርዝ ሰንኮፉ እንደገና ‘ሊያሸንፍ’ እኛም ከነቅንነታችን እንደገና ሌላ ሞት ልንሞት ነው! አይበቃም?

In an Empire where the “prisons speak Afaan Oromoo”, the “Free Prisoner” campaigns are only for Teddy Afro (Gadaa.com Editorial – May 8, 2008)
Teddy Afro was called the “New Reggae God of Ethiopia” by the National Public Radio (NPR). For those who have heard his songs, that description of him by NPR is fitting. Teddy is a gifted artist who created new melodies by combining Afro-Caribbean music styles with Horn of African sounds. For instance, he fused Hadiya’s traditional wedding song with reggae beats to come up with one of his hits – Seleme.
In the middle of his flourishing career, however, he was allegedly involved in a fatal hit-and-run automobile accident in November 2006. Teddy has been free on bail since that time, but Woyane has finally used the hit-and-run alleged crime to tighten the noose around Teddy’s neck. Now Teddy Afro is languishing in Woyane’s most notorious prisons – Qaallitti. He is an inmate in a prison where more than 85% of the inmates are Oromo prisoners of conscience. Being inmates of this same notorious prison is where the similarity between Teddy Afro and the other 85% Oromo prisoners of conscience ends.
Most of Teddy’s fans see his imprisonment as a political persecution and are campaigning worldwide to free him from Woyane’s firm grip. Some of his fans have even gotten the support of a U.S. Congressman. U.S. Congressman Dana Rohrabacher of California told Woyane’s Ambassador to the United States to “free Teddy Afro immediately” in a 4-word letter on April 29, 2008. Since Teddy’s imprisonment, there have been numerous articles and blogs urging readers to take Teddy as another Woyane victim, and rallies organized to solicit more diplomatic pressures on the TPLF-led regime to free Teddy. The same websites that “broke the news” that the Empire’s “prisons speak Afaan Oromoo” are churning out campaign articles to free Teddy.
There is no doubt that Teddy Afro is a victim of Woyane’s persecution. There is no doubt that Teddy should receive the due process of law for the crime he allegedly committed with the principle of “being innocent until proven guilty.” There is also no doubt that his fans, and fellow countrymen and countrywomen should be campaigning to free Teddy! With that said, it is sad to imagine how the 85% Oromo prisoners of conscience of Qaallitti feel about their destinies as the world rallies to free a single inmate, Teddy. It is very hard to convince those prisoners and their relatives that Ethiopia is a country that does not subject them to oppression because of their ethnic background; in fact, Woyane threw them into concentration camps for being Oromo, then the Diaspora Ethiopians ignored their situations for being Oromo for years until the born-again-freedom-fighter Aite Seye Abraha “broke the news” that Ethiopian “prisons speak Afaan Oromoo” in 2007.
Yet again, it is very sad to witness that in an Empire where the “prisons speak Afaan Oromoo”, there has been no “free Oromo prisoners of conscience” campaigns from all corners of the Diaspora and Ethiopia. It is neither fair nor ethical to single out Teddy Afro and campaign vigorously for his release, and leave out the other thousands of Woyane’s victims. It is time to build this momentum up in order to campaign for Teddy Afro’s and the thousands of Oromo and other prisoners’ of conscience unconditionally releases from all Woyane’s Auschwitz concentration camps NOW! It is time to go beyond petty differences and strive to work for common goals. Free Teddy Afro – Indeed! Free ALSO all other PRISONERS OF CONSCIENCE languishing in Woyane’s Auschwitz concentration camps!
Then Teddy Afro has a hidden enemy for a “lawyer”. It’s time to kick Ato Million Assefa to the curve. As Teddy’s lawyer Ato Million is, at least, expected to keep his peace, be silent, on issues that may positively affect his client. Bad-mouthing his client’s supporters and using woyane kind of politics is very much uncalled for. Thus, Ato Million is no reliable lawyer to bank on to fight for a just result for Teddy Afro.

First of all I wonder how that Weyane click Million Assefa became his Lawyer. I know him very well since 1988 while his was teaching in North Shoa (Mehal-meda) being a diploma graduate from Kotebe. Tedy has to chnach another lawer as soon as possible. To be hones, Million is one of the key cadres of TPLF.

i don’t speak amharic, so i hardly understand Teddy’s afro lyrics. why is he accused of a crime that was committed a year ago and is now thrown in to some weyane jail??? if there is indeed a functioning law in addisabeba and Teddy did committ such a crime, why wasn’t he arrested then???

I do not understand why Teddy hired the Woyane lawyer Million as an attoreny. Million is a well known Woyane who usually appeared in the Woyane TV to denounce the opposition camp, especially CUDP/KINIJIT, as a force that is acting contrary to Ethiopian constitution. He is a banda and a personal friend of, usually hangs out with, the infamous Berket Simon.

Million is a woyane broker! He was woyane’s lawyer and defender after the 2005 election. He was on ETV more than 10 times defending the killing of more than 200 innocent civilians by woyane.
