Ethiopian Review is resuming its tradition of naming “Person of the Year” at the end of every year. The man or woman chosen as person of the year is believed to have made significant contributions for the betterment of Ethiopia in the past 12 months. Readers’ opinion is heavily weighed in making the selection, so let’s hear from you. The following are the nominees:

  5. Daud Ibsa deserve to be the man of the year, He is the leader who is draining the TpLf military camp by his wise and touching messages to the Oromo and Ethiopian military in the government camp. That is how he could attract all those War generals and officials to the OLA.

    I have no word to explain the intelegence and the sprit of this man. Weather you belive or not the future of Ethiopia what every Ethiopian seeking is in the heart and mind of this person.

We are blessed for having such and more high caliber manpower who are and would make great contributions to change the situation in Ethiopia and extricate their compatriots from opresion, squalor and poverty. All deserve our support and congratulations for all the good and sincere efforts they deployed to promote democracy, good governance, rule of law and development in Ethiopia. If we have to nominate one man it should be Prof. Alemayehu. God bless and give long life to all the others. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  22. woooooooow! with out any doubt our hero Birhanu Nega is the man of not only the year but also the millinium. He is what an intelectual politician endowed with love is all about! he is the real head ach of the fascist meles regime and the old durye fudals like Hailu.

    So Birhe is the man of the year.

Our person of the year is Birae, Birhanu Nega; because it normally took a generation to get a person like Birahnu who helped us all “to see when our birhans not only kinijit or Birtikuan or himself, but our dream Ethiopia sitinega or our spirit Kinijit to flourish across the globe and of course our benign cancer cell like Hailu Shawel to be scanned out at its eraly stage so it won’t mastacize and takes the life of kinjit”

  27. dr editors Daud Ibsa is the best choice for all Ethiopian. the reason is he bring us together instead of divided us like meles. he makes us to respect each other. i will chose him for his vision of hope for all Ethiopians.

  45. DR.BERHANU NEGA stood in the face of so much political attack and personal vilification to protect one concept that has been the cause of our struggle, i.e Democracy.

    Although all candidates are priceless assets to Ethiopia, I would vote for the courage and leadership shown by Dr Berhanu Nega. He should be our person of the year. However, I will be happy with any one of them.
