The following is an email that inadvertently appeared on EEDN, an email discussion list. It was meant to go to Dr. Taye only. Diana K Mariam is a member of the Shaleqa-EPRP alliance known as KIC (aka keysi)

Dear Dr. Taye

We need to come up with a political analysis statement under KIC in Amharic on what the delegation is doing and what they are planning. There are enough heads present here to come with a response to the Open Letter to Ato Hailu (7) page, to Birtukan’s Minnesota statement and to Birhanu’s VOA interview.

We need to show that we can deal with political games if we do not we will show weakness this is a serious matter. KNA always played dead, zemeta was the choice. We cannot have KIC ending up toothless. This is a serious matter something should be done all minds should come together and come up with an Amharic analysis this is their final show we need to hit them and hit them hard and it should be read on both radios. Please get Shalequa Admassu and Ato Bedru into this and of course Tekle. This needs to be done ASAP.

  2. is this really true? eventhough i am a science student i love politics. i love politics because i love Ethiopia. people usually tend to stay away from politics not to get involved in a situation where they end up hurting their country. i don’t know why, in every country, political leaders tend to forget their primary agenda and get cought in a situation.

    i just hope these people who try to hurt our country realize how poor Ethiopia and start to focus in building it .

  9. The more they speak and write, the more their ignorance and shady character is revealed. In my humbel opinion, CUD or Kinijit is better off without this kind of people in the organization particularly in leadership position. What a contrast with the way Judge Birtukan, Dr Berhanu, Dr Hailu Araya, Engineer Gezachew and Ato Brook conducted themselves – it was simply a class act. Listening to Dr Berhanu on VOA shows how principled and dignified this person is – the smear and the name calling tactics on the part of the Hailu Shawel, Taye and others didn’t work – and it will never work!!!

    This is more than interesting. Who is this Diana anyway? What kind of role does she have with these bunch of losers?

    Ethiopians in the Diaspora should ask the return of their money that is being used by Kinijit.org website which is busy undermining our movement from within. They are doing a better job than Weyane in fighting us.

    This email clearly shows that Hailu Showel et al have eventually become the enemy within us. They have chosen to believe that it is preferable to fight the delegation than the Weyanes. What a bunch of fools and loosers!!

    They will become history soon when the Ethiopian people decide their fate. I know what the verdict is going to be for a group of diehard and dictatorial saboteurs who are attacking Kinijit from within like cancer. They are going to get a big lesson on the basics of democracy and the ABC of its principles. They will soon know that the days of individual dictatorship,corruption and lies are over.

    Hailu Showel et al should know we don’t need ‘Yegobez Aleqas’ any more. All these sacrifice and struggle is not to make Hailu Showel Yegobez aleqa. The days of worshipping individuals are over no matter what he/she does. This applies equally to any one. Be it Hailu Showel, Berhanu Nega or Burtukan Mideksa. One man one vote is the principle we follow. It does not matter if you are Hailu Showel, Berhanu or Burtukan, it is one man one vote.

    I can’t remember doing this before but today I’m angry. We knew it was coming but still, now that it is here, I find I’m actually angrier then ever.
    EEDN was created for free flow of idea, unity and above all to counter TPLF’s propaganda. Most of us served in different capacity in this medium genuinely. Diana K Mariam’s statement “we need to hit them and hit them hard and it should be read on both radios” is very troubling. I hope the EEDN board will investigate and make a decisive action on such mean spirited person. She is known to be a key members of EPRP. She needs to do that to TPLF not to people just come out prison.
    I urge fair-minded people to be a voice for justice and equality, and speak out against this vicious conspiracy and the unwarranted and unjust practices it promotes.
    What would these people want? Power? . Please help us stop them. It’s not kind. It’s just not right

Some time I was furious at these guys, I mean the KIC people.Now I more of pity them .They have gone astray and need some help to bring them back.All along all of them, including the Kinijit chairman, didn’t show any sort of intellectual or leadership demeanor and decorum.It amazes me the most that the KIC defied the party’s(Kinijits) decision of dissolving it by a letter signed by its chairman(I didn’t hear so far Eng. Hailu denying signing the letter sent to dissolve both KIL and KIC).

  19. Every time kinijit leaders cross a milestone, the KIC gangs get panicky and make a fool of themselves. Probably it is understandable. With their final episode in the making, this kind of low blow is the only option they are left with. However, the momentum of the movement is so forceful and steady, it won’t be stopped by rejected dictators and feudals. Move On!!!!

  28. Actually Diana was referring to Mirchaw’s as one of the radio stations. Now it is in the open that Hailu Shawel is financing Mirchaw’s radio. So Hailu Shawel is responsible for all the namecalling and lies that go on on Mirchaw’s Radio station.

  29. In Ethiopia, they have been using one of their short wave radios to dupe the Ethiopian people and to make Hailu Shawl statesman, which he is not.

    I wonder what is the name of the other radio station. If I am not mistaken, it is EPRP’s radio station. So Merchaw and EPRP are sources of lies and defamation.

    EPRP has been the culprit behind the scene, again as vicious, pernicious and obnoxious as they have been. They are lumpeons of humanity, as you never see them doing anything good except spewing mud or orchestrating conflicts.

    Now their radio station is engaged in support of a feudal lord called Hailu Shawl contrary to what they have been preaching, that is progressive and non-ethnocentric.

    To serve their unspecified and dangerous plan, it appears they joined Hailu Shawl and they made their radio station at the disposal of this reactionary and feudal group.

    That is EPRP. It means no good at any time and all the time. They are a curse on Ethiopia and the Ethiopian people like the Woyanes.
