Residents of Sululta, a suburb of Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa, have revolted against land giveaway and attacked government officials. It’s a good beginning. Ethiopians need to take back their country from the vampire regime that is selling every thing — from children to fertile lands — in Ethiopia, and invest the money in developed countries. The real teeth is with the poor people in Ethiopia. They are the one who are continuously disposessed and humiliated. Some passive ones in diaspora might appear to flaunt it’s teeth but it’s all dentures, artificial…… Might fall down as it opens to bite & end up all-gums no-bite.
the poor feel the brunt of the pain but some in diaspora get passified by the shrewd weyane catering to their needs as was shown in the 50 pages of the secret directives the weyane sent its embassiies to lure the diaspora and get them hooked with their selfish inherent greed. Once they bite the weyane’s bait, they become slaves of their greed while totally and willfully ignoring the plight of their fellow ethiopians who are dispossessed, humiliated, imprisoned, oppressed & killed. The struggle can only truimph with the active participation of the poor and dispossesed and never seen a diaspora led struggle that made a change. The diaspora can only support the home based struggle by financing/ fund-raising and media & publicizing the struggle to the outside world. eventhough the home-based struggle play a pivotal role, the diaspora can also have a major role & can be said that they both can coordinate their work and can also be said that they are two faces of a coin thay one can’t truimph without the other.
