  1. I don’t know if anyone has noticed this trend of killing taking place at different parts of the world with in the Ethiopian comunity….One must ask why is the number of tragics as such growing? Are we Ethiopians that harmful towards each other?, are we taking the comfert of the countries we reside in for granted?, and most of all What, how why and is the killer as guilty as we might zoom him/her after the incident took place? ….

Be it a man or woman, our culture or our way of life is not as cruel as it is coming to be ….

so let us start thinking and stop doing each other wrong…..

    may God bless the dead…

  2. I hope they give her that electric chair and she fries in hell for what she did to the poor wrking man.shame on her and deepest condolences to the victim’s and the shooter’s family.we see alot of similarity o kiilings in ATL just like the african american style PLESE LETS NOT BE A GENERATION WHO KILLS IT SELF.

  3. We are a generation cruelty and wanton killing was a way of life by either the Mengistu or Meles regime, where taking of life was justified. Hence it is the generation of those tragic days, who eventually came over here. Add to it, learning from the culture of the ghetto in solving problem. Sad but true. A heart felt condolences to either families, for their life is now intertwined for ever by such tragic incidence, which one chose to take away the others life.

  4. blacks always stab or gun down their black colleagues over the UK. Recent research identified some of the major cause of violent death within black community. one of the causes is social segregation and deprivation, in that slave rooted black have closer link with only black and any good thing such as earning money from drug dealing is shared within themselves, as well as any bad thing such as stabbing, shooting and violet crime have been committed with in that group. I am of the opinion that this research has a good indication with ethiopian diaspora as well

  5. Yes we are all product of murderous and desperate traditions. In traditions where humanity and human life are the most sacred values, there is no chance this could happen in such numbers.I don’t think there is another people/society as low morally as the Ethiopians regarding human life.Don’t forget we are a society who let butchers like Zenawi get away after murdering hundreds if not thousands of our countrymen. No society with minimal respect for life sit idly as long as such a murderer stays in office. The best we did is looking the other way.In our tradition we try to solve any problem in black and white manner and that leads to the wrong coclusion murder solves all.Typical of a desperate people/tradition.If we have some respect for human life,we do everything to save human life or make sure those murderers be put behind bars.

  6. we actually don’t know what is going on with this people but we have to find out why she killed him. some times we as a human judge other by hearing not by analyzing. so we have to say God will be with him and let her be what she can be at in where ever she will be.,

  7. This for Tamere, comment no. 10,
The crime rate within the Ethiopian community is really big taking the populations of the Ethiopian diaspora into account, if we can here about Ethiopians involved in crime this much in a country where over 300 million people lives in then its a big problem, you don’t here a lot of killings between civilians in Addis Ababa (excluding government related murders), so in my opinion, we Ethiopians in Diaspora are becoming very violent and detached from our dignified culture. Look what our own sisters are doing against us using the law as a scapegoat, getting married, giving birth, divorcing and living on child support and partying over night and we, who belong to the male gender also don’t know how to treat our sisters but rather we try to live it up like the drug addict and alcoholic losers we see around, I am sorry to say this but our community is really decaying, we cheat on our spouses, separated by faith and race, criticizing each other over stupid matters,
    God forgive us,

  8. i agree this is not politics, lets have heart for once. a young lad is slain and a poor young lady (too young to be involved in such a mess)is jailed. May the lord give comfort to both families…for a dead son/brother and for a naive and immmature daughter whose heart was heart broken to think straight. my heart goes our for her as much as it does for him.

  9. it really is a tragic happning to both the suspect and the victum. Rodas was going to college to be a better person. I really don’t know what got into her to commit such a crime. People lets reconsider or thoughts befor we get engeged in to tomthing thhat we can’t get out of. We come here to be better people not be worse.

  10. In this hard times filled with economic and social uncertainity I think we should rely more on our third world survival mechanism by coming together and sharing information towards each other to escape mind tormenting situations that lead to a heavy sorrow. We need to come together from all parts of the states to figure out a solution to reach the goal we set for ourselves when we left the motherland.

  11. What ever her reason was to murder him, it is not justified by any stretch of mind. Do you really know what was involved to bring the poor guy to this earth and actually raise him so that he can support his family but his life is cut short with perhaps a foul play that should not have taken place. it is a sad reality that some one can steep in and take your life just like that! Having said that , i just hope something brings about some kind of closure to the loved ones that this poor man left behind. God bless your soul!

  12. i m so suprised to hear ethiopians killing around wow we are here to to cahnge our lives not to learn how to hold guns and kinfes around we are bless and born to love each other where is all the clean heart metesaseb kere malet naw yesew hiwote keld honeh malet naw what happend god forgive us lets not judge except pray pray endanalke berasachin eij

  13. rest in peace i have no words its just there is no ethiopian menamn fiker exisiting anymore i guess. it really disgusted me wen i heard the killing b/n ethiopains wow and some ppl copmmenting stop juging and pray.

  14. I knew both of them. I wish we as a ppl. would learn to talk about our problems instead of hiding them. To everyone in here who is full of judgement, remeber you will someday face the REAL judge and give an account for your statement. Just Pray
