Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Meto Aleqa (Lieutenant) Alemayehu Yeneneh, a national council member of the Unity for Democracy and Justice Party (UDJ), has died today after suffering stroke.
Following the May 2005 elections, Lt. Alemayehu, who had worked as southern Ethiopia coordinator for the Coalition for Unity and Democracy (Kinijit), was arrested twice. On June 5, 2005, he was arrested and sent to Ziway prison, 200 km south of Addis Ababa. He was tortured by the Federal Police while in detention. His cellmate included Kinijit campaign strategist Andargachew Tsege, who was also savagely beaten up by the Federal Police. Both were released in August 2005. Again, on November 2, 2005, Lt. Alemayehu was arrested along with all the top leadership of Kinijit. This time he spent 21 months in prison. Conditions in prison, and the constant harassment by the Woyanne regime’s security while out of jail, had no doubt taken a toll on his health.
When UDJ was formed in October 2007, Lt. Alemayehu became a full time staff member of the party and an organizer of for southern {www:Ethiopia}.
Lt. Alemayehu, 45, was survived by his wife and 5 children.

Do not tell me he passed away from stroke. That is the code name for weyane tags when they feed you poision via their intricate spy agency.
Let’s give Alemayuhu the respect he deserves. Alemayehu Yeneneh was loyal to truth and his country and nothing else. Though he was AEPO man, that did not stop him from challenging his comrades when he believed they were on the wrong track. He was upright and righteous man. I had the honor to share a prision cell with him in Zeway concentration camp. In Zeway when he first saw my bruised face he wept bitterly. He was released a day earlier but stayed behind in Zeway for extra 24 hrs to see me free in his own eyes. He did not rush to Addis Ababa to his wife and his young children. As I was being led out of that dreadful concentration camp, Alemayehu was sitting on the grass outside waiting for me with my relatives. The joy in his face told me a lot about the man. More than anything else he was humane. In the time we spent together in Zeway, he had told me he had been in and out of Woyane’s prison a number of times. He was a member of AAPO when Professor Asrat was the president. When AAPO became AEPO he continued to work as an organizer. When AEPO joined Kinijit, Alemayehu became Kinijit organizer. In November 2005, he again ended up in Kality with the leaders of Kinijit party. Last year, he was elected and had become a member of Andinet Party’s national council and went on doing the job he loved — organizing the people. He was an unassuming guy. It is him and his friends away from the limelight who did the ground work for the mighty victory Kinijit scored against Woyane’s apartheid dictatorship in the 2005 elections. Let all sing the praise for this unsung hero. A true son of Ethiopia. Let’s renew our commitment to the cause of freedom in Ethiopia for which he had paid dearly. Most significant of all, let us not forget that he has left 5 young children and all under seventeen.

Yes, he was young and courageous who fough for democracy.

This is a clear sign that anyone who dares to challenge the tplf even if legally, will systematically be hunted down. To servive in the tplf’s world, one has to comply 200%. Sometimes that might not be enough.

Duguma Hunde, a prominent businessman who founded DH Geda Industrial Business Group, passed away of sudden natural causes, around midnight last Friday, January 09, 2008. Duguma was immediately taken to Tezena, a hospital near his house around Old Airport area, after he collapsed of “STROKE” he did not survive the incident, according to family members.
What is going on? Do you think these people are dying of natural cause? No, I don’t think so, Weyane is sending them poison secretly through others to cause them cardiac arrest. So, I don’t think the UDJ representative, the 2 buisness people who died 2 months ago and Ato Duguma died of a natural cause. Ask Weyane.

Very suspicious; knowing how woyanes operate, it looks and smells like a murder to me. Woyanes have been killing non woyanes ever since they came to power. Let’s face it—it is genocide going on in Ethiopia.

I would not forget that Meto Aleqa Alemayehu had an interview about a year ago at the diaspora discussion forum( paltalk,) commonly known as ALUBALTA room and he was severely insulted by the members of the group and he was even threathened by some members of this destuctive room for his life.
Actually, the people known by a nick names Gize Mizanu who resides in Nashville, USA, and another guy with the nick name May -15, who believed to be a weyane under cover temporary cadre that was hired to destroy kinijit and this guy resides in North Dakota, USA. He used to live in Nairobi, Keneya before he came over to the US through asylum. He has also carried multiple names from Ethiopia to Kenya and now in the US. He also has killed so many young high school students during red terror in suspect of EPRP members. Any way , these two above individuals and some other members of the room including ezana 72, Mermariwa, ADBARE( The lady who claimed to be an accountant for Shaleqa yoseph –hailu shawel corrupted group), benny, Mr x( an ex-member of Derg that had been involved in red terror drama). All these above individuals have verbally abused and harassed Meto Aleqa Alemayhu during his short time interview over the phone from addis ababa.
We Ethiopians will bring all these individuals to justice along with many other criminal groups of weyane when justice comes to Ethiopia, which is underway by the brave members and leaders of Ginbot 7.
