The gun-toting fake patriarch is planning to visit the Washington DC Mikael Church and other Ethiopian churches in the area.
It is unconscionable for the priests and board members of the Washington DC Mikael Church to invite this murderous thug as a religious father to their place of worship.
Ato GebreMedhin is not just a Woyanne cadre. He is a murderer. Several years ago, his heavily armed body guards had gunned down a harmless monk right in front of him. During the post-2005 elections, he had ordered churches to close their gates so that protesters who were trying to flee from Meles Zenawi’s death squads could not get in.

What business of the FBI of USA is it for an isolated crime of the clergy that took place in Ethiopia?.
As far as St Michael’s church invitation to Aba Paulos, it probably means Aba Melaku had made peace with St Michael’s church which he had (to my knowledge). So the invitation, however far reaching and may be unexpected, could have been influenced by Aba Melaku.

First of all if you are gonna take it that far, I will add that Ethiopian Orthodox chrurch clergy, they are corrupt top to bottom. They are responsible for the murder of top clergy during the revolution. They are like us. Yes they do godly work but they are never holy. I am a conservative Orthodox with respect to all other religions like Pentecostal and Islam. But ours are responsible for all the mess that we see.

I am one of the Addis Ababa University students taken from Menbere-Patriarc Kidist Mariam Church along with followers and non-followers of the Ancient Ethiopian Orthodox Church in 1993E.C.. Through time, i made my mind up. It is not our responsibility to put a leader in the church. It is only the will of God. Do you believe in God? Really? He can take care of everything let alone the church. Just leave that to Him. If you are the followers of the chruch, just serve the church whoever leads you for you are basically working for God. “Gibiz anhun”….I know, being from America is a liitle difficult to deal with these issues. Go and ask church fathers about the current and urgent problems of the church. There are about 25,000 churches in Ethiopia. As a Church leader (self appointed), he should have called for international intervention saying that Ethiopians being tortured and murdered. He should and must have expressed his deep concern for the people of Ethiopia by condemning Meles. For him to be quiet while people are being tortured and murdered and to top it all to align himself with the perpetrators is an excusable act. I do not consider this unkind man as a leader of my church. The members of this Michael Church in D.C. need to come to their senses not align them selves to Meles and his friends. Let us also not forget that this man was not appointed as papas by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.

First of all, Mahibere Kidusan has nothing to do with Abune Paulos’ invitaion to DC (I am not a member but I know), the only reason Mahibere Kidusan is not ousted from the Church by woyanne or let me say by Abune Paulos is because they have managed to stay in the Church regardless of the pressure from Bete Kihnet in order to keep the general public in the Church, here in the US, we can always abandon Churches affiliated with Abune Paulos and worship in the Churches under the leadership of Abune Merkorios but imagine, what can our brothers and sisters can do back home.
