A historic town hall meeting was held jointly by Alliance Liberty, Equality, and Justice in Ethiopia (ALEJE) and Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington, VA. During the meeting, Dr. Berhanu Nega, Chairman of Ginbot 7 and ALEJE, Dr. Nuro Dedefo, Executive Committee member and Head of Legal Affairs of OLF, and Dr. Getachew Begahsaw, Professor of Economics addressed the audience on several vital and topical issues with regard to the current political conditions in Ethiopia, and the urgent need to forge a broad alliance. With an IQ less than 70, Zabarga should first work hard to raise his IQ deficiency to at least 82 percent. Then he can write with a maximum difficulty a rudimentary comment where anyone can understand without wasting one’s precious time.
After he has gone through hell and high water, and after he has often gone off half cocked, Zabarga is still Zabarga, a confused person who always use the same word, and at that a profane one and continues to complain because I have said the Oslo incident is unfortunate but the motive is legitimate to discourage Muslims from dominating the whole world and from instituting their Sharia law, a barbaric law. I am telling the confused Zabarga not to look a gift horse in the mouth. I have said Muslims are living their birthplaces in a big number and flooding Europe, Australia, Canada, and the United States, and with their high birth rates, they are changing the demography of the world.

In a state of war!
Insane or normal, 32 or 82 years old, Norwegian or Pakistanis, Anders Behring Breivike has murdered 76 innocent people for he knew, according to his lawyer, he was in a state of war with Muslims, invading Europe. Concerned European Christians, Canadian Christians, Australian Christians, and American Christians may be also in a state of war with Muslims whose rampant growth in these generous and welcoming Christian lands has been alarming.
Is there any organization that is not in a state of war with the multitude of Muslims? Is not NATO in a state of war with the Taliban Muslims, with the Al Quaeda Muslims, and with the Libyan Muslims? Who is not in a state of war with Muslims who hate to be friends with the Christians, the Jews, and with the other nonbelievers (Quran 60:1)?
When President Obama declares America is not a Christian country but a country of Muslims and others, it seems he is telling us we Christian Americans are already in a state of war with Muslims whose migrations to a Christian America have no end at all, at least until President Obama’s term ends.

How true the word of that great prophet Jeremiah is: “They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. ‘Peace, peace,’ they say, when there is no peace” (Jeremiah 6:14). There are still some people, like this ignorant and careless Masresha, who simply want, in order to please their superiors, to cover up the bad with an artificial good, and the disease with temporary life, the absence of doctors with the fake presence of doctors. They do this to hide the state of war that exists in their country in various forms. Masresha may try to cheat the Ethiopian people by telling them there is no famine in the country; there is not a state of war in Ethiopia, and there is always a rule of law in all the provinces of Ethiopia. You, deluded Mersha, may cheat the Ethiopian people; however, your cheating will collapse like the flimsy wall; you may cover it with whitewash, but it will fall. You believe most people are in a state of peace and happiness. Tell me what constitutes happiness? Does the absence of pain or the absence of a state of war constitute hedonism, pleasure, and perfect tranquility? Does abstaining from bodily desire and living an ascetic life renders a person free from a state of war? Even if a person gives everything he owns to a charity and goes to Waldiba Gedam or to Mahiber-Selassie Gedam and spends the rest of his life there, do you think he will be free from a state of war? Never! Go to one of the Ethiopian monasteries and see for yourself how the monks and the nuns live in a state of war in a monastery, and how they fight everyday with their carnal desires and with the outside world. Whether a person is living in a secular world or in a monastery, he will never be free from a state of war. Whether a person is a president, a king, a queen, a prime minister, a patriarch, an imam, and a house keeper, he will never be free from a state of war. Whether a person is like Al Amoudi, the richest person in the world or like Assta B. Gettu, the poorest person in the whole country, he is still living in a state of war.
Jesus himself lived in a state of war: “Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.

This time, your state of war is with Emperor Haile Selassie, Lalibela, second-hand computer, coca cola, hamburger, and potato chips. I will tell you Emperor Haile Selassie was one of the greatest Ethiopian kings ever ruled Ethiopia, and that is why Ethiopians called him ጸሐዩ ንጉሥ, and the beauty of Lalibela is one of the wanders of the world. As a little and demented person, you are insulting second-hand computer users, hamburger and potato chips eaters and coca cola drinkers; therefore, you are in a state of war with those lovers of hamburger, potato chips, coca cola, and second-hand computers.
The only redemption for your backwardness, total darkness you are in, and lack of understanding abstract words such as hedonism, tranquility, peace, state of war is to go to one of the best Ethiopian Church schools and start learning ሀሁ for at least seven years. At the same particular period and under the same rule of government there were large numbers of people who were in a state of war and complete state of unhappiness and misery. This again is the second side of the same coin.
And now again, some of those people who were in a state of war devoid of basic happy life conditions during HIM’S rule are currently enjoying life and more than happy while Assta B.Gettu is in a state of war and complete pessimism with which he tries to contaminate even the people who do not share his utterly deterministic one dimensional distorted world outlook.

We know the fact that humans can think and ct consciously as to create happiness or unhappiness and something in between. So, let us join hands in unity within diversity and create happiness and a permanent state of peace and prosperity for all.

How do you know how you are going to feel and act when you are dead and buried after which time you may supposedly travel in to the kingdom of heavens since you have never been there or none have come back to share experiences with living?
For example, for me I feel free, peaceful and happy when I am in this beautiful world, enjoying green and worm summers, rainy and fertile autumns, cold and clean winter white snow land scape where I may go skiing, skating, snow boarding, fishing under the ice and making delicious fish soup as well as proceeding to the beautiful spring season with its budding flowers and tender environment waking up to salute humans. The state of war is in everybody’s blood. Don’t take the state of war as a curse; take it as a blessing given to all human beings by their creator when he said first to the serpent: “Cursed are you above all the live stock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” Then he said to the woman: “I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children….” Then he said to the man: “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you…by the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground…” (Genesis 3:13-19).
Do you understand the state of war was given to us as a result of our rebellious nature in the Garden of Eden when we broke God’s commandment: “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die” (Genesis 2:16-17).
Therefore, we continue to live in a state of war to feed our selves, to get our education, and to protect our country from our enemies who are in a state of war, too, like ourselves. A person who is not in a state of war is a dead person without a soul. All the geniuses who invented the printing press, the telescope, the compass, the electricity, the telegraph, the telephone, the cars, the computer, and the Internet had been in a state of war, and the results of their state of war are their inventions that have been very useful for all of us, today. Had they not been in a state of war, they could have never invented some of the wonders of the world – their inventions.
The only person who can survive in this world is a person who is in a state of war, a person who struggles day and night to improve himself, to be better than the other person. The moment the state of war stops in a person, the person departs from this world of the state of war. The state of war is a person’s heart; when the person’s heart stops beating, the person dies. There is no real peace treaty that ends the state of war in a person, and since the state of war in a person is part of a person’s life, no peace treaty is needed.
No one in this world will succeed unless he is in a state of war, in a constant struggle to excel the other. America has been in a state of war since its inception, and the result of its state of war is that America is now the only supper power in the world.
The main advantage to always be in a state of war is no one comes to break your house to steal your properties if he knows you are in a state of war. You are most of the time awake, alert, doing some tangible things, and taking care of your family and your properties. Follow the advice of the Holy Scripture: “Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come” (Mark 13:33). When you are told to be alert, you have to be in a state of war with your dozing or sleep. The shepherds of Bethlehem were in a state of war without sleep that particular night when they suddenly joined the angles singing a new song about the birth of Jesus Christ. If they were in a state of peace, in a state of dozing, they could have never gotten the chance to sing with the heavenly hosts in that glorious night in the city of David.

It is true the indigenous Ethiopian Christians will go to Jesus’ paradise because they believe Jesus is the Son of God, but those who do not believe in Jesus will never inherit the kingdom of God: “We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. The United Nations says three Ethiopian peacekeepers died while Sudan refused to allow them to be flown to a hospital.
U.N. peacekeeping chief Alain Le Roi told reporters Thursday the peacekeepers were taken to a helicopter after being seriously wounded in a land mine explosion. But he said the helicopter waited for three hours because the Sudanese government threatened to shoot it down if it took off.

Ethiopia provided the troops for the recently-approved Abyei peacekeeping force.
Abyei sits on the border between Sudan and the new nation of South Sudan. The two countries have been unable to decide which one should control the oil-rich region.
Sudanese troops occupied Abyei on May 21, about seven weeks before South Sudan declared independence.
Both sides have agreed to withdraw their forces under a deal that led to the creation of the U.N. peacekeeping force.
