  1. When we discuss Ethiopia’s problem, we have to be Ethiopian. I mean all Ethiopians who are proud to be Ethiopian (Oromo, Amara, Tigre, Garage, —-). However, if somebody says that he or she isn’t Ethiopian they should not be in the Ethiopian Unity meeting.
    If somebody is opposing Obang metho’s definition of Ethiopiawinet, that person should be kicked out of the meeting.
    Come on guys! Enough is enough! Don’t entertain any secessionist anymore or trying to create another AFD II, AFD III and so on. It doesn’t work because a secessionist can’t unit Ethiopia.
    Long live beautiful Ethiopia.

  2. To say that all factors must coincide for toppling a dictator is only a theoretical determinist statement devoid of the logic of social movement. Even tyrant Meles himself will agree or even contribute to the statement knowing that all factors may not really automatically coincide in practice and in the start, hence no unity and no toppling.

    In reality social movements start with the active core going in to action, sacrificing and playing role model. Soon spreading to the neutral bystanders who spread the actions to the opposing camps who may join the resistance in an anticipation for change.

    That is how it happened even in Tunisia and Egypt. It was a gradual but sustainable gathering of forces from the automatic supporters of change, skeptical bystanders and finally even lots of opposing forces with the exception of the selected police intelligence communities. Even the few die hard feudo/aritocratic elements trying to bring back the 19th century another minority dictatorship like #1.T Mengesha may join band wagon at least in the last minute when they see that grabbing power from tplf for themselves alone is NOT any more possible, because in that case Wayane will absolutely win against them. If T.Mengesha is a snake divisive Wayane agent, then it is a different matter.

  3. Therefore, this study substantiates the fact that Ethiopia at this stage only fulfills the third and the fourth criteria is entirley variable. Does that mean a regime toppling at this point is not iminent?

  4. T;

    It is your kind of people who have had created the mess we are in. People who think that their way is the only way almost always tend to create uninviting atmospher where good people shy away from. Every one who is born in that unfortunate land does have an infinite desire to live in a peasceful, democratic country regardless of his or her ethnic, religious and gender, however, that kind of ethiopia is not their yet. It is every one’s resposibility to undestand the opposing view of various people and form a fram work that leads to that desired destiny. My way or no way sort of attitude will never bring people together but rather distance them from each other. Compromise is the way to go. You can not impose your view of that country on others. We need to stop being ignorant and arrogant but open to different ideas and work together in order to create the kind of ethiopia that will bring all of its childern together. ZERAF does not work in tweny first centuries if you know what i mean.

  5. Be a real MAN like Atse Theodrose. A real man with no fear, with two balls intact in the brain. A real man with no shame. A real man who is not afraid of a woman…..

  6. I concur with the thought expressed by T.Mengesha above.
    One of the few difficulties we have these days, within the Diaspora community is the fact that some political organizations have a tendency to establish or form alliance with Ethiopia’s enemies ,such as Hamasen,and with some of unsavory organizations that are openly hostile to the idea of a united Ethiopia such as olf.As a result, with the exception of Medrec, the leaders of these organizations knowingly or otherwise are posturing themselves as sole representative leaders of the rest of Ethiopians. I have in the past opposed any alliance with Hamasen on the ground that Shabia is the primary enemy of Ethiopia, and will continue to do so.

    I see no reason why I have to modify my views concerning this issue, especilly after the murder of EPPF members by Shabia in Hamasen.My attitude towards shabia from the get go has been leave the malignant Shabia to conduct her course.

    Likewise, the olf also made it clear its strategic goal is to cede from Ethiopa, to this end, it has vigorously engaged with new freshness to propagate its strategic plan in many Ethiopian forums.
    As if it is saying this is the time to convince Ethiopians about their intended goal, and to my surprise the extremist view of the olf agenda has not been challenged in these forums.Beside, Shabia in conjectio0n with hamasen are training olf.In the end the silence majority need to break loose of their self imposed silence and begin to share their views over these issues now. Finally, the organizations that claim to fight to liberate Ethiopians from tyrany, and dictator ship need to steer clear of any dealing with antidemocratic forces and openly hostile forces towards Ethiopia.

    An organization that advocates freedom assembly, of speech, law and order must not confuse its strategic plan by committing political suicide by seeking alliance with the country’s arch rivals and open enemies. We must not emphasize alliance with our traditional enemies at the expense of security and peace. Granted that unseating the regime is our foremost task, we must envision about the country’s long term peaceful solution. By all means, we need to be tolerant to views that are contrary to our own, and need not rush to muzzle the opinions of some. Finally, there is not any easy solution to the task at hand. It demands the involvement of every concerned citize, it demands they unity of our people, unity among those who are interested to see diversity within a united Ethiopia.

  7. Derbabaw & T Mengesha,

    Typical Wayane vagabonds trying to divide and divert attention since the damn dam, the land grabs and the war drums are being exposed and being diluted. THUMBS DOWN! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

  8. King10, gifti and Mega;
    Wow! The minute you disagree with anybody, you jump up and down and call dictator, mess, snake, banda, weyane ……. as usual. If there is to be change in Ethiopia, it must be focused on the future. We don’t want to repeat the mistakes of 1974 and 1991. These revolutions were crumbling to fail from the very start, because we were the tools of Ethiopia’s enemies… Shabia, TPLF, OLF and ONLF. That is what #1 and #6 are saying and it is very true. If you don’t agree those are your opinions and go ahead and make my day.

  9. So called Mega,what is the evidence for your smear ?How fitting is your nick name;Is not Mega the weyane book store head quarterd at Bole menged and its branches across many cities.How dare you lebell me as weyane.You must be shabian agent or extrimist olf member to be offended at my message.As an Ethiopian I see no difference between Shabia,weyane,and olf? As a result, I strongly oppose any entanglment with Shabia,olf ,weyane and their sponser Egypt.Political organizations that perport to liberate Ethiopia must steer clear of any entanglement with these axsis of evil.Call me any thing,I won’t be discouraged to air my views over this issue.

  10. Derib and Derbabaw,

    Divisive green snakes meandering in green grasses. Remember that we are here as 90 million Ethiopians who have been and are being divided, tyrannized and dehumanized by the land grabbing Wayane dictatorship and its cadres like you, always trying to cunningly divert our attention by pointing fingers at irrelevant Dams, Egypt, Kenya,Somalia, Eritrea, Shabia, etc. etc. dumb propagada we were used to for the last 20 years.

    Absolutely we know that you are Wayane cadres when you try your best and divert Ethiopian attention from opposing wayane by focusing on irrelevant external stupid issues. Please don’t lie but admit your underground cadre work for the protection of Wayane elites. Shame!

    Please leave us alone so that we deal with the tplf thugs willingly impoverishing, dictating and dehumanizing 90 million Ethiopians, while we let the Egyptians, the Kenyans, the Somalis, the Ugandans, the Eritreans and others deal with their own internal matter as they see them fit for themselves.
