Al Amoudi files lawsuit in London against Ethiopian Review

Ethiopian billionaire businessman Ato Al Amoudi has filed a lawsuit against Ethiopian Review in a U.K. high court. The lawsuit claims that the magazine:

…has gravely injured the reputation of the Claimant, has exposed him to public scandal, contempt and odium and has caused him considerable embarrassment and distress.

I am glad that Ethiopian Review has caused this much harm to the scumbag Woyanne blood sucker. More is coming at him once the trial starts in court.

Some of the witnesses mentioned in the lawsuit are Woyanne Ambassador in London and other embassy staff.

I’m not sure why Al Amoudi decided to sue me in a British high court since Ethiopian Review is based in the U.S. Also he might have spent over $10,000 to a private investigation firm to find me and serve me with the lawsuit. I was having lunch at a restaurant today when a 7-foot, 250 lbs man claiming to be a former FBI agent served me with the court papers. Apparently, he and his partners have been tracking me across eastern United States since mid December. They could have just called me and I would have gone to their office to pick up the papers.     Is there an extradition treaty between the US and UK in matters of civil liability suits? In that case I think you are on solid ground.

    I just hope they will not treat you as they did Julian Asange the wikileaks guy, governments doing each other favors by prosecuting people who are not to their liking. In that case I will pray for you.

    Not sure what the charge is. This individual is a public figure. Public personalities are subject to scrutiny of all types. I’m surprised the court even took this case.

Please do not be caught scorning and tabloid(ing) his daughter anymore; however, do not back down from exposing or confronting him on more important issues. Al Amoudi is the head of the snake in Ethiopia. Snakes are smooth and smart and also deadly. He will play, divide and even endangered us if necessary. He has resources and followers. He is the multi-head biblical serpent of our time. Given his Syrian and Saudi pedigree and sudden startling emergence on the Ethiopian scene, Ethiopians of all stripe should be wary of him. You are unlikely to match him in the money category, therefore, at the least, try to have followers in the event of an escalated war.

    What do you mean by “They should have served you bullets”? Watch your language!!! This is a society where rule of law prevails. This reminds me of a story I read(saw) on one of the major US networks back in the early 80’s(it could have been New York Times), how Muammar Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi of Libya was rumored to have used ex green berets to intimidate and even physically eliminate his staunch opponents living in Europe and USA. Now this billionaire is using former FBI ‘mob’ figure to serve Mr. Elias the court paper? Why didn’t the billionaire use the ever-free western media to discredit the said article posted on this website? What Asange did was categorically different from this case. I don’t agree with what Asange did and I have doubts about his intentions. He should be persecuted to the fullest extent of any civilized law. He has put the lives of hard working people in danger. But Elias did not do any of such things. This is just sheer intimidation. And this is an indication of what to come. The next wave of litigation is going to be by mongoose-face goon from cactus infested Dedebit against Brothers Elias, AL GM and others. May be one of the reasons why Al Amoudi filed the lawsuit in UK instead of the US might be because the claimant and his firm believed that Ethiopian review has little readership and support in the UK. What it says in the last pages however is that if the defendant decides to dispute the claim, then the file will be transferred to a court nearest to the defendant. Can anybody elaborate on that?

It is a known fact that Alamoudi sleeps with under-age girls. I know for a fact that he slept with a 15 years old girl while he was in London. The women is now in her early 20’s and considering suing him. I will encourage her to come forward and sue this pedophile so that he stops sleeping with poor girls because of his wealth.     This is a good indication that your doing your job up to the standard of a real journalist. Of course Al Amoudin is rich, he can wield his economic power to bully you around for sometime. I hope you very well understand your rights and duties. You can just serf and look yahoo and other news that permit comments from readers. Just as an example, take News concerning Obama and how readers are allowed to freely comment on the subject.

    Please consider to carefully utilize some international investigative journals and journalist in exclusive manner. We should pull out more info from Mr. AL Alamaudin. Maybe he will end up paying the money we need to free Ethiopia from his Dictator friend Melese. Also consider to highly publicize about him every where he has investments. I am sure, there will be more politicians, environmental group and interested employee, who want to take Mr. Almoudin down. in Any case we have to widen the hole he started until he regret his birth!

  29. Elias – I am indeed sorry to hear this. Nevertheless, it is time for you to think over what you have been doing. To be honest, all your accussations and name calling towards Al-Almoudi and others were not based on critical evidence, supporting documentation, or result of a thorough journalistic investigations. This kind of information indeed made serious damage to individuals and we should not blame them if they choose to protect their name and reputation through legal means.

    Elias – I thin it is time for you to think about the quality of your service. We all appreciate your courage, but we really want to read sound, articulated, informative, and educational articles at this site.

  31. First, I believe that no civilized person should attack innocent children of a criminal or what have you. Elias, I do believe you have made error on that. You have many informations that you can dig about the man if you want to disgrace him. That was weak on your part. Some times I don’t understand your mission. If you want to attack where it hurts, there are many soft spots in the man’s history with out extending to his children.
    Second, this may temporarily increase the popularity of this website but it could hamper your long term mission. I do know a popular radio station that was stopped with a similar stuff. While you can continue to serve your people, what is the purpose of wasting your time in this type of issues.
    Third, I don’t believe the man has a real cause but his money can cause you to lose some sleep. I am sure that by now you have good knowledge of internet media law; therefore, I will not try to brief you on that.
    Fourth, personally I would contribute to your legal fund if and when you need support. As a non supporter but as a frequent visitor of your website, for the service you give to the community by providing diverse and informative news and other important issues, I will contribute to the legal fund every month intermittently until the case is closed.
    Sixth, I respectfully ask you that please stop attacking or bringing defamatory stories about childrens of anyone be it woyane or else. You have ample evidence and information to emabarass any of them. Leave the children alone.

  35. He is suing in London, just maybe he felt that he can make him spend money to travel there. I am sure the weyanne hand is in this case, since they might not like what they see. One thing for sure is that he has to prove is how he is defamed and caused him embarrassment.

    I guess, he is with the mindset of he being in Ethiopia, where the Weyanne can help him in stealing the country blindly buy land for the Arabs, help sell children.     There is a great difference in the law of freedom of expression in the UK and the US. In order to protect mainly the royal family and other aristocrats, the right of freedom of expression in the UK is very narrow. Whereas, the US has the widest right of freedom of expression in the world.

    For instance, in the UK what you have said about Alamoudin would be presumed false, and thus you are expected to prove that you are telling the truth. But in the US, what you have said about him would be presumed true, and Alamoudin has to prove that it is false. Believe me, the difference in these presumptions makes a lot of difference in litigation. Because they shift the burden of proof from one person to another.

    In legal terms, what Alamoudin’s lawyers are doing is called forum shopping, meaning, they are choosing a forum that is favorable to them. I think they believe that if they sue you here in the US, they will not win. That is why they are choosing the law of the UK, like similar other influential but infamous people all over the world.

    Once the trial starts, there will be a lot of people who can give character witness about this evil person, that is severely punishable by Islamic as well as secular law of the world.

    We will make sure, that these character witness are available to you. If the public hear about his an islamic behavior, I think he will be expelled from saudi Arabia, fearing a scandal. the whole Saudi conservative Islamic population will demand that he is publicly lashed :).
