  1. Elias – I think you seem encouraged by the fact that Ethiopian Review’s choice creates public discussion. If that so – please select Prime Minister Meles Zenawi as person of the year, 2010. If all things be put on a table to compare the two famous tyranys of East Africa, Meles and Isaias, I think the later has a lot to prove for being selected as person of year by the Ethiopian Review.

Please also note that so many of us, who visit your site to learn about the day’s gossip, are not interested to know who would be choosen by Ethiopian Review as person of the year. From our understanding of gossips we can easily predict that you will choose Birtukan Mideksa.
    God bless Ethiopia. Amen

    Kewle

  2. Isayas Aforki should be the man of the year for turning people into target practice for Egyptian boarder guards medebarya. Elias please make isayas the man of the year for all true ethiopians.

  3. I hope this time around the selection will be ETHIOPIAN. Hopefully Bertukan Midekesa of ETHIOPIA. She took more crap than anybody else in the year 2010. The spineless so called Ethiopian oppositions didn’t even have the guts to stand on her be half. I hope Elias make a note of it.

  4. Undoubtedly-PM Melese Zenaw is man of the year, for registering double digit economic growth for seven consecutive years and creating peace, democracy and stability in Ethiopia.

  5. I can’t wait to hear your nominee of ER’s person of the year. I expect him/her to be some one controversial as usual but NOT by choosing a fool like you did with “Issayas the beast”. That only shows ignorance, immaturity and irresponsibility and you know how it has devastated your image and will continue to affect you until you do something completely different that offsets it. May be nominating him as:

1, the foolest person to be a leader
2, a beast with fastest processing brain
    3, lowest IQ creature
    :
Or something similar which describes the true Issayas .
I can’t believe that a man with a working brain would waste spend a minute of his time trying to defend or fallaciously elevating the status of a beast. Ofcourse, it is the land of illitrate shabias, 5 milion people with a single university, which is almost closed.

How humiliating is to be represented by a beast ? What would be shabias excuse to support this beast, a person who swears by the sun and the moon that he will not leave a piece of land for one minute, just to hand-over 25% of the country and people he represent for 10 strait years ? Wasn’t it easier to shut their beast up than begging now for no vain?

  6. I hope it is Birtukan midekssa. No Isayas nonsense please. I will pick you Elias as a runner up for your truthfulness and determination. You tell the truth in public and that is why woyane and its surrogates are scared of you. More power to you and Ethiopian review in the year 2011.

  7. Issayas Afeworki. who elese?

please Elias, please, please choose Issayas Afeworki again. he is our hero man and we love our leader president of eritrea. he free us from ethiopia

    Hafash Eritrea
    long live Issayas Afeworki
    down to ethiopia

  8. It is of course Eritrea! The country that is disproving flat on their face all the “Nay-Sayers” put together. Unfortunately even Elias seems to have been dragged into what I call innuendo and tabloid journalism. At any rate:
A country that has done the CECAFA, all with its own resources and when it was in some official “Sanction” thanks to our “Government” of the Tigrean Mafiosi
A country that has beaten the “Nay-Sayers” at their own game
A country that showed up big and strong when it was given up for the dead!
A country that has been accused of all the negative things a person can think off and turned out all was malicious and fabricated lie after lie
A country that should just dump the Ethiopian struggles for what it is being wrongly accused – but kept on working with them out of principle and for the benefit of both Ethiopia and Eritrea
A country that dared to stand against the sole Superpower selfish wishes and designs
A country that NEVER gives a up and a practical example of “Keeps on going when the going gets tough”
A country that is slated to be a good example of Third World resilience against the “Master slave” relationship the :First World” countries have come to expect from Africa
A country that fulfils its obligations even though the verdict may not have been against its likings – Hanish Verdict comes in mind. I can keep on and on, but, I believe you got the point

  9. mrara
This year, I don’t think you will give choices to your viewers becaue you already mad with Essyas. The choice only yours Birtukan Mideksa.
Truly, your web becaming like other tabloyd.

  10. Elias,
For a change give the title to someone who contributed towards improving the life of fellow Ethiopians. forget politician, choose someone who went out of his/her way to make life better for someone. it does not matter if they help one person or millions just give it to someone who truly care for fellow ethiopians. i think that is what we need, caring person, someone who really and truly commited to help. so i hope you do the right thing.

  11. Birtukan( the Birtu-set of Ethiopia)
deserves that title,Elias disregard other craps comments posted like #10 above-he can go to other rumor and gossip sites to satisfy his/her gossip cravings.
