U.S. official in charge of Africa policy caught in a lie (Wikileaks)

In September 2007, nine months after Ethiopian despot Meles Zenawi invaded Somalia, the top U.S. officials for Africa policy, Ms. Jendayi Frazer, told TIME magazine: “We urged the Ethiopian military not to go into Somalia.” [read here]

The just-released U.S. diplomatic cable that is leaked to Wikileaks.org [read here] contradicts Jendayi’s statement. It is now confirmed by the U.S. Government’s own diplomats that the Woyanne invasion of Somalia that resulted in the killing of 20,000 Somali civilians and the displacement of 2 million others was masterminded by the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Africa and carried out by the beggar tyrant in Ethiopia.

  1. The US involvement in the war between Ethiopia and Somalia is not a surprise discovery. What surprised me the most is knowing how inexperienced and incompetent the TPLF military leaders are.
What kind of compensation have the poor families of the Ethiopian soldiers have gotten from US for their sacrifices? Is it possible Meles and his cronies have pocketed whatever compensation that was paid to help the dead soldiers families? It is extremely disturbing and disappointing that the Obama administration is still working with a tyrant that has violated the basic Human Rights of millions of Ethiopians, and a man the has tortured and killed hundred of innocent Ethiopians.

  2. The truth can never be hidden forever. It can never be buried. We knew all along so this is all about the last remaining cover/defense of TPLF..the usa.
Now the truth is blown wide open with evidence of thousands of secret documents leaving moles like Meles exposed.
    Thank god.

  3. People,

We must know that our past leaders, Haileselassie, had a good diplomacy relationship with Western countries, that is, as an ally of the West of course he has to involve himself with the issue of the West, however, at the same time, he made sure the integrity of Ethiopia is kept. While he was still ally he was still feeling the pressure of Egypt on Nile issue and Djibouti. We have to know the history why he gave up Djibouti to France.

Today, the sacrifice is too much as Ethiopia became weaker and weaker while still being an ally of U.S. Take Ghana for example, it is an ally of the West, at the same time, they are not being asked by the West to give concessions, however, Ghana has found the antidote, that is, it brought its own nation and people importance first and foremost. The West therefore has equal respect for Ghana. On the other hand, a country like Ethiopia, whose leader has already issues with its own people, who has low self esteem, lack of identity as a proud Ethiopia has made Ethiopia weaker therefore don’t expect the West to have respect for Ethiopia therefore will use it for exploitation for self interest. Who is the problem here why the West sees their allies in a different way for some beneficial for the the others damaging like Ethiopia’s case is because, it is the people. Forget the leadership, the people, like Ghana must respect themselves to reject such leadership such as Meles regime, in order to gain respect in the world like we gained resepect during WWWI and WWII. Until we refuse division and unite and sacrifice ourselves, we will be a laughing stalk of the powerful. Respect comes only if we respect ourselves and say no to tyrany, oppression.

  4. Haialom,

The US was paying Zenawi’s Woyyane to the tune of $100 million a month for the invasion of Somalia and for running secret prisons, according to some estimates.

The Somalia war that brought death and destruction to the Somali people was a financial bonanza for the Ethiopian regime.

    May God help us.

  5. I am sure Mr Melese Zenawi and his “boss” Ms. Jendayi Frazer has a lot to answer. The life of 20,000 Somalis and thousands of Ethiopian soldiers who died in Somalia is not something to be ignored. I am calling on International Crime Court(ICC) and the UN as well as other international law entities to prosecute both Melese Zenawi and Jendayi Frazer for crime against humanity. There is no need to bit arround the bush. The Truth need to be said and said clearly. Melese and Frazer instigated genocide in Somalia. Message to Mr Luis Moreno Ocampo, ICC Prosecutor are you aware of this evidence? If you are it’s time to act, If you aren’t its time to investigate. I know you are busy with El-Bashir of Sudan and similar cases in Kenya but I think you do have the power and resources to take on Melese and Frazer.

  6. It’s not the House Negro “Jendayi Frazer” perse. it’s the lie-machine in Foggy Bottom that ordered to say so. History will judge that Jendayi Frazer walked with blood of innocent Somali children on her hands. Talk about “black-on-black crime”. House Negros like Jendayi Frazer are only a reminder that black America has not been emancipated from mental slavery.

  7. these secrets are not as such secret and it doesn’t has any effect. but posibly USA want to redirecting the attention of the global world . the true secrets are not released yet .

  8. Jenday Frazer is the most incompetent and liar diplomat. She is not fit to have that position at all. She does not know any thing about Africa and its culture. The truth is coming now.
