  1. Thank you. We thank you for your hard work and tenacity defending Ethiopia. I hope Prof. Mesfin get a copy of this resolution. The gloves are off!
    Go G7
    Regards,

  2. There we go again! When are you, Ethiopian intellectuals and especially those in the Diaspora, ever going to learn that bygones are bygones. It doesn’t do anybody any good to cry over spilled milk. Does it?
Now, what about “Adirob, Tserona and Badme? And what do these localities have to do with the Ethio-Sudan “Border committee”? Com’on folks, you are doing some terrible disservice to your country and people by amalgamating the Ethio-Sudan issue with the one that was legally resolved, the so called Ethio-Eritrea border issue. You really are. Let me tell you folks, most of you can read the findings and decisions of the EEBC and they have decided those localities belong to Eritrea. What you’re conveniently overlooking or maliciously don’t want to talk about is that some localities have been given to Ethiopia that clearly belonged to Eritrea per the EEBC decision. In my opinion, the Eritrean government should have rejected the EEBC decision just like the street smart Meles did for a big area was given to Ethiopia. But, I guess, our Eritrean brothers and sisters probably are wiser than the rest of us and as far as I know, they have accepted those anomalies and are willing to live with the decisions. So what if a person happens to be an Irob on the part of Ethiopia? He/she surely would have liked to remain “united” with Irob “people” that are separated in Eritrea. But so would the people of all bordering nationalities in the Sudan, Kenya, Somalia and Djibouti etc. But, I do not see this as an insurmountable problem. I am sure, if there was peace one can go visit his/her relatives in Eritrea as one’s relatives can come over to the Ethiopian side to visit whomever they like. What is the big fuss? Are we going to start wars allover the border areas because some chauvinist zealots dreamt about? I hope not for that would be a sure bet for disaster.
Moreover, I am convinced those “Ethiopians” that are linking the Eritrea-Ethiopia border decision with that of Ethiopia – Sudan issue are a bunch of chauvinist neftegnoch who did not give a darn when Eritreans were being massacred by the previous Ethiopian regimes – including the criminal Weyane thugs who have even deported Eritreans (including legally Ethiopians of Eritrean heritage). Where were you guys when that happened? I don’t recall any of you protest the injustices that happened to our Ethiopian and Eritrean brothers and sisters when they were kicked out of the country they called home and their properties stolen by your Weyane criminals? Where were you? How come none of you murmered a word against the inhumane treatment to our brothers and sisters including children and nursing mothers? Come on, go ahead, and answer me. I am still waiting for your answer.
Folks it is easy- very easy- to whine, but where is the beef? As long as you guys keep on mixing oranges and apples you ain’t going to be counted. No wonder the Weyane is abusing you left and right and you do nothing of substance except complaining. Oh, yes, I forgot, you always accuse Shabya and Isaias and the Chiraq for your misery. That is not going to work. Let us be truthful and honest enough and attempt to solve some of the myriads of problems we face. More importantly, let’s not play the blame game. What have you done for Ethiopia lately? No! No! No! Trash talking doesn’t count for it doesn’t amount to a hill of beans!

  3. Weqaw you said,

“..including the criminal Weyane thugs who have even deported Eritreans (including legally Ethiopians of Eritrean heritage). Where were you guys when that happened? Supposedly, Eritreans voted 99% for secession of Eritrea. Therefore, why would you remain in Eritrea? You got your wealth in Ethiopia, does it make sense to take the wealth to Eritrea? You said the past regimes oppressed Eritreans, you must be joking. Who were the ones who owned the most businesses in Addis? Who were the ones educated in Ethiopia? Who were the ones who went to the best school? Eritreans of course. What you are saying is nonsense. You guys are the one who started this ethnocentrist ideology therefore your wish had come true, but what you dreamt which is delusional dream doesn’t come true, does it? Today, you guys have fake Ethiopian passport saying you are Tigre instead of Eritrea to go back to Ethiopia. Why do you want to go back to Ethiopia you hate in the first place? Make up your mind! For the record, I don’t support Weyane either.

  4. We are still talking about “committes and meetings”. It is sad very few people are working hard against Woyannies. The Woyanies have been in power for 17 years and they will continue the next 17 years if keep on dreaming “peace” to be handed over from Woyannies.
This is shame to every Ethiopian who lives in the past just talking about Minelik or about past “hamot and dfret”.
If we want to be free from woyannies lets fight back as Minelik or Elias Kiflie does, i.e find out what harms woyannies most. Otherwise, we have to accept slavery and live with it.

  5. Peace,
That is precisely what I am talking about. You are a good example. You sound like you never heard of Ethiopian government atrocities against civilian Eritreans during the long 30 years war of independence. Just ask your uncles, aunts, fathers and mothers. Your older sibling might even know what kind of hardship our Eritrean brothers and sisters have gone. Such things as mass arrests and whole sale bombings of localities were commonly practiced. The setting a light of many huts with the people herded inside. That is persecution by any definition.

Yes, the Eritreans voted overwhelmingly for independence, But, that does not give the Weyanes any more right to plunder the property of Eritreans who have built it though their sweat than You and I if we decided to rob a bank, for example! Are you saying, if someone decides to vote on the referendum, he/she is condemned to be stolen from etc? I hope not.

  6. If we get rid of the banda the Sudanese would know how to behave. I suggest let us go to the root of the problem and get rid of the cancer that was incubated in adwa – the bandas are all affected by the desease we need to get rid of them first -all other problems would be handled maturely.
