On its Sunday editorial, Columbia Spectator has asked students at Columbia University to show care about Ethiopia and speak out against the despot, Meles Zenawi. The paper expressed its disappointment that Meles Zenawi’s visit to the campus is not receiving the kind of criticism that Iranian president Ahmadinejad faced three years ago:
Three years ago, College Walk was littered with stinging critiques of the president of Iran. The facade of Butler was plastered with controversial quotes from Ahmadinejad. There isn’t a large Ethiopian community at Columbia, but that doesn’t excuse us from examining that nation’s political strife. We should not direct our attention only toward leaders with big names or those who have said outrageous things.
The paper went on to urge that students at the campus to join Ethiopian activists at the planned protest rally:
Activists from outside Columbia have scheduled a protest here for the day of Zenawi’s speech. It would be a shame if no one within the gates raised a voice about this event.

Thanks Elias, I am elated to hear this great news. I hope the organizers of this important protest, have also contacted many other organizations that work for better world, and that fights hunger, poverty and for international refuges to join this important protest as well. We Ethiopians knew Meles along with his well organized misinformation woyane puppets and his well paid DLA Piper PR machine have been misinforming the world, that all the protesters around the world are only disgruntled Amharas and Eritrians, but, from here on, I hope the tribalist Meles’ lies and deceptions and the atrocities he has caused on all Ethiopians gets circulated not only around CU campus, but around the world as well.
Elias, I appreciate you a great deal. You and the likes of you that have the courage and the capability can circulate the whole truth about the 21st century cold-hearted killer Meles real history to all Columbia University students and to every University students around the world. This is long over due–I hope the CU university students are also informed the outrageous amount of money the leader of one of the poorest country, Meles, pays DLA Piper a month to help him spread his lies. Meles has the Ethiopian Tax Payers money at his disposal, but the majority of non-woyane Ethiopians around the world can do a lot to spread the real biography of Meles and the crimes he has been committing since he has been in power.
