  1. I met the so called prof. Epherem right outside the RFK stadium during the events of ESFNA that was organized by hodam and corrupted executive members. I couldn’t believe that I was the only person was talking to him over 15 minutes regarding many issues surrounded by Why he strongly supporting the meles weyanawi regime questions. He was very emotional and was not able to respond my concerns accurately, while he constantly jumping over unnecessary issues which was irrelevant from my points. Our conversation was a little argumentative so that other people would’ve hear it while they were passing by us, but no one didn’t want to say nothing. I don’t think most people who were passing by us are supporters of weyane. I also have spoken to a few individuals after my hot conversation with others, but no one wanted to take the part to confront him. This is our typical failure, if the professor had been caught up with many confrontation, he would’ve stopped supporting the meles regime. Other hodam cadres would’ve taken a lesson if we keep confronting those weyane crime strategy carriers by using every single event. Anyway, I was a little satisfied by my own actions against the professor, and assumed that he faced so much confrontation during his stay at the stadium.

Death to members of weyane, weyane supporters and hodam supporters!!!!

  2. How does ER gets such vedio’s when others didn’t get it. It shows ER has a lot of support from Ethiopians

I am in love with ER Intellegence Unit :) I am sure one day this intellegence unit provides footage of dwarf man – Meles Zenawi standing on chair and having a monkey sex with first lady Azeb Mesfin.

  3. The plan to trade Ethiopian territorial integrity is simply to buy a fake international boundary for would be state of Tigray. As time is running out for this heinous rulers, the so called right of session including independence is the real motive to give a western frontier via Northern Gonder and Wolkait region by making of unattainable dream – land lock state of Tigray in Melese’s land locked Ethiopia.

A pact between two monstrous leaders who will both eventually face indictment for their cruelty against their own subjects, will never be accorded as legitimate or binding. the Ethiopian people and the true descendents of Atse yohannes will never succumb to the second betrayal of this alien regime.

    God Save Ethiopia

  4. The professor, as usual, is hiding behind “enmeremrewalen” as in – we will investigate. He has said the same about the crimes committed by Woyannie Tigraians in Oromia and Ogadien.
My concern is, when will Professor Issac Ephrem confront the real issues in Ethiopia boldly? The professor should undersatnd that we will all run out of time time one day, the sooner the better before we leave this planet forever.

  5. I have been attending the event of Ethiopian day on 4th of July at the RFK Stadium. Unfortunatly, I didn’t come across with Professor Ephrem Issac.

The concern that these young ethiopians have in common shown in the video clip above is absolutly right. But, the way they were appoaching this respected senior and educated citizen of ethiopian was not right at all. It lacks some kind of maturity.

Currently, the major problem that Ethiopia has faced is that her people don’t have tolerance and the habit of listening one another. Aggressivness ,in our common concern, does not help to solve the complicated and serious problems we are facing in the country.

We are now living in an environment where reasoning and logic have more power than any thing else to buy the attention and support of our society. I, therefore, ask all my compatriots to act responssibly and professionally for all the concern they have about our beloved country, Ethiopia.

It is only when we respect one another that we can achieve the objective that we have in common about our motherland,Ethiopia.

    THANK YOU FOR LISTENING.

  6. My message to the editor,Elias.

As a journalist you suppose to be fact finder instead of always seeking a means by which you attack the people and any party you dislike.

The reason i am saying this is that the title that you sometime put down on you web and the facts in the body of your writtings don’t exactly match.
A very simple example is the one you write down above and the clip associated to it don’t sound the same.

I know you hate the existing government of Ethiopia for some reasons that a lot of people may share with you. But, as a journalist we want you to be out of bias and educate your readers as you have the means or the access to collect the ongoing situation in ethiopia and the diaspora.

Your web site will have more readers and even you will receive respect and appreciation only when you address issues that bring the whole society to a common ground.

Elias, I heared you that you have studied political science in the school and some people are assuming that you are using your media(ER) for your political stand and believe instead of communicating the reality of ethiopia.

Please, be educator. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

  7. The solution that solve the problem is in all of your hands
either approach the current rulers at arat-kilo and work to civilize the 80 million or really you want the real and the long task it is fano tesemarea fano tesemara bedure begedelu tigluin endtemeta
I don’t think any one has the courage the ambition or the finance to organize such a long lasting battle. So be it live with uncertainty wait and see and wait and wait
for generations to come and generations to go.
I am almost certain that, this is going to be the norm until such time comes from INSIDE, I mean it wait a change from INSIDE

  8. Elias I appreciate the ER intelligence unit. The unit has probed the professor.
I respect prof.Isaac but he doesn’t have clear stand. He was praising Woyanes for freeing the CUD people.I remember his dialogue with Tamagne Beyene saying that”Ato Meles should be given credit for freeing CUD officials”.Honestly speaking the prof. should have to condemn Meles.I will never rely on prof.Isaac,he will change his mind after talking to Woyannes, like Meles.

  9. I don’t think recording people clandestinely and posting it with out their consent is appropirate.

Obviously the professor’s cought off guard, and it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to assume that he would never allow anyone to use this video for a propaganda purpose.

Elias, I am sure, knows more about US’ law better than I. So I would suggest him not to use this kind of dirty tricks to catch innocent people at their vulnerable time. It might back fire some day!

  10. I watched the commotion and read the comments given herein above. Such serious and sensetive issues should have been discussed thoroughly in a conducive forum. I believe mobbery would lead to undesired cofrontation and emotional state whch may lead to verbal or/and phyiscal fights.

The distinguished professor is one of the most revered Ethiopian elites around. He is unreservedly Ethiopian inside out. He is a “shimaguelay” to be respected according to our Ethiopian culture.

It seems to me that he was mistaken for a government offcial or a political figure. He is neither, as far I know him personally. He successfully pioneered the shimglena/erq for the release of political prisnoners. Hwever, that does not qualify him to be pro-government.

As for the issue of land being given to Sudan, the goverment does not seem to claim it has conclusively done anything new (according to the recent delegation from Amhara Region). As it is, the way I see, no piece of land should be given to any neighbor or colonizer. We should learn from our history with Djbouti, Eritrea proper, Assab port, etc., all of which were illegally or under deadly duress given by our stressed leaders. Look what we are left with, a land locked poor country, densely populated, perpetually fighting for some ocean breeze for survival! I believe, the international community needs to revisit its decisions some day for the sake of regional peace, justice, prosperity and popular coexistence. At any rate, no government should or would give land to Sudan or any other neighbor, especially, a government whose legitimcy its people are still questioning after years of ruling. Such an action would further alienate its party from the people idefintely, I suppose. The present government has done so many good and bad things, as any other government in the past. But, it will not be wise, praise-worthy and opportune time even to consider demarcating the traditional border with Sudan. I admonish the goverment to leave the issue pending in a peaceful manner as did the Emperor. I wish Dr. Ephraem could relate this or other popular positions to the government. May the government focus on its poverty alleviaton and drought relief program as ever before.

We appreciate your good works, Prof.

God bless you and God bless Ethiopia.

  11. what woyanne is doing is not new. what is new is the realization of their plans.

We can prevent the evil schemes of woyannes… they are human beings like us…but they want to portray themselves as monsters… they are not.

We can avert this disaster… i mean we can do it if we just get organised, planned and detemeined.

we should however start now or never….

  12. I have request to the ER editor why don’t you present to your audiance about this man biography in details.

Because most of us we don’t know him before the so called ” Shimgilina” occurrance and also we don’t know what his long term motive is. So may be that will make us very clear to know him well.

I hope you will satisfy my request and I conclud with respect.

  13. Please respect the old man. He is not a person of war and conflict, he is a man of peace. he is genuine Ethiopian in spirit and soul. He wants to make a difference in our country. Some Ethiopian scholars have denigerated him and wrote bad about him, because of jealousy. History and the Ethiopian people will judge him like a Saint. The man is a tenured retired Professor,he makes enough money to live. Do you think he needs $$ at 70+. Because he is a deeply religious person , he wants to destroy hate, intolerance and resentment. In Ethiopia, he cannot walk one yard without people falling on his feet; he again falls down on their feet. He wants to bring democracy by reconcilliation. But people trap and ambush him for their own paper and web sites. Elias, again let me say that you are an intelligent person. You know this person when he was laboring for peace from 1991 to present. But a generation that does not respect its culture denigerates him. There are political parties who do not like mediation. As you know some have criminal members. Others may lose their opposition status if peace comes to our beloved country. Why the opposition does not like him. The answer is simple, we know why they hate him. professor has also some weakneses, he has to talk to the regime to apologize the Ethiopian people for its mistakes and open up the electoral process so that the opposition will compete in money and mass media air time with absolute guarantee of peceaful transition. Elias, do not fail the Professor because we will be doomed to eternal
destruction. Professor even has the idea of bringing the Eritrean Ethiopian people together by love and acceptance. he is the first person who brought the idea of the Millenium. I cannot ask you to trust my words, because I do not know you and you do not know me. The professor does not work for foreign power or Woyane. He struggles to work for peace and to save Ethiopia from further disintegration. For people who raise their tongue against the great person, if you believe in God , He will pay you in His own way.people who write against this pius man are the worst liars and criminals. History is merciless. Tomorrow you will be embarassed by all your lies. Elias please do not allow the Professor to be defamed. Balcha

  14. I think one good issue is raised at no.13 we want to know more about this man!

Explore and show us where and what this guy was at the begining and what is he doing on the cover of elderly.

    Expecting to hear from you.

  15. Please, please let us stop creating more division amongst us, before we start insulting others let us atleast learn what this people had done in the past and what they are capable to do in the future, He once said ” I do not believe in the verb to be but I believe in the verb to do” We have some thing to learn from this man, here is an excerpt of an interview he gave some two years back and judge for yourself.

“ Ethiopia is a sleeping giant. This is a country, that, not only, could be economically successful, feed its people, cloth its people, shelter the people. It is a country that can even become a source of economic help to others elsewhere. So, my great wish is “ May God to bless Ethiopia and help the people wake up, we have a certain amount of energy. We should not waste that on inter-ethnic, inter-religious quibbling, but use it to come together and respect each other. I said Ethiopia is a sleeping giant because it has tremendous agricultural potentials, especially. We have mineral potential’s too. Oil is very important because people need it to feed their car. But human beings don’t eat oil. They eat food. So, we can produce and sell fruits and feed all Europe in the wintertime. European cars need oil. But European people need food. So, we can become the breadbasket.

Egypt becomes wealthy from historical, archaeological sites, tourism, Kenya is very rich from animal, nature tourism. We have both. We have historical sites. We have flora and fauna. We would be Egypt and Kenya put together. So my hope for Ethiopia is to become a very prosperous land where its people live in peace together.

Let me also add one foot note here. One of the resources of Ethiopia is actually its people. When I say its people, I am not talking about those of us who have been spoilt. We who are educated abroad are spoiled. We have our heads above. But ordinary Ethiopian people are very humble. They respect each other. They listen to each other. Their ears are bigger than their mouths. Those of us who studied, abroad, our mouths are bigger than our ears. The Ethiopian people are very patient, very polite, very respectful and these are important human characteristics. And, therefore if we can combine, these human qualities with technological development, learning the best from the West, retaining the best from our culture, then we can become a very important nation. We already are the capital of Africa . But that is not enough. But we have to become what the African people want. They want Ethiopia to become a symbol of black strength and freedom. Black Americans wish like that too. My great wish for Ethiopia is great prosperity, a great life for our people, respectful co-existence and leadership in showing other Africans and even the rest of the world that we can become an example.”

  16. I respect the professor for what he did to resolve political difference and other issues by mediation. He initiate with ambition whom other famous Musicians, Elderly, Scholars etc. failed to do so. The question is does woyane understand the concept? Most of the official are uneducated or fanatic on their stand. They don’t care about the people’s interest. They are concerned about their position.

One word to say about the professor is how come he trust woyane? I believe that no one needs to be educated to know what woyane is doing to the countries integrity and other big policy fallacies.

We need to fight to the motherland.

  17. shame on you ER. The poor guy didn’t do anything and its people like you that pushes useful people away on to the opposite camp. leave the poor guy alone.

  18. I thinnk this prof needs to wake up. I think he wants us to ignor the reality and just be the ok ppl for the Adwa Mafia. For 17 years the ppl have been accepting every evil that have been done to them. And these profs want us to keep accepting more suffering, punishment and even the death of Ethiopia.

My big question is why are they in the west at this time, just after the sudan land give??????

    God Save Ethiopia

  19. “the RFK stadium during the events of ESFNA that was organized by hodam and corrupted executive members”
If you think they are HODAM and CORRUPTED why did you attend the event and support them. I think, everyone who attended this even it HODAM. Please don’t support them by attending their event….peace
