Ato Gebremedhin (formerly Aba Paulos, also commonly knows as Aba Diabilos), who claims to be the patriarch of Ethiopia, has just erected a massive statue for himself in the center of Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa. Aba Diabilos builds statue for himself — like Saddam Hussein — while ancient Ethiopian monasteries and churches are currently falling apart due to lack of funds. This is indeed one of the saddest moments in the history of Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
The following is a commentary regarding the statue and other developments in the Church.
መንፈስ ቅዱስን ካሳዘኑ፥ ቅድስናን ከጣሉ ተሳዳቢዎች ጋር መወያየት አይጠቅምም
በብፁዕ ወቅዱስ አቡነ መርቆሪዮስ ፓትርያርክ ርዕሰ ሊቃነ ጳጳሳት ዘኢትዮጵያ ለሚመራው በሰደት ላይ ለሚገኘው ሕጋዊው የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ ቤተክርስቲያን (ኢት.ኦር.ተዋ.ቤተክርስቲያን) ቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ ምንም እንኳ ቀኖናና ህገ ቤተክርስቲያን በመጣሱና ቤተክርስቲያኗ በአምባገነናዊ የመንፈስ ድቀት በተጎናጸፉ ዘረኛ ቤተክርስቲያኗ መሪ ቤተክርስቲያኗ በካህናቷ በምዕመናኗ ላይ እየተሰራ ያለውን ግፍ አስቀድማችሁ ያወገዛችሁ ብትሆኑም ምናልባት ቀኖና ጣሾች በንስሃ ተመልሰው ልብ ገዝተው ቤተክርስቲያኗ ወደቀደመችበት የአንድነትና የፍቅር መንፈስ ተመልሳ ህገ ቤተክርስቲያን ሊጠበቅና የቀደመ ቦታዋን ትይዛለች በሚል ቅን የእውነት እምነት “ወንድሞች በህብረት ቢቀመጡ እነሆ መልካም ነው፣ እነሆም ያማረ ነው ከራስ እስከ ጢም እንደሚፈስ እስከ አሮን ቂም በልብሱ መደረቢያ እንደሚወርድ ሽቱ ነው። በጽዮን ተራሮች እንደሚወርድ እንደ አርምኒኤም ጠል ነው። በዚያ እግዚያብሔር በረከቱን ሕይወትንም እስከ ዘላለም አዟልና” መዝሙር 132 በሚለው መሪ የእግዚያብሔር ቃል በህብረት በፍቅር ከወንድሞች ጋር ተቀምጦ ለመወያየት ያለ ምንም ቅድመ ሁኔታ ስለ ቤተክርስቲያን አንደነት ስትሉ ሰሞኑን ከጁላይ 24, 2010 ወዘተ… ጀመሮ ባሉት ቀናት ለውይይት ለመቀመጥ ተዘጋጅታችኋል።
አዎ እርቅ ያስፈልጋል የናፈቀንና የራቀብን ነገር ነው። ሆኖም ሰሞኑን አምባገነኑ በክህደት እባጭ በሞት አፋፍ የሚገኙት የቤተክርስቲያኗ የውድቀትና የድቀት ምልክት አባ ጳውሎስ ጭራሽ የምን ቀኖና ቤተክርስቲያን፥ የፈለኩትን ከማድረግ የሚያስቆመኝ የለም በሚል የቤተክርስቲያኒቷ ዋይታ እንዲጨምር፥ መሸከም እስኪያቅታት፥ እስከሚጨንቃት፥ ወደማትወጣበት አዘቅት በመጣል ህገ ቤተክርስቲያኗን በመጣል የክርስቶስ በሆነችው ቤተክርስቲያናችን ላይ ቀልድ፣ ኢ-ኦርቶዶክሳዊ ትምህርት ንስጥሮሱ አባ ጳሎስ ምንም እንኳ በስራቸው ከሞቱ የቆዩ ቢሆንም “ከሞትኩ ቆይቻለሁ፥ እናንተ ግን አይገባችሁም፣ ለኔ ከመስገድ በቀር” በሚል የንስጥሮሱ አባ ጳውሎስ መታሰቢያ ጣኦት ሐምሌ 4 ቀን 2002 ዓ.ም. በቦሌ አቆሙ። አይ ድፍረት!!!
አባ ንስጥሮስ ጳውሎስ ቀደም ብሎ ከሎስ አንጀለስ ጀምሮ የተወገዙ ቢሆንም ህይወታቸው በጨለማ ተጋርዶ በዚህ ቀደሙ ሳይፀፀቱበት ዛሬም ቀኖና ቤተክርስቲያንን በመጣስ በቤተክርስቲያን ትምህርት፣ ታሪክና ትውፊት የሌለ “በላይ በሰማይ፥ በታችም በምድር ካለው፥ ከምድርም በታች በውሃ ካለው ነገር የማናቸውንም ምሳሌ የተቀረፀውን ምስል ለአንተ አታድርግ ዘፀአት 20፡ 4-5” የሚለውን በመተላለፍ፣ የኦርየንታል አብያተክርስቲያናትን ትውፊት በድፍረት በመጣስ አስደንጋጭ ክህደት ስለሆነና የቤተክርስቲኡኗን መፅሃፍት የእውነት ምስክርነት የሚፃረር በመሆኑ፣ ትንሳዔ ሙታንን የሚያስረሳ ነውረና ስራ በመስራት ላይ ካሉት ከጣኦቱ ከንስጥሮሱ አባ ጳውሎስ ጋር በግል የምታደርጉትን “የእርቅ” ውይይት ከቤተክርስቲያኗ የወደፊት ትክክለኛ ጉዞ አንፃር በመመርመር ከንስጥሮሱ አባ ጵውሎስ የግል ግጥር ሰራተኞች ጋር የምታደርጉትን ውይይት በመሰረዝና በመገናናኛ ብዙሃን በማሳወቅ አዲስ አበባ የሚገኘው ቅዱስ ሲኖዲስ ልብ ገዝቶ ሁሉንም የሚወክሉ አምኖበት ወስኖ በመለያየት ቁንጮነትና መሰሪነት በስድብና ከክፉ ባሕርያቸው አድራጎታቸው ከማይጠረጠሩት ተወካይ ብፁአን አባቶች ጋር ታደርጉት ዘንድ እናሳስባለን። አዲስ አበባ የሚገኘው ቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ ሳይመክርበት ከሚመጡት አራት ሰዎች ውስጥ፤
1. አባ ገሪማ የአባ ንስጥሮስ ጳውሎስ እምባ ጠባቂ፥ የመለያየቱ ዋና መሪና ተዋናይ፥ ዛሬም የእርቁ ተቃዋሚ በፓትሪያርክ ላይ ፓትሪያርክ መሾሙን ቀኖና ቤተክርስቲያን መጣሱን የሚደግፉ የጥቅም ሰው ስለመሆናቸው ከዚህ በፊት ለ ቪ.ኦ.ኤ. የሰጡት ቃለ ምልልስ ስላለን በጊዜው በአየር ላይ እናውለዋለን።
2. ሌላው የግል ቅጥረኛ፥ ሰይፈ ይሁዳ ብንለው ይቀላል፥ መቀራረብ እንዳይኖር ብፁዓን አባቶች ላይ ጸያፍ ዘለፋና ቤተክርስቲያንን በማዋረድ በየሬዲዮ የተሳደባቸው መረጃዎች በእጃችን ላይ ይገኛሉ።
3. ንቡረዕድ ኤሊያስ የአባ ንስጥሮስ ጳውሎስ እንባ ጠባቂ ተላላኪ።
4. ብጹዕ አቡነ አትናቲዮስ እውነተኛ አባት በመሆናቸው ለእርሳቸው ያለንን ፍቅርና የመንፈስ ልጅነት ዛሬም በፅናት እንገልፃለንና ልክ ብጹዕ አቡነ አትናቲዮስን የመሳሰሉ ብጹአን አባቶች ጋር አዲስ አበባ የሚገኘው ቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ መክሮበት ብታደርጉ ይሻላልና (የአዲስ አበባው ቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ መጀመሪያ ከራሱ ጋር መታረቅ ይኖርበታል)።
አሁን ለውይይት ከተላኩት ሶስቱ መንፈስ ቅዱስን ካሳዘኑ ቅድስናን የጣሉ ተሳዳቢዎች ለቤተክርስቲያኗ ተለያይታ እንድትኖር መዘውር ከሚዘውሩት ጋር ውይይት ማድረግ የማይጠቅምና በአባ ንስጥሮስ ጳውሎስ ጭምብል የተላኩ “ብለን ነበር፣ እምቢ አሉ” የሚለውን የተለመደ ቅጥፈት ከማለት ያለፈ ለቀኖናና ህገ ቤተክርስቲያን መጠበቅ የሚፈይደው አንዳችም ጉዳይ ስለሌለ ለሌላ ጊዜ ብታስተላልፉት የምዕመንነት ምክራችንን እንለግሳለን።
“ዕርቁ፥ ጠቡ በአባ እከሌና በአባ እከሌ መካከል የተደረገ እጅ የማጨባበጥ ተግባር ሳይሆን ቀኖና ህገ ቤተክርስቲያንን የመጣስና የማቃለል፥ መንፈስ ቅዱስን የማሳዘን ተግባር ነውና የተፈፀመው” ግልፅ ሊሆንና ዛሬ ላለንበት የኢት.ኦር.ተዋ.ቤተክርስቲያን ጉስቁልናና ውርደት ተጠያቂነት ነውና በሁሉም ዘንድ ተወዳችነትና ተፈላጊነት ያላቸው የአዲስ አበባው ቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ አምኖበት ብፅዓን አባቶች ተወክለው ሲመጡ እንደሚደረግ ሆኖ የእርቁ በር ክፍት ቢሆን የተሻለ ነው።
ነፍሳቸውን ይማርልንና አለቃ አያሌው ታምሩ በአንድ ወቅት “ግለሰቡ አባ ንስጥሮ ጳውሎስ ቀኖና ቤተክርስቲያንን የሚፃረሩ የካቶሊክ እምነት አራማጅ ናቸው” በማለት አውግዘዋቸው በመቃብሬም እንዳይገኙ ብለው ነበር። እነሆ በገሃድ ታየ። ጣኦቱ ቤል ንስጥሮ ጳውሎስ ቦሌ ላይ ቆመ። ታዲያ ተዋህዶ ምን ትጠብቃለች? አለን የምትሉትስ የአዲስ አበባ ቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ አባላትስ ምን ትላላችሁ? ወይ ፍርሃት! ወይ አሳምኑን፥ ወይ እናሳምናሁ። አሁን የቦሩ ሜዳን ታሪክ መድገም እንሻለን። መቼም ከጣኦት ጋር ህብረት እንደማይኖራችሁ እርግጠኛ ከመሆን ጋር፡፡ ቸር ይግጠመን።

አለቃ አያሌው ታምሩ በድረ ገፃቸው ያሰፈሩትን እጅግ ጠቃሚ ፅሁፍ ከዚህ ጋር አያይዤ አቅርቤዋለሁ።
ቃለ ውግዘት።
«ዛሬ ካለው የቤተ ክርስቲያን አመራር ጋራ ወደ ትግል ሰልፍ እንድገባ ያደረገኝ የኔ ፈቃድ፥ ዐቅምም አይደለም። በ፲፱፻፹፭ ዓመተ ምሕረት ሐምሌ ፭ ቀን ኦፕራሲዮን ሆኜ በሰመመን ውስጥ በነበርኩበት ጊዜ በሥርዓተ ሙታን ወደ አምላኬ ፊት ቀርቤ የተሰጠኝ ትእዛዝ ነው። በዚያች ሰዓት፤ ከቅዱስ ማርቆስ እስከ ሳድሳዊ ቄርሎስ የነበሩ የእስክንድርያ ፓትርያርኮችና ሊቃነ ጳጳሳት፤ ከአትናቴዎስ፥ ከሰላማ እስከ ብፁዕ ወቅዱስ አቡነ ቴዎፍሎስ የነበሩ የኢትዮጵያ ሊቃነ ጳጳሳትና ፓትርያርኮች የእሳት ነበልባል በከበበው፥ የእሳት ልሳን ያለው መጋረጃ በተንጣለለበት በዚያ አዳራሽ፥ በዚያ የግርማ ዙፋን ግራና ቀኝ ተሰልፈው ቁመው ነበር። በኤፌሶን ጉባኤ ንስጥሮስን ያወገዘው የእስክንድርያ ሊቀ ጳጳሳት ታላቁ ሊቅ ቅዱስ ቄርሎስ በመንበሩ ፊት ለፊት ቆሟል። ቀድሞ የተወገዘው ንስጥሮስ የማዕረግ ልብሱን ተገፎ በስተጀርባው ቆሟል። አባ ጳውሎስ በማዕረጋቸው እንዳሉ ተከስሰው ከንስጥሮስ ጎን ቁመዋል። በዐጸደ ነፍስ የሚገኙት የእስክንድርያና የኢትዮጵያ ቤተ ክርስቲያን አበው፤ «አባ ጳውሎስ ሺ ስድስት መቶ ዓመት የኖረ ውግዘት ጥሰው፥ በሥጋው በደሙ የማሉትን መሓላ አፍርሰው የኢትዮጵያን ቤተ ክርስቲያን የሮም ቅኝ ግዛት ስላደረጉ፤ ፍርድ ይሰጥልን፤» ሲሉ ለኀያሉ አምላክ አቤቱታ አቀረቡ። ከዙፋኑ የመጣው መልስ ግን፤ «እስከ ዕለተ ምጽአት ፍርድ የቤተ ክርስቲያን ነው፤» የሚል ነበረ። ይህ ሁሉ በሚከናወንበት ጊዜ የማላውቀው ኀይል ከዚህ ዓለም ነጥቆ ከቅዱስ ቄርሎስ ጎን አሰልፎኝ ከቆየ በኋላ ከዙፋኑ የመጣው ድምፅ፤ «አንተ ያየኸውን፥ የሰማኸውን ለቤተ ክርስቲያን፥ ለምእመናን ንገር፤» ሲል አዝዞ ወደ ነበርኩበት መለሰኝ። ይህ ትእዛዝ ነው እዚህ ሰልፍ ውስጥ ያስገባኝ። ኢትዮጵያዊ፥ ኦርቶዶክሳዊ የሆነ ሁሉም ስለ ቤተ ክርስቲያኑ አጥብቆ መታገል አለበት።» አለቃ አያሌው ታምሩ።
በኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን አመራር ላይ ከቅርብ ዓመታት ወዲህ በተደጋጋሚ የተከሰቱትን የሃይማኖት ትምህርትና የሥርዓት መበላሸት በማስመልከት የቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ የሊቃውንት ጉባኤ ሰብሳቢ የነበሩት አለቃ አያሌው ታምሩ ችግሩ ሥር ሳይሰድ ገና ከጅምሩ እንዲታረም ማሳሰቢያና ተማጽኖ ለቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ ቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ ተደጋጋሚ ተማጽኖ አቅርበው ነበር። ነገር ግን ጥያቄአቸው በቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ ዘንድ በቸልታ በመታየቱ ምክንያት፤ አለቃ አያሌው ታምሩ ባላቸው ከፍተኛ ሥልጣንና ኀላፊነት፤ በቤተ ክርስቲያን ላይ ዐመጽ የሚፈጽሙትን ፓትርያርኩንና ተከታዮቻቸውን ለማውገዝ ተገደዋል። ቃለ ግዝታቸው በመጀመሪያ የወጣው ሰኔ ፳፯ ቀን ፲፱፻፹፰ ዓመተ ምሕረት በ«መብሩክ» ጋዜጣ ላይ ነበር። ይኽም እንደሚከተለው ይነበባል።
« መላው የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ምእመናን ከፓትርያርኩና ተከታዮቻቸው ቃልና እጅ ቡራኬ እንዳይቀበል አገር አቀፍ ጥሪ ቀረበ። የወጣውን ሕግ የተቀበሉ፥ ከሥራ ላይ ያዋሉ እንደ አርዮስ እሱራን ውጉዛን ይሁኑ። አለቃ አያሌው ታምሩ ከእንግዲህ የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ተከታይ የሆነ ምእመን በብፁዕ ወቅዱስ አቡነ ጳውሎስ ቃልና እጅ፥ በሲኖዶሱ ዋና ጸሐፊ በአቡነ ገሪማና በተባባሪዎቻቸው ቃልና እጅ ቡራኬ እንዳይቀበል በአብ፥ በወልድ፥ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ሥልጣን፥ በጴጥሮስ፥ በጳውሎስ፥ በማርቆስ፥ በቄርሎስ፥ በባስልዮስ፥ በቴዎፍሎስ፥ በተክለ ሃይማኖት ዘደብረ ሊባኖስ ቃልና በራሳቸው ማውገዛቸውን አስታወቁ። አለቃ አያሌው ታምሩ ይህን ያስታወቁት የግንቦቱ ሲኖዶሳዊ ጉባኤ አዲስ ያወጣው ሕገ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ላይ ያላቸውን አስተያየት እንዲሰጡንና ሐምሌ ፭ ወይም ፮ ቀን በሚከበረው የፓትርያርኩ በዓለ ሢመት ላይ የእሳቸው አመለካከት ምን ሊሆን እንደሚችል ለመገምገም ቃለ መጠይቅ ባደረግንላቸው ወቅት ነው። ይህንን የአለቃ አያሌውን ሙሉ ቃልና መልእክት የሚከተለው ነው።
«ከሁሉ አስቀድሞ እግዚአብሔር ሥራችንን ይባርክልን እላለሁ። በመቀጠልም ስሜቴን እንኳ መቆጣጠር እስከሚያቅተኝ ድረስ እየተጨነቅሁ በቃለ ጉባኤ ተባዝቶ በጽሕፈት ቤቱ በኩል ለአስፈላጊው እንዲደርስ በተደረገውና ከሚያዝያ ፳፪ እስከ ግንቦት ፮ ቀን ፲፱፻፹፰ ዓ ም በሥራ ላይ የነበረው የጳጳሳትና የሊቃነ ጳጳሳት ስብሰባ ሲኖዶስ ጉባኤ ቤተ ክርስቲያን «ሕገ ቤተ ክርስቲያን» ብሎ ስላስተላለፈው ሕግ ያለኝን ሐሳብና ድምፅ ለመላ የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ቤተ ክርስቲያን አባሎች በኢትዮጵያና በመላው ዓለም ለሚኖሩ ወንድሞቻችንና እኅቶቻችን ሁሉ በእግዚአብሔር ስም አስተላልፋለሁ። በእግዚአብሔር ስም አሰማለሁ።
፩ኛ፤ ክርስቶስ በደሙ የመሠረታት ቤተ ክርስቲያን የምትመራው ወይም አመራር የምትቀበል ከእሱ ከራሱ ከመንፈስ ቅዱስ እንጂ ከሰው አይደለም። ይህንንም ራሱ ባለቤቱ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ፤ «እስከ ዓለም ፍጻሜ እኔ ከእናንተ ጋር ነኝ፤» ያለውን ቃሉን ሲያስተላልፍ ለደቀ መዛሙርቱ የሰጠው ትእዛዝ፤ «ሂዱ አስተምሩ፤ በአብ በወልድ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ስም አስተምሩ፤» የሚል ነው። ይህንንም መልእክት በሚፈጽሙበት ጊዜ ግን የሚመራቸው ማን እንደ ሆነ ሲያስረዳ፤ «መንፈስ ቅዱስ ይመጣል፤ ወደ እውነት ሁሉ ይመራችሁአል፤» ብሎአቸዋል። (ማቴ፤ ም ፲፰፥ ቍ ፲፱ – ፳። ዮሐ፤ ም ፲፮፥ ቍ ፲፫።) አመራሩም ከሙሴ፥ ከኢያሱ የተለየ በውሥጣቸው ዐድሮ የሚመራቸው መሆኑን፥ ዓለም የማያውቀው እነሱ የሚያውቁት የእውነት መንፈስ መሆኑን በዮሐንስ ወንጌል ምዕራፍ ፲፭ ቍጥር ፲፭ – ፲፰ በተጻፈ ቃሉ ገልጾ ልኮአቸዋል። እንግዲህ እግዚአብሔር በደሙ የዋጃትን ቤተ ክርስቲያን እንዲጠብቁ ጳጳሳትን የሚሾም፥ ጉባኤያቸውን የሚመራም እሱ ራሱ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ነው። በኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን የተዋሕዶ ሃይማኖት ትምህርት ይህ ነው። ሰው ጉባኤ ቤተ ክርስቲያንን አይመራም። ግን በኋላ ዘመን ራሱን እንደ እግዚአብሔር የሚቈጥር፥ እንደ እሱ ነኝ ብሎ መሥራት የሚያምረው በቤተ እግዚአብሔር የሚኖር ትዕቢተኛ እንደሚመጣ ቅዱስ ጳውሎስ ተናግሮአል። (፪ ተሰ፤ ም ፪፥ ቍ ፬።) ይህ ካልሆነ በስተቀር በቤተ እግዚአብሔር አመራር ሰጪ እኔ ነኝ ብሎ የሚናገር ወይም እሱ ነው ተብሎ የሚነገርለት ማንም የለም። ሐዋርያት ራሳቸውም በመንፈስ ቅዱስ እንደ ተጠሩ በወንጌል ስብከት እንደ ተላኩ፥ የኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ባሮች፥ አገልጋዮች፥ መልእክተኞች እንደ ሆኑ ተናገሩ እንጂ፤ እንዲሁም ቤተ ክርስቲያን የእግዚአብሔር ማኅበር እንደ ሆነች አስተማሩ እንጂ እነሱ ጌቶች፥ መሪዎች፥ አመራር ሰጪዎች እንደ ሆኑ፥ ቤተ ክርስቲያንም የእነሱ ተጠሪ እንደ ሆነች አልተናገሩም፤ አልጻፉም። የተፈጸመው አገልግሎት በጠቅላላ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ መሪነት እንደ ተፈጸመ፥ እንደሚፈጸም፤ የተደረገ በደል ቢኖር ደግሞ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ላይ እንደ ተፈጸመ ጻፉ፤ ተናገሩ። ሐናንያ የተባለው ሰው የመጀመሪያዪቱን ቤተ ክርስቲያን አቋምና እርምጃ በተጠራጠረና በተፈታተነ ጊዜ ቅዱስ ጴጥሮስ፤ «መንፈስ ቅዱስን ታሳብለው ዘንድ እንዲህ በልብህ ሰይጣን ሞላን? ወይስ እንዴት ሞላ፤» ብሎ ገሠጸው እንጂ የእኔን ቃል፥ የእኔን መሪነት ተላለፍክ ብሎ አልገሠጸውም። እንዲሁም፤ «ሲጾሙና ሲጸልዩ ሳዖልንና በርናባስን እኔ ለመረጥኩላቸው ሥራ ለዩልኝ ብሎ መንፈስ ቅዱስ አዘዛቸው፤» ይላል እንጂ ሰው ለመረጠላቸው ሥራ አይልም። እንግዲህ፤ «ሰማይና ምድር የሚያልፉ ቢሆንም እንኳ ቃሌ አያልፍም፤» ያለ አምላክ የመሠረተላት፥ የሠራላት ሕግ ምን ጊዜም የማያልፍ መሆኑ ቀጥተኛ እውነት ነው። በዚህ መሠረት የኢትዮጵያ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ሲኖዶስ የሚመራ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ መሆኑን፥ ቅዱስ ያሰኘውን ቅድስናውን ያገኘው፥ የሚያገኘው ከመንፈስ ቅዱስ ብቻ መሆኑን ታምናለች። ሥራዋንም በዚሁ እምነት ስታከናውን ኖራለች፤ ታከናውናለችም። ከፓትርያርኩ ጀምሮ ሊቃነ ጳጳሳት፥ ጳጳሳት፥ ኤጲስ ቆጶሳት ሁሉ፤ «ናነብር እደዊነ ዲበ ዝንቱ ኅሩይ ገብር ዘእግዚአብሔር፤» «በተመረጠ በዚህ የእግዚአብሔር አገልጋይ ላይ እጃችንን እንጭናለን፤» በሚል አነጋገር ከሦስት ቍጥር ባላነሱ ኤጲስ ቆጶሳት ድምፅና ተግባር ቤተ ክርስቲያን የምትሾማቸው ሁሉ ተጠሪነታቸው የቤተ ክርስቲያን ነው እንጂ የአንድ ሰው አይደለም። ሁሉም ይህን ያውቃሉ ብዬ ተስፋ አደርጋለሁ። ሐዋርያውም፤ «ክርስቶስ በደሙ የዋጃትን ቤተ ክርስቲያን እንድትጠብቁ መንፈስ ቅዱስ ጳጳሳት አድርጎ የሾማችሁ እናንት ለመንጋውና ለራሳችሁ ተጠንቀቁ፤» ወይም፤ «የተሾማችሁባቸውን መንጋዎችን ሁሉና ራቻችሁን ጠብቁ፤» ብሎ የተናገረ ስለዚህ ነው። (የሐ፤ ሥራ ም ፳፥ ቍ ፳፰።)
፪ኛ፤ ይህ ከዚህ በላይ የጠቀስኩት ቋሚ መመሪያ ሲሆን ልዩ ልዩ መናፍቃን በቤተ ክርስቲያን ውሥጥ በተነሡበት ጊዜ ሁሉ ጉባኤ ጳጳሳት በመንፈስ ቅዱስ መሪነት እየተሰበሰበ ቤተ ክርስቲያንን ከስሕተት፥ ከኑፋቄ ሲጠብቁ ኖረዋል። በኋላ ግን ከቤተ ክርስቲያን ክብር እየሸሹ፥ ወደ ዓለማዊ ክብር እየተጠጉ፥ የእግዚአብሔርን ኀይልና ሥልጣን መከታ አድርገው መሥራት ሲገባቸው በመንግሥታዊ የፖለቲካ ኀይልና ሥልጣን መጠቀም የፈለጉ መለካውያን ጳጳሳትና ሊቃነ ጳጳሳት በቤተ ክርስቲያን ላይ መከፋፈልን ስለ ፈጠሩ በምድር ላይ ዳግማዊ ክርስቶስ የሚባል መሪ አበጁ። የኢትዮጵያ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ግን በዚህ የፈተና ጊዜ በታላላቆችና በአስተዋይ ሊቃውንቶቿ አስተዋይነት፥ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ መሪነት ጸንታ ኖረች። ለሰው አልተንበረከከችም። ይህም በኢትዮጵያ አስተዳደር መንግሥት የለውጥ ጊዜ እስከ መጣበት እስከ ፲፱፻፷፮ ዓመተ ምሕረት ድረስ ጸንቶ ኖሯል። ከዚያ ወዲህ ግን የሥጋዊው ቍስል ወደ መንፈሳዊው ተጋብቶ ይመስላል ኢትዮጵያ በቍስል ላይ ቍስል ተጨምሮባት በሥጋዊ አስተዳደር ኮሚዩኒዝም ያመጣባት በሽታ መንፈሳዊ አቋሟንም ጎድቶታል። በዚህም ምክንያት በቤተ ክርስቲያን ከደረሱት ዋና ዋና ችግሮች፤
ሀ፤ የሃይማኖት ሕፀፅና የሥርዓት መበላሸት፤
ለ፤ በቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ ውሥጥ ውሥጥ አደግ የሆኑ መናፍቃን መፈልፈልና የኑፋቄ መጻሕፍትን ማብዛት፤
ሐ፤ ፓትርያርኮቿ ወደ ራስ ትምክሕት፥ ወደ እብሪትና ወደ ትዕቢት በመተላለፋቸው ሲኖዶሱን የግል ግዛታቸው ማድረጋቸው፥ በገዛ ሥልጣናቸው ሲኖዶስ እያፈረሱ ሲኖዶስ መሠየማቸው፥ በመንግሥት የሥልጣን ድጋፍ ወደ ማዕረግ መውጣታቸው ዋና ዋናዎቹ ሲሆኑ፤ በዐምስተኛው ፓትርያርክ በብፁዕ ወቅዱስ አቡነ ጳውሎስ ዘመን የታየው ደግሞ በውጭ ያዩት ዳግማዊ ክርስቶስ ተብሎ መሰየምና በፓትርያርክነት ቢመረጡ በአምላክ ፈንታ ሆኖ መንፈስ ቅዱስን መጋፋት፥ ዳኝነቱን መርገጥ ሆኗል። ይህም በቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ ላይ የማይጠገን ስብራት፥ የማይድን ቍስል ሆኖባታል።
፫ኛ፤ እኔ በእነዚህ ፳፪ ና ፳፫ ዓመታት አቤቱታዬን ሳሰማ ኖሬአለሁ። ዕድል ሆነና ዛሬም እጮሃለሁ። ድምፄ ግን በውሃ ውሥጥ እንደሚናገር ሰው ተሰሚነት አላገኘም። ግን በእግዚአብሔር ላይ አሁንም ተስፋ አልቆርጥም። እንደገና እጮሃለሁ፤ እንደገና አቤት እላለሁ። የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ምእመናን ፍርሃታቸውን ከልባቸው አውጥተው ጥለው ለቤተ ክርስቲያናቸው፥ ለሀገራቸው፥ ለሃይማኖታቸው፥ ለክብራቸው መቆም እስከ ቻሉ ድረስ አቤቱታዬን አሰማለሁ።
ከዚህ በላይ የዘረዘርኩት እንደ መቅድም ያህል ሲሆን ፍሬ ነገሩ የሚከተለው ነው። እንደሚታወቀው ዘንድሮ በ፲፱፻፹፰ የተደረጉት የቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ ጠቅላላ ስብሰባና የሊቃነ ጳጳሳት ስብሰባ አንደኛ በጥቅምት፥ ሁለተኛ በሚያዝያና በግንቦት መገናኛ ከሚያዝያ ፳፪ እስከ ግንቦት ፮ የተደረጉ ሲሆኑ ሁለቱም ጊዜዎች ሸር የተሞላባቸው ነበሩ። ይህንንም እንደሚከተለው እገልጻለሁ።
ሀ፤ በቤተ ክርስቲያን የደረሱት ልዩ ልዩ ችግሮች ሁሉ በሲኖዶስ ተመክሮባቸው እንዲወገዱና እርምጃቸውም እንዲገታ በ፲፱፻፹፯ ጥቅምትና ኅዳር ወር ለሲኖዶሱ ማመልከቻ ስጽፍ መልእክቴ በጌታዬ በአምላኬ ትእዛዝ የተደረገ መሆኑን ገለጨ በአፈጻጸሙ ቸልተኛነት እንዳይታይበት ሲኖዶሱን በሾመ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ዳኝነት ተማጽኜ አቤቱታዬ የእኔ ብቻ ሳይሆን በዐጸደ ሥጋና በዐጸደ ነፍስ ያሉ የኦርቶዶክሳውያን አበውና ምእመናን አቤቱታ መሆኑን ገልጬ ነበር ያቀረብኩት። ነገር ግን የሲኖዶሱ ዋና ጸሓፊ አባ ገሪማና ፓትሪያርኩ ሐሳባቸው እስከ አሁን በቤተ ክርስቲያን የኖረውን የመንፈስ ቅዱስን መሪነት ሽረው የራሳቸውን ጣዖታዊ መሪነት ለመተካት ኖሮ በጥቅምት ወር ፲፱፻፹፰ ዓመተ ምሕረት በተደረገው አጠቃላይ ጉባኤ ላይ ያቀረብኩትን አቤቱታ ጭምር ሳይቀበሉ ከመቅረታቸውም በላይ የመንፈስ ቅዱስን ዳኝነት፥ የሲኖዶሱን ሥልጣን ለግል አድመኞቻቸው ኮሚቴ አሳልፈው በመስጠትና በሱ ውሳኔ ተደግፈው የኑፋቄ መጽሐፍ ማውጣታቸውና መበተናቸው አንሶ ኦርቶዶክሳዊውን የሊቃውንት ጉባኤ አፍርሰዋል።
ለ፤ ይህ በዚህ እንዳለ ሲኖዶሱ ተሰብስቦ ጉዳዩን እንዲያይ በግል ማመልከቻ፤ በነጻ ፕሬሱ በኩልም ተቃውሞዬን በማሰማት ላይ እያለሁ ሚያዚያ ፲፰ ቀን ፲፱፻፹፰ ዓመተ ምሕረት የቅሬታ አስወጋጅና የሰላም ኮሚቴ በሚሉት የግል ኮሚቴያቸው ድጋፍ እኔን ካባረሩ በኋላ ከሚያዚያ ፳፪ እስከ ግንቦት ፮ ባደረጉት በአፈና የሲኖዶስ ስብሰባ ሕግ አስወጥተው በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ፈንታ ራሳቸው ፓትሪያርኩ ሲኖዶሱ ወንጌልን ለሚሰብክበት፥ ቀኖና ቤተ ክርስቲያን ለሚያስተምርበት ጉዞ አመራር ሰጪ (ጣዖት) ወደ መሆን አድገዋል። በቤተ ክርስቲያን ስም ተሰይመው እግዚአብሔርንና ቤተ ክርስቲያንን ሊያገለግሉ የተሾሙ ኤጲስ ቆጶሳት፥ ጳጳሳትና ሊቃነ ጳጳሳት የሲኖዶሱ ዋና ጸሓፊ ሳይቀር ለቤተ ክርስቲያን ተጠሪ መሆናቸው ቀርቶ ለፓትሪያርኩ ተጠሪዎች እንዲሆኑ ሲያደርጉ በዚያ ሚያዚያ ፴ ቀን ተፈርሞ ጸድቋል በተባለውና በጽሕፈት ቤቱ አማካኝነት ለሚመለከተው ሁሉ እንዲተላለፍ የቃለ ጉባኤ ትእዛዝ በተሰጠበት ሕግ፤ ቤተ ክርስቲያን እስከ አሁን ስትሠራባቸው የኖሩት ሕጎችና ደንቦች ሁሉ በዚህ ሕግ ተሻሽለው ከስፍራቸው ሲወገዱ፥ አባ ጳውሎስ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ፈንታ የቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱን የአመራር ሰጪነት ቦታ ሲይዙ በቤተ ክርስቲያን ላይ የአምልኮ ጣዖት ዐዋጅ ታውጆባታል። ፓትሪያርኩ በሾማቸው በእግዚአብሔርና በቤተ ክርስቲያን ላይ በፈጸሙት ተግባር ታላቅ በደል ፈጽመዋል። ከሳቸው ጋር ቃላቸውን ለማጽደቅ፥ ምኞታቸውን ለሟሟላት በሕጉ ላይ ፈርመዋል ተብሎ ስማቸው የተመዘገበላቸው ፴፬ቱ ጳጳሳትና ሊቃነ ጳጳሳትም እንደ ተባለው አድርገውት ከሆነ ለተፈጸመው በደል ተባባሪዎች ናቸው። ይህም እጅግ የሚያሳዝን ነው። የሚገርመው ደግሞ በዚሁ ሕግ በአንቀጽ ፲፬፤ «ፓትሪያርኩ የተዋሕዶ ሃይማኖትን የሚያፋልስ፥ ሕግጋተ ቤተ ክርስቲያንን የማይጠብቅ፥ ማዕረጉን የሚያጎድፍ ሆኖ መገኘቱ በተጨባጭ ማስረጃ ሲረጋገጥ በምልአተ ጉባኤ ያለአንዳች የሐሳብ ልዩነት በቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ ከተጠና በኋላ በቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ ውሳኔ መሠረት ከማዕረጉ ይወርዳል፤» የሚል ቃል አስፍሮ ሲኖዶሱን በአፈና ልዩ ሥልጣን ተጠቅመውና እንደ ሌለ አድርገው ካሳዩ በኋላ፤ «የኑፋቄ መጻሕፍት በማሳተም የተዋሕዶ ሃይማኖትን አፋልሰዋል፤ ሕገ ቤተ ክርስቲያንን ሳይጠብቁ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ከምታወግዛቸው ጋር የጸሎተ ቅዳሴና የማዕድ ተሳትፎ አድርገዋል፤ ቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ ከምታወግዘው ፓፓ ቡራኬ ተቀብለዋል፤» እያልን እየተቃወምን ለተቃውሟችንም ተጨባጭ ማስረጃ እያቀረብን፤ እሳቸውም ይህንን ሳይቃወሙ ይህ እንዳይቀጥል በሥልጣናቸው ተጠቅመው ኦርቶዶክሳዊውን የሊቃውንት ጉባኤ ሲያፈርሱ ጉዳዩን አይቶ ውሳኔ በመስጠት ፈንታ እንደገና በሕግ፥ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ስፍራ ተተክተው ለሲኖዶሱ ሥልጣንና ተግባር አመራር ሰጪ ይሆናሉ፤ የሲኖዶሱ አባሎች ሁሉ ለፓትሪያርኩ ተጠሪ ይሆናሉ፤ ሲል የወጣው አዋጅ አፈጻጸም ነው። ይህ ሕገ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ተብሎ የታወጀው ሕግ፤ «እስመ ሜጥዋ ለዐመፃ ላዕሌከ፤» «ዐመፅን ወደ አንተ መለሷት፤» ተብሎ እንደ ተጻፈ ቤተ ክርስቲያንን መካነ ጣዖት፥ ምእመናንን መምለኪያነ ጣዖት የሚያሰኝ ስለ ሆነ ምእመናን ሁሉ በሙሉ ድምፅ እንድትቃወሙት በእግዚአብሔርና በቤተ ክርስቲያን ስም እጠይቃለሁ።
ሐ፤ ከአሁን ጀምሮ ማለት ይህ ቃል በነጻው ፕሬስ ከተላለፈበት ጊዜ ጀምሮ በብፁዕ ወቅዱስ አቡነ ጳውሎስ ቃልና እጅ፥ በሲኖዶሱ ዋና ጸሓፊ በአቡነ ገሪማ ቃልና እጅ፥ ይህን አሁን የተጻፈውን ሕግ የቤተ ክርስቲያን ሕግ ብለው አጽድቀው በተባባሪነት አሳልፈዋል የተባሉ ጳጳሳትና ሊቃነ ጳጳሳት ሁሉ እውነት ሆኖ ከተገኘ የበደሉ ተባባሪዎች ናቸውና በነሱ ቃልና እጅ ቡራኬ እንዳትቀበሉ፥ እንዳትናዘዙ፤ ስማቸውን በጸሎተ ቅዳሴ የሚጠሩ አለቆች፥ ቀሳውስት፥ ካህናት ካሉም የአምልኮተ ጣዖት አራማጅ ናቸውና ተጠንቅቁባቸው፤ ምክር ስጧቸው፤ እንቢ ካሉም ተለዩዋቸው። እንዲሁም ሐምሌ ፭ ወይም ፮ ቀን ይከበራል ተብሎ ሽርጉድ የሚባልለት በዓለ ሢመት የአሮን የወርቅ ጥጃ መታሰቢያ ሆኖ በቤተ ክርስቲያን ሊከበር የማይገባው ስለ ሆነ በዓሉ ከመድረሱ በፊት የሲኖዶሱ አባላት በአስቸካይ ተሰብስበው ሕጉን ካልሻሩና በጣዖትነት የተሰየሙትን አቡነ ጳውሎስን ከሥልጣናቸው ካላነሡ ምእመናን ይህንን በዓል እንዳታከብሩ ለቤተ ክርስቲያን ደሙን ባፈሰሰ አምላክ ስም፥ ቤተ ክርስቲያንን በሚመራና በሚጠብቅ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ስም ጥያቄዬን አስተላልፋለሁ። ምናልባት የሕጉን ጽሑፍ አንብቦ መረዳት የተሳነው፥ ግን በልዩ ልዩ ደጋፊዎቻቸው ተጭበርብሮ በቸልታ የሚመለከተው፤ ከዚያም ዐልፎ በሥልጣናቸው እየተመኩ ለቤተ ክርስቲያን ጥያቄ ጆሯችንን አንሰጥም ብለው ይህን በደል ያደረሱትን ፓትርያርክ አቡነ ጳውሎስን፥ በሦስት የሹመት ስም የሚንቀባረሩትን አባ ገሪማን፥ ለነሱ ድጋፍ የሚሰጡትንም ሁሉ፤ ጌታዬ አምላኬ፤ «በምድር ያሰራችሁት በሰማይ የታሰረ ይሆናል፤» ሲል በሰጠው ቃል በአብ በወልድ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ሥልጣን፤ በጴጥሮስ፥ በጳውሎስ፥ በማርቆስ፥ በቄርሎስ፥ በባስልዮስ፥ በቴዎፍሎስ፥ በተክለ ሃይማኖት ዘደብረ ሊባኖስ ቃል፤ ኃጥእ ደካማም በምሆን በእኔም በቀሲስ ወልደ ጊዮርጊስ ቃል አውግዤአለሁ። ይህን ሕግ የተቀበሉና ከሥራ ላይ ያዋሉ ሁሉ እንደ አርዮስ፥ እንደ መቅዶንዮስ፥ እንደ ንስጥሮስ፥ እንደ ፍላብያኖስ፥ እንደ ኬልቄዶን ጉባኤና ተከታዮቹ እሱራን፥ ውጉዛን ይሁኑ። በማይፈታው በእግዚአብሔር ሥልጣን አስሬአለሁ።
ለአብ ለወልድ ለመንፈስ ቅዱስ ምስጋና ይሁን አሜን።
ማስጠንቀቂያ፤ አምላኬ ሂድ ተናገር ያለኝን ትእዛዝ ለእናንተ አድርሻለሁ። ሩጫዬንም ጨርሻለሁ። ከእንግዲህ ተጠያቂነቱ የእናንተ የምእመናንና ታሪክ ተጠያቂ ያደረገው የመንግሥት ነው። ለዚህም ምስክሬ ራሱ እግዚአብሔር፥ ቅዱሳን መላእክት፥ ሰማይና ምድር ናቸው።

One of the traits of Christianity is not to be judgmental but these kinds of stuffs always tempt us to judge, to curse and to be unchristian, Aba Paulos is not only squandering our Church’s fund that could have made a lot of difference in so many peoples lives as well as saving many poverty ridden monasteries that are under heavy stress due to lack of capital and threat by the muslims but he is also making us to commit the sin of being judgmental and profanity against Church figures. I don’t see any point of erecting a statue for himself, as far as I know, our Church strongly condemns statues and are labeled as Idols which are strictly forbidden in our books. Our early Church fathers and even Emperors of the past have never even attempted to build something for their own vanity, Emperor Lalibela, with all his architectural sophistication and power and with all the love he was loved by his people, he never even tried to put his name in any of his rockhewn Churches, King Ezana, King Kaleb and all our former leaders on the throne only made us remember them by their good work for their nation and Church not by personal “amour propre” acts. I pray to God to forgive me for judging this person while my own shoulders are on the verge of being broken by my own burden of sins and may God give us all brains that can think straight. ቅ/ፓትርያርኩ ለ18ኛ በዓለ ሲመታቸው የ3.4 ሚሊዮን ብር መኪና ተሸለሙ
(ደጀ ሰላም፤ ጁላይ 12/2010)፦ የቅዱስ ፓትርያርኩ 18ኛ ዓመት በዓለ ሲመት ሲከበር ትናንት በቦሌ በተደረገው የሐውልት ምረቃ ዝግጅት ላይ የአዲስ አበባ አድባራት የገዙላቸው ነው የተባለ የ3 ሚሊዮን 332 ሺህ ብር የ2010 አዲስ ቶዮታ መኪና ተሸልመዋል። የአዲስ አበባ ሀ/ስብከት ሥራ አስኪያጅ ሊቀ ማዕምራን ፋንታሁን ሙጬ የሀውልቱ ምረቃ በዓል ላይ እንደገለፁት ከሆነ መኪናውን 3.4 ሚሊዮን ብር የገዙት የአዲስ አበባ ገዳማትና አድባራት ናቸው። በትክክሉም ብሩ የወጣውን ከነዚህ ገዳማትና አድባራት ነው። ግን እንት ሊያወጡት እንደቻሉ ሊቀ ማዕምራን ፋንታሁን አልነገሩንም። እያንዳንዱ የአዲስ አበባ ቤተ ክርስቲያን እንዳቅሙ ከ45 ሺህ እስከ 65 ሺህ ብር በግድ እንዲያዋጡ መገደዳቸውን አልተናገሩም።
ስለዚሁ ጉዳይ ሊቀ ማዕምራን ፋንታሁን ባለፈው ሳምንት በጠሩት ስብሰባ ላይ የአዲስ አበባ ገዳማትና አድባራት አስተዳዳሪዎች እና ፀሐፊዎች ተገኝተው ነበር። በወቅቱ እያንዳንዱ ቤተ ክርስቲያን በነፍስ ወከፍ 85 ሺ ብር እንዲያዋጣ የታሰበ ቢሆንም አስተዳዳሪዎቹ እና ፀሐፊዎቹ “ኧረ ሕዝቡ ምን ይለናል? አይቀበለንም” ባሉት የተቃውሞ ሐሳብ መጠኑ ተቀንሶ የሚችሉ 65 ሺህ ብር፣ ገቢያቸው ትንሽ የሆነ ደግሞ 45 ሺህ ብር እንዲያዋጡ ተወስኖባቸዋል። ይህ ሁሉ ብር የቤተ ክርስቲያን ብር እንጂ የአቡነ ጳውሎስም፣ የፋንታሁን ሙጬም አልነበረም።፡ታዲያ እንዲህ እንዲጫወቱበት መብት የሰጣቸው ማነው? ቅ/ሲኖዶሱስ ይህንን እያየ ዝም የሚለው እስከ መቼ ነው? ይህ ወንጀል አይደለምን?
የነገሮችን አካሄድ ለመመልከት እንደሞከርነው በመኪና ግዢ፣ በጉባዔ እና በሐውልት ምረቃ ስም በቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱ ውስጥ ሰፊ የገንዘብ ምዝበራና የሥርዓተ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ጥሰት እየተካሄደ መሆኑን የሚያሳዩ አንዳንድ ፍንጮች አሉ። በዚህ ወንጀል የተባበሩና እየተባበሩ ያሉ ሰዎች አንድ ቀን በሕግ (በፍትሐ ብሔርም ሆነ በወንጀል) ሊጠየቁ ይችላሉ። አሁን ባለው ሁኔታ ግን ሰዎቹ ለመንፈሳዊውም ሕግ፣ ለዓለማዊውም ሕግ የሚገዙ አይደሉም። መንፈሳዊውን ሕግ የያዘው ክፍል ዝም ብሏል፣ የፍትሐ ብሔሩንም የያዘው ዝም ብሏል። መንፈሳዊው ሕግ አለመፈፀሙ የሚያስጠይቀው ቅዱስ ፓትርያርኩን እና ቅዱስ ሲኖዶሱን ሲሆን ዓለማዊው ሕግ አለመፈፀሙ ደግሞ መንግሥትን ያስጠይቀዋል። ቅዱስነታቸው አሁን እየፈፀሙት ባሉት ድርጊት ቤተ ክርስቲያኒቱን በማዋረዳቸውና ንብረቷን በማስዘረፋቸው (ዘርፈው ለዘራፊ በመክፈታቸው) ራሳቸውም በሕግ ከመጠየቅ ማምለጥ የሚችሉ አይመስሉም። ማምለጥም የለባቸውም። ይህ ድርጊታቸው ከፕትርክናቸውም ሊያስሽራቸው አይገባም? መንግሥት በበኩሉ እነዚህ ወንጀለኞች እንደፈለገ እንዲፈነጩ ዝም በማለቱና ሕግን ባለማስከበሩ፣ የሕዝብን መብት በማስደፈሩ ሊጠየቅ ይገባዋል። መንግሥት የነዚህ ወንጀለኞች ተባባሪ መሆኑን ከቀጠለ መንግሥትን መቃወም ኢትዮጵያዊ ግዴታችን ብቻ ሳይሆን ሃይማኖታዊ ግዴታችንም ይሆናል ማለት ነው።

Worship not Aba Diabilos! Worship the LORD (Psalm 96:9)!
We saw with our own eyes his standing statue in the middle of the city of Addis Ababa; next, we will see his Ethiopian Vannozza (Giovanna) dei Cattani and of his many illegitimate children from her.
When I saw for the first time on the Ethiopian Review (thank you, Elias) the new and costly statue of this prostitute Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church, I felt exactly the way Moses felt when he beheld the Golden Calf standing in the middle of the Israelites’ camp. Out of his burning anger, uncontrollable rage, and a burning zeal for the Almighty God, Moses took down the Golden Calf the idolatrous Israelites had made, burned it in the fire, grounded it to powder, scattered it on the water, and forced the Israelites to drink it (Exodus 32:19-20).
If the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church have had a leader like Moses, responsible for his people, responsible for the worship of the true God, and responsible for his leadership, the statue of the adulterous and the greedy Patriarch, Aba Paulos (Diabilos), would not be standing in our capital city of Addis Ababa today while many Ethiopian homeless and starving children are roaming the city for a piece of bread.
Of course, people erect statues for their heroes and saints who have done so many good and memorable things for humanity; for example, we can erect statues for Mahatma Gandhi, for Martin Luther King, Jr., for Mother Theresa, and for many other heroes, but we should never erect a statue for a person, like Aba Paulos, who has done more harm than good for the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church: the prostitute Patriarch, Aba Gebre Medhin, has divided the Ethiopian Orthodox Church into an Amhara and a Tegaru Church; the Tegaru Church is at home in Ethiopia, worshiping the statue of Aba Paulos, and the Amhara Church is in exile, serving the true God of the Ethiopian people.
Following the foot steps of his master, Meles Seitanawi (Zenawi), who has been ruling Ethiopia on ethnic lines, Aba Paulos, who came from the same region where dictator Meles came from and appointed by the same murderer dictator to lead the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church, has stolen many valuable artifacts from the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Churches and monasteries, and he was caught few years ago while he was trying to find customers to buy the Arc of the Covenant from the Axum Zion Church. He was stopped by the courageous Ethiopian monks in Jerusalem as he was attempting to sell one of the houses of the Ethiopian monks there. Also, Aba Paulos has blood in his hand because in January 1997, he murdered an innocent Ethiopian monk at St. Stephen’s Church in Addis Ababa while the monk was preaching and criticizing the corrupt Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church just like John the Baptist who criticized King Herod Antipas without fear and who denounced him for marrying his brother Herod Philips’ wife, Herodias (Mark 6:17-19).
Aba Paulos is the most hated Patriarch the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church ever has in its entire Ethiopian Church history, and the most heinous crime he has ever committed is not the murder of that innocent Ethiopian monk, but he has made himself the laughing stock of the whole Christina and Muslim world for erecting a statue for himself before while he is alive on this earth of ours.
I don’t know how many Ethiopian legislators, ministers, army generals, governors, foreign dignitaries, popes, clergies, debteras, deacons, priests, Imams, and selected singers with their horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipes, drums, and with all kinds of music have attended for the dedication of the great statue of Aba Paulos (Diabilos). Dictator Meles Seitanawi (Zenawi) may have ordered the erecting of this degrading statue to be set up in the middle of the city of Menelik II, and as soon as the statue was set up, Meles may have summoned the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, including Al Amoudi, judges, magistrates and all the other provincial officials to come to the dedication of the statue and to give homage to the image of Aba Paulos (Diabilos) If there are some Ethiopian Shadrachs, Meshachs and Abednegos who refused to worship the statue of Aba Paulos, they will be thrown into the Qaliti jail if not into the burning furnace (Daniel 3:1-23).
Shame on you, Aba Gebre Medhin! Shame on you Dictator Meles Seitanawi! Shame on you the Ethiopian Legislators! And shame on you, Jezebel (Azeb)! All of you are responsible for turning the Ethiopian Christians and the Ethiopian Muslims from worshipping the true God to worshiping the Statute of the illegitimate Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church. The Almighty God will never forget your endless crimes! One day, the Jealous God will bring to the Ethiopian people a person like the Biblical Jehu who destroyed the house of Ahab by killing Ahab, his wife Jezebel, and their 70 children and there by cleansing the land of Israel from worshipping idols or statues (2nd Kings 10:29) Watch out Meles Seitanawi! The intent of the Patrirch is to belittle the sacred perception of Ethiopian Christians towards the orthodox church and eventually trash and dismantle the spiritual culture. The Orthodox church has been always the main vanguard for safeguarding Ethiopian territory and integrity. By planting distrust and by focusing on things that divides us, they are trying to tarnish the very essence of the church and shrink its role in people’s life. Now families percieve the chruch just as corrupt as any Municipalities and administrative offices. This is what they tried and, unfortunately, achieved.

What a way to show humility, soon Aba Diablose is going to place a drop-box by his statue for Ethiopians to put offerings, light candles and bow-down to worship his statue. Woyanes are making a mockery of the oldest religion in the world–Ethiopian Orthodox Church! What surprises me the most is the people who were gathering arround the statue and loughing and smiling.
A group who came as a historical accident keep on doing owe and shoke on Ethiopia, its people and on every fabrics of its establishements.
1, Breaking apart its parts and let any part of the country go away- starting from red sea boundary, afars, Eritrea with out any fear of treason and historical crimes associated with it.
2. They eliminated all bank workers who opposed a principle and replaced them with any body who wants to work in their behalf.
3. They dismissed 44 university professors in which the country paid a huge sum of its wealth as an investment to train and educate them so that they teach their back ward society in order to bring to modern thinking and be part of the contemporary society
5. They dissolve an existing structure of the orthodox synod with out giving a single respect for its rules and traditions and substitute everything with their fellow newcommers in arms and sent the syond to exile.
6. They reintroduced ethnic baggages to the Ethiopian society that was devised by Mussolloni to weaken the strength of the Ethiopian people to subjugate them–which is purely a mokery of the social dvelopment of the ethiopian society, saying that they are not yet beyond thinking their ethnic groups, so it is good to contain them as goods and furnitures by their types only–which are ethnic shelfs, which by the way make them herders than leaders..they need to control crowd than to lead them with vision to take them where they were not been before.
7. They outsource what is an asset of uniity and affinity to Ethiopians– selling roads and streets of Addis Ababa to foreign names which have nothing to do with Ethiopia and its people. But instead if a street is named say as: Harra street, Wollega avenue, Bahirdar street, Gondar avenue, Debrezeit road, Mekelle street, Awassa road, etc. when a person from the farout part of Ethiopia gets a name of a place where he came from in another part of Ethiopia, specially in Addis Ababa, he will immediately feel that he indeed is part and parcel of Ethiopia and be joyful.
8. They make a mokery on the Ethiopian people by treating them like children who are not even capable of understanding when they are cheated and insulted politically, socially and calturally. The staute erected for the person is one such an insult. Putting potentially wining political opponents in prison not only to kill their political ambitions but their spirit, or hidden illimintaion.. so that the maximum a political opponent can be is to play a good cheerleader of a pseudo-democratic process.
The list of plunders, mokery and sinister actions are so many, but few of the Ethiopian people keep on smiling–unlike the Mussolloni time.. eventhough the actions are exactly the same if not more to Ethiopia and its people.

The current fake statue, however, will be added to all the fake TPLF/eprdf: constitution, elections, ethnic demarkation, democracy and double digit-development etc as part of the case load to be presented before local or an International Criminal Court as an abuse of political power against the citizens of Ethiopia.
The irony is the “Abune’s” statue will not be well accepted anywhere, not even in his home state of Tigray, let alone a few miles away from the statue of the patriot & the real Abune Petros, who gave his life for ETHIOPIA.

Hard to believe this can ever happen in Ethiopia. It is the dark age for Ethiopian Orthodox church. It is sad in 21st century this kind of ignorance. 700 years ago happened in Europe with church leaders, because of simony and nipotism. After seven centuries it is happening in the cursed land with the administration of Abba Paulos. So guys there is need of reformation with this kind of corruption the church is dying.

Let us see this from a positive angle. I do not know why we react negatively for every thing. Addis Ababa is the capital of Ethiopia, a Christian Island. The majestic statue of Patriarch, no matter the intensity of the gauges have held against the Pop, he carried and raised the cross high over the City. Our cross represents our religion, Christ reign over Ethiopia, and triumph over death. It is very sinful to compare this with the statue of Sadam. We have to salute who ever concoct this idea and the statue with its cross in hand shall receive people coming to Ethiopia for ever!
Something feels oddly strange, out of place and may be pompous. The piety all in glittering cover of a statue while he is alive and built by the very “Patriarch”. There is such a difference of feeling in coming across, remembering and/or growing around observing THE GREAT ABUNE PETROS’ STATUE and comparing it with such VANITY.
His golden outfit is commonly worn by the high priests of Ethiopian Orthodox churches in times of service. It is beautiful and glorifies the sense and highness of God in terms of religion art, but the patriarchs and overall the general standard of garment had been either black and/ or other choice out side of religious services. In his unusual case 100% white. The golden mask does not seem to fit right for a statue.

There is enough history that shows Ethiopia is one of the oldest Christian country in the world…If we take what you said to be true…then why not a statue of Jesus Christ, instead of a fake Patriarchy statue?

I am sure his Holly St. Paulos is an extraordinary leader in history of Ethiopian Orthodox church. His Holly has done an outstanding work in transforming and modernizing church’s systems and structures.
Lets evaluate leaders/heros… by their vision and performance/achievements, not by their ethnic group or political affilation.
