Concerned Ethiopians in Washington DC have written an open letter to Aba Kewstos asking him to provide report about the funds he had collected for repairing Ethiopian monasteries in Jerusalem, Israel, that are said to be falling apart.
A few months ago, Aba Kewstos had been collecting money from Ethiopian Orthodox Christians residing in the Washington DC area saying that the monasteries are in need of urgent repair, or else they would be permanently lost.
However, many of those who had contributed money for the purpose of repairing these monasteries are now asking questions after hearing that the monasteries are still not being repaired. In fact, not a penny has been spent so far for repair.
The Ethiopian monasteries in Jerusalem are Ethiopia’s national treasures, on top of their religious significance, but they are totally neglected by the so-called “patriarch” in Ethiopia who has just finished building another rental property for his personal use in Addis Ababa. A few years ago he had built a golden palace for his residence.
Aba Kewstos is said to have been sent to Washington DC from Ethiopia by this fake patriarch, Aba Gebremedhin (formerly Aba Paulos), a Woyanne cadre and a thief who should be in jail for numerous crimes, including the murder of innocent civilians.

You know this is atypical failure among the orthodox followers. I am not only blaming those mafias who are stealing money around churches by pretending as if they are good priests just because they dress the garment of the orothodox church along with the cap and gown. And they hold a cross on their hands. Most orothodox followers bleivies priests more than we believe our reliogion. Some of us don’t exactly wouldn’t be able to diffreciate the basic three things around a church, the priest, Jesus( god) and the church it self. Some of us assuming that the priest is everything in the church and we also assume that we have to follow and trust what the priest says. So when the priest says collect some money we just emotionally do it and regreat later. Most people including the current weyane admistration understands how to trick the Ethiopian people. And they use churches as a mainly cheating purpose tool. They have created many old man people who pretends to act as a priest but these people are doing some other objectives including cheating money, siding with the weyane political path in the name of church. Some of the priests strongly forcing many followers not to involve in the Ethiopian situation by saying as if god forbidden to do so. And many followers tend to listen and trust the priests rather than worshiping god and reading what the bible says. There fore we hear many contrivorcial sitruation including cheating in many areas of north America and Europe. Theis aba Kewstos is one of the lier who is covered by the cap, gown and the cross in the name of priest to accomplish his weyane’s political duties and his own finacial obligation around a church. Now he wouldn’t listen if some one asks him in the name of bible. We need to try to bring him to justice by using some legal documents if we had. And this has to be a big lesson for so many Ethiopian orthodox followers to know what shold be our obligation around churches. Lets not belive the priest and lets worship our god. Ethiopia has never seen such an educated Patriarch, Aba Poulos. He revived the church by re-opening the Theology college in Arat Kilo. All of us know well where the church would be now. Now we are able to be served by educated priests.

Good work for being a medium on issues of accountability. You are making it hard on corrupted people not run around in our lives and collect our money for their purposes. Every Ethiopian need to learn how to ask how the money they gave is spent.

By claiming to help monasteries they have been pillaging the many of the unsuspecting parish throughout US and Europe. At the same time, This group which stands for the honor of Aba Gebre Medhin is busy infiltrating many of the churches by bribing the priests to accept this man’s (illegal) hierarchal authority or his Hodam Archbishops such as Aba Melaku and Aba Markos. There are ample evidence tracing all the division within many of the churches including the Saint Mary Church in DC which is directly connected to this political-financial secretive group.
This group and its members along with their sympathizers need to be exposed within our community. Throughout her 2000 years of Christian heritage , The Ethiopian Church has been assaulted by countless external enemies . Today she faces the combined scale of Armageddon’s by such group and Aba gebremedhin from within. Where do the holy Abas dwell?
Aba Paulos continues to deceive the Ethiopian people at home and abroad; by deception he has become the Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church; by deception he has built a gorgeous palace for himself, and many rental houses, and by deception he has sent his agent, Aba Kewstos, to America to collect money in the name of restoring the Ethiopian monasteries in Israel, telling the American Ethiopians that the Ethiopian monasteries are in need of immediate repair because they are “falling apart.” In reality though, he is the one who is falling apart financially, physically, and ethically.
Aba Paulos is not a religious person; if he were he wouldn’t build a palatial house for himself and for his secret concubines; who knows he may have thousands of them and perhaps many illegitimate children from some of them. I have never seen him settling doctrinal issues, concerning predestination of which the Ethiopian Orthodox Church’s position on this subject is unclear yet. He also has no definite answer to the question many people in Ethiopia raise why the preparation of the Holy Communion has been so secrete for many centuries. For example, what is the role of Like Kahinat or Nebureid in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church? Aba Paulos just likes to meet Holy wood celebrities instead of learned Ethiopian clergy in his golden palace.
Therefore, it is unethical for him to send Aba Kewstos to America to collect money from the Ethiopian people in diaspora and use the collected money for building his rental property, and the Ethiopian people in America deserve the right to sue the two false Abas – Aba Kewstos and Aba Paulos, and if found guilty, they may lose their religious titles and send to jail.
So, my advice to the Ethiopian American friends is don’t be cheated by giving your money to the many unknown Abas; you should know the good and the bad Abas. The good Abas never collect money; they rather collect souls by preaching the word of God to them and bringing them closer to God, their creator, but the bad Abas come in the name of God or in the name of repairing a falling Church building or in the name of hungry children or some victims of war or any natural disasters. Be aware of such deceivers and examine them very carefully before you throw away your hard-earned money to such greedy and false Abas. Don’t be cheated with their smooth words, with their askema (kob) or hat on their heads and long dress, with their rosary and the brass- or the golden-made cross on their chests. They come with such elements in order to manipulate the innocent, religious, and honest Ethiopian people.
Some times, they come dressed in tottered clothes, worn out shoes, and wearing long birds. They have different ways of presenting themselves to their victims. Many times, you hear them talking in Geez language few words or mentioning some names of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church saints or present their case in song form or poetry form. They can even tell you they have just come from Waldiba Monastery, Zikuala Mastery or Asebot Monastery, so they need some money for their monasteries. They further can say that they have started building a church in such and such remote area, somewhere in Ethiopia but could not finish the building because they are out of money, so they need your help to finish building their church. They can show you some church artifacts for sale to cover the cost of the building of the church they have started.
To know the facts from the fictions, sit with them for few minutes, listen to their stories very carefully, cross-examine them, and then compare their stories with your logical reasoning. If you believe what they have said is true, then be generous and help them; after all they are accountable for the public money they have been collecting by fabricating false stories. You have done your thorough investigation and have inferred from what you have heard from the Abas is true and have given your money to them. You are indeed a blessed one who gives his money generously for a good cause.
By the way, most Ethiopian Abas spend their times fasting, praying, and serving their monasteries instead of going out to the world and collecting money and spending it for a prostitution.
Nowadays, it is hard to find the real Abas and to get a blessing from them by inviting them to your house and sharing your food with them, but the problem is you don’t find such holy Abas in the city, in the streets, in the palace, and even in the monasteries, because today’s monasteries have become the hiding places for criminals like the Meles family and his political gangsters.
Some of these holy Abas can be found accidentally or by the will of God; they live in remote places, isolated from the secular world: some of them live in caves, on mountains, and in the valleys. When you meet one of these holy Abas by the will of God, you can instantly see that there is the Holy Spirit on him – the Holy Spirit – that would tell you to follow this holy Aba wherever he goes, but following him is the hardest decision you only have to make, no one else. The holy Aba does not ask you to follow him; it is only the Holy Spirit in him that invites you to go with this holy Aba, but still you have your own free will to follow or not to follow this holy man of God.
In Ethiopia today, those holy Abas are rare to find, and God is keeping them away from us the sinners, but one day, in his own time, he will send them to the world to denounce the evil acts of us human beings; however, no one knows when that day will come but the Almighty God!

This post is old, but the issue the same. The so-called writer of these articles is a non-spiritual, advocate of Satan himself. The so-called editor is a divider of the people; look at what he’s doing. Sitting back and laughing, making entertainment on these issues. When is that last time any of you or the editor been to the Holy Land to see the EOTC monasteries? Can’t answer? I didn’t think so. There is a status quo on the Church of St. Helen and Deir Sultan. This wonderful monk and bishop never said that he would have Deir Sultan repaired, rather he would build a new building in Al-Azar that would strictly belong to the EOTC to care for older/sick monks. Who are sick from the old paint and mold of Deir Sultan. Get the facts straight and stop spreading Satanic work! You infidels!
