Woyanne gives 1,600 sq km of farm land to Sudan

The Ethiopia-Sudan Border Committee is reporting that the ruling Tigrean People Liberation Front (Woyanne) has given to Sudan 1,600 square kilometers of fertile farm land. Click here to read the full report [pdf, Amharic]. The Woyanne regime denies the report, but a few months ago, the Sudanese media had reported about it quoting Sudanese government officials. Reportedly, this secret deal between Meles Zenawi and Al Bashir, in return would allow the Tigray region to build a railway from Tigray to Port Sudan. All of the land that was given to Sudan was carved out of Gonder and Oromia regions. Meanwhile, ER Research Unit has learned that the Woyanne regime has moved all air force fighter jets to Tigray. According to eyewitnesses, only a few transport planes and helicopters are left in Debre Zeit.

  1. Now you know more than any other time as to the mission of the weyanes: It is to fragment Ethiopia and Ethiopians to the point of extinction. Brothers and sisters these people have no moral or ethical rules. The weyanes have mastered on how to slaughter Ethiopian in 3 ways; 1- those who wear donated suits to act as they are the care-takers of Ethiopians by singing the same songs, “democracy, development, elections”, while the killing is in progress, 2- those who wear donated suits but act as representatives of the killel while the killing and imprisonment continues in their respective localities, and 3- those who are armed forces who kills and kills at any given time in any given place with out hesitation. At the end of day all weyanes act is kill, kill, and kill. I pray to the people who are being victimized these backward tribalist!

  2. Selam Elia,
Would you please correct the title? It is not 1,600 sq.km of land. Rather, it is 1,600 km (length) by about 30 to 50 km (width) which is between 48, 000 Sq. km and 80, 000 Sq. km. In effect, it is 30 to 50 times what you stated as a title.

Any way, coming to the main issue, the solution to all problems of the country is to remove woyane from its illegaly seized power and bring the power to a legally elected government by the people for the people. For this to come to in effect, it requires unity among all citizens and wage the struggle aggressively. Actually, it is a matter of time for this dictatorial regime to come to an end. The more we get united, the sooner the end of these illegal guang of dictators. Lets do our “Dirsha” guys.

    Thanks

  3. Meles Seitanawi wants by any means to protect Tigray from any future danger, and that is why he has decided to station his best army with its fighter jets in Tigray. The other provinces, whether they are attacked or sold out, does not matter for him. He only cares for Tigray.

  4. Hi Elias
There are two scenarios here one is woyanne is thinking break away from Ethiopia and when we Ethiopians engage with Sudan claming our land they(woyanne tigrays) are going to live peacefully which is not last longer. The other one is woyanne already knows that they are the most hateful people inside Ethiopia and the whole East Africa and it is just a matter of time that Ethiopian people are going to establish resistance army to fight them for freedom and if that happen they (the hateful minorities) know that they will fall with in weeks.By the way Ethiopian People Resistance Army is on the way be established in Gonder and in Gojjam. I think what they(Woynnes) are doing is good becauce they(woyannes) are in trouble and they are trying to go away from it and with out there knowledge they are digging hole for their own burial; speeding up their death. We can also say this giving away of sovergin land for sudan is not going to have ligitmacy because it was done behind doors without the knowlege of the people here I am not going to mention the parlama because the country don’t have legitmate parlama since woyanne came to power. As to our land we will have it by hook or crook and Sudan should know that we rather have land west of the fake border.

  5. It is really being unpatriotic.Woyannes will sell the people of Ethiopia in the near future not only the land.
I think it is time to be united and be against Woyanne. What this border committee is doing? The border committee should disclose the truth to the people of Ethiopia and let the people of Ethiopia decide up on it.That was the land for which, many patriotics lost their life.
    God bless Ethiopia.

  6. Whether we like it or not, the Gondar land will stay in the hands of the Sudanese people indefinitely until Meles Seitanawi is driven out from power by the power of the Ethiopian people.

We have seen crime after crime being committed by Meles Seitanawi, but the giving away the Gondar land to Sudan is the most egregious crime ever committed by an illegitimate leader – Meles Seitanawi, the prince of demons, ruling Ethiopia and making the Ethiopian people sick and abhorrent to seeing daily a demonic man, Meles Seitanawi.

For sure, we cannot fight two powers at the same time to bring back our land from the Sudan government; first we have to fight our internal enemy – the Woyanne regime and win by driving away the Meles political gangs from power; then we can fight the Sudanese with the help of our Eritrean brothers and sisters, and if the Eritreans ask us to give them some territories, we may give them some from the Tigray territories. It is better to give some territories to the Eritreans than to Sudan. After all Eritreans and Ethiopians are the same people – brothers and sisters.

  7. From outrage to despair!

Your silence that has enervated your voice from speaking out when you see an unforgivable sin being committed by the one of your spiritual sons, Meles Seitanawi, your adamant behavior not to say a single word when a sacred land from Ethiopia is handed over to the Sudanese people, your mundane affairs of life which has blinded your eyes from identifying the bad and the good, your spirituality on question after you intentionally indulged with one of the Holy Wood celebrities, your Ph. D. in political science misleading you to forget your spiritual duties toward the Ethiopian people, your choice to be served by the Ethiopian people rather than to serve them and bring them closer to the Almighty God, your ears deafened from hearing the cries of the Ethiopian children in anguish, your eyes closed from seeing what is going on in Ethiopia – the selling of the Gondar land to Sudan, the selling of Ethiopian artifacts and Ethiopian gold to foreign lands – Mr. Paulos or the so-called Abune Paulos, Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, what are you waiting for? You have the power to excommunicate the Meles family for selling the Gondar fertile land to the Sudanese government. I’m sure, you know that famous monastery, Mahibere-Selasie, is very close to the land the Sudanese government is receiving freely from your son, Meles Seitanawi; are you not worried that one day that the Sudanese government will annex the Monastery to its new territories? I know you don’t care about the Ethiopian properties; the Ethiopian monasteries are the Ethiopian properties, but since you have never been in or trained by one of these famous Ethiopian monasteries, you don’t care what would happen to them. Do you think the Sudanese government will be satisfied with what your son has given him so far? Don’t fool your self! The Sudanese people never get satisfied until they take Lake Tana; you know the saying: “Give him an inch and he will take a mile.”

Shame on your holiness for being silent instead of opposing the land deal with the Sudanese government, and from now on I will never recognize you as the Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. You do not deserve to sit in that holy chair where Abune Petros sat and gave his life opposing the Ethiopian invasion by the Italians; he gave his life to protect the territories of Ethiopia, and his holy name remains immortal in the Ethiopian history book.

  8. for the first time I have realised there is so much hate for us Sudanese from Ethiopians, least expected! I am against the gang of thieves and killers islamists who control Sudan now, but still there isn’t any ethiopian Land sold to Sudan!

I have noticed a vibe of hate and a paranoid tone towards the Sudanese people, why ? has there been any incident when Ethiopians felt that the Sudanese people hate them ? have the Sudanese people ever had colonial ambitions in Ethiopia ?

someone here even mentioned taht ethiopians and eritreans should unite to fight Sudan as they have a lot in common, well didn’t u find anything in common with the Sudanese people as well ?

Sudan is gonna have very dark days, and no international power or regional country is gonna care, before reading these comments I had the illusion that we can count on Ethiopians and Eritreans. but it seems we are gonna be lonely walkers.

I blame part of this on the irresponsible media that claims or circulate that Sudan is going to support Egypt in a potential conflict about water with Ethiopia, which is not true, Sudanese people are getting more and more aware of the Egyptian exploitation and of their true Identity as east africans rather than ( arabs) , and of their national interest in cooperating with Ethiopia when it comes to water rather than supporting Egyptian greedy stance.

this is still true, but cooperation needs the will, trust and common values that we can build on.
