Hillary Clinton is losing, day-by-day, inch-by-inch

By PEGGY NOONAN, The Wall Street Journal

Hillary Clinton is losing this thing. It’s not one big primary, it’s a rolling loss, a daily one, an inch-by-inch deflation. The trends and indices are not in her favor. She is having trouble raising big money, she’s funding her campaign with her own wealth, her moral standing within her own party and among her own followers has been dragged down, and the legacy of Clintonism tarnished by what Bill Clinton did in South Carolina. Unfavorable primaries lie ahead. She doesn’t have the excitement, the great whoosh of feeling that accompanies a winning campaign. The guy from Chicago who was unknown a year ago continues to gain purchase, to move forward. For a soft little innocent, he’s played a tough and knowing inside/outside game… Continue reading >>

  1. Mr BARCKA Obama is the only person who will drive out USA from it’s political, economical and social problems which are being built by clinton and bush. Mr barack obama is the only person who has an ability to re-build the bridge between USA and an international communities. USA can not with stand alone the whole problem around the world with out an involvement of the rest of the world. Only bush’s admnistartion thinks that USA can play the whole game alone with out any other countries.

  2. I disagree with Yikerbelen. I think what Obama will do if he is elected is too premature to tell. I have doubts if he can do anything different than the rest of the presidents when it comes to foreign policy. I can witness this because I have witnessed four presidential elections and this one is my fifth. And Clinton will do the same and even more aggressively on foreign policy. Remember, democrats are labeled as whimps and weak on defense. So they surely will try to prove they are not weak in defense and they they may resort to war in not more but as much as the republicans.

On the domestic front, Obama may take more radical measures unlike Clinton. But the bottom line is it does not matter whether Clinton or Obama wins as far as foreign policy is concerned. Hence, Clinton and Obama don’t make any difference of how they relate to the Weyanes. They may essentially continue the Bush policy. You should remember that foreign policy is not a matter of individual choice. It is a matter of the so-called national security as defined by the US government and the State Department.

What is more, my hunch is telling me that McCain may win the presidency for this year which is going to be another republican rule which of course is in favor of the Weyanes. I serously think America is not ready for a woman or for black man as a president. When comparing Clinton and Obama against McCain based on experience as well as a huge patriotic resume ,in addtion of being a white man, the American people will go for McCain in the final hour.

My conclusion: Forget the excitement about this presidential election and its impact on Ethiopia. It is a loose-loose situation for the democratic struggle in Ethiopia.Instead, let us focus on the best approach to bring down the Weyane killers to their knees on our own and act immediately and courageously.

  3. The WSJ is the most conservative journal. There is a conserted effort on the side of the republicans to derail Senator Clinton’s candidacy. They know she is the only candidate that can win the general election. What is amazing is the fact that the so called liberal press is also ganging against her. In New Hampshire a day before the primery all were predicting that Obama will win with double digits. The night before the California primery they were predicting again that Obama will win with 15 percent over Hillary. They are diong this because they want to discourage voters from voting for her. This is a big propagand that is being implemented. So dont be part of it. We should support the Democratic ticket regardless of who won the nomination. Let us not elinate Hillary now. She is most likly to win the nomination. Let us take time until the ticket is decided before we take sides.
