Meles says will not shoot even if Eritrea shoots

Baby killer Meles Zenawi told Al Jazeera that his troops will not shoot back even if the Eritrean army shoots at them. But when unarmed civilians hold protest demonstrations in Addis Ababa and other cities, his special forces use high caliber bullets to gun them down. Watch the interview below.

  1. Meles does not understand what he is talking about, I repeat he does not understand the words he is saying or their meaning. He says he accepts the boundary decisions as Final and Binding without precondition, yet he insists to have dialogue, that in itself is PRE-CONDITION. Meles also lies about the Eritrean people and Ethiopians being cousins, in 1998 when he expelled over 80,000 Eritreans from Ethiopia he said, he has the right to expell anyone if he does not like the color of their eyes. Meles is STUPID, point balnk STUPID. HE thinks his smarts can get him out of all the crimes he commited against the Eritrean people. How is it possible for Ethiopians and Eritreans to be living side by side peacefully while those 80,000 Eritreans have their wealth and assts confiscated??? He gave all the confiscated wealth to his Tegere people, which is funny.

  2. I think Meles is suggesting, let the Eritreans free Badme just like Ethiopia has sacrificed tenth of thousands of yound soldiers during the unneccessary war of re-cupturing Badme. He is willing to get out but he wants to play on the lives of many young Ethiopians.

  3. Prime Minister Meles is really found in deep crisis which cannot be solved by himself and his partner.
As you know the contradiction between Eritrea and Meles is antagonistic which cannot be solved through dialog. The only solution of their problem is war nothing else.
Similarly, the contradiction, between the large majority of Ethiopian and Meles is basic and fundamental which can only reconcile with the changes of Meles.
The situation in Somalia is so similar.
The remaining part is unity of the opposition groups to push away this dying regime for once and for all.

  4. Do you know after some time if some body ask him what he said
he will say “I answered for the stupid question that he asked me”. like what he said for one interview, but he is mad. even he didn’t give any respect for his people.he gave for Aljezira b/c it indicate that he got tension inside and out side he want to make it loose. but he will be in prison any way in the near future.
    God Bless Ethiopia

  5. He wants to go around till he solves somalia issues and get back to ERitrea. It seems that he is totaly lost and doesnt know where to start from OLF, ONLF, Somalia, Eritrea so on…way goooooooooooooooooooood

  7. What meles Zerkawi knows only Teret meteret. His terets doens’t make any sense too…..Have you heard one of his teret on his so called parlama last week, as derg said (Tiru tiru le hitsanat)? What is wrong giving the best to the kids? backward African dectetor. We who live in the west know, the good things alway given to kids, because they are the future….

  8. Comparing the balance of power between the Eritrean Army and TPLF army as well as the internal political division in Ethiopia Melese has an idea that this war can destroy not only his power base Tigray but also his rule all over Ethiopia and he now is looking for a way out of this crisis.Eritrea at this point has about 300000 well aremed solders and the TPLF army is only 180000 and out of this 50000 are in Somalia.Do your math.

  9. He said that even if they shoot we don’t shoot. Let me ask him then why are you engaged in war with Somalia? They never shot nor invade Ethiopia’s boarder, nothing wrong they did if at all more than words. His answer may be “Somalis are not cousins but rather source of money from USA”.
If he believes that Eritreans are our cousins, then why did he, more than them selves, promoted thieir self cessation leaving Ethiopia land locked?
I don’t know until when he lies. We Ethiopians should stand hand in hand to bring him down and to justice.

  10. Melese’s reiteration of “full invasion” by Eritrea is to imply threat to his TPLF oligarchy power. However, he is ready to give up any territory claim by Isayas not only Bademe but also more land of Ethiopia as long as Isayas will not threaten his power by any means. His prenciple is to secrify anything related to Ethiopian sovereignty including territoral and peoples unity and national feeling for his criminal groups insatiable desire for power and blundering Ethiopian wealth.

  11. Is ato legesse zenawi asrese afrid of Eritrea or what? He is as shameful not graceful as some of his banda lineages are!

My oppinion is my own feeling after reading the topic of one of his arogant follower from tigraionline .com.

He wrote his arrogance as follows.
    Dec. 03 2007
    Absurdity vs. Irony
Isn’t it ironic how time reverses things upside down? There was a time in history when what we call Eritreans were servants and maids for the lords and rulers of their land who were Tigraians from the main land Tigrai. For some unfortunate circumstances, things changed for a brief time in history and the genuine people of Tigrai became victims of foreign and domestic cruelty. This gives the enemies of Tigrai a chance to blackmail and go beyond unbelievable boundaries.

A good example of this evil is a cheap insult side swiped by the Eritrean website awate.com on the people of Tigrai. On one of their laughable articles, one of their paper tiger writer, called Tigrai “The poorest place on God’s Green earth”. It is rather ironic when the pot calls the kettle black. Infact it is Eritrea that is the most dry and arid place on earth. The Eritrean writer who wrote this piece must be living in the Amazon or Congo jungles and never seen the bad lands of Eritrea which is so barn it looks like god created it when he was so angry. If it wasn’t for the thorny cactus the Eritrean landscape would have felt so ashamed because it is the most naked land forbidden of any green plants.

Only God Knows the minds of legesse.

  12. Well Said Crime Minister Meles !

This time I strongly believe Meles is speaking from his heart. After all his mother is Eritrean he is just half Ethiopian (if any) so, how on earth do I expect him to give order to his Woyane solders to shoot Eritreans who are his half family. But he sure will give order to massacre any innocent Ethiopians who are challenging his TPLF clan. That he has proven again and again.

Ayeee Ethiopia Sentun worada leba ayesh

    Geze Yesetew Kel Dengay Yesbral!

  13. Meles uses such kind of trick in any occasion. He never wants to initiate things directly but he does indirectly. That is the very nature of this cruel man.Do You take his words? No! Never believe his saying. His target is to blame Eritrea as an initiator and to take Ethiopia as a defender.

  14. Liar that he is indeed! The guy talks with both sides of his mouth all at the same time. But again, it must be some kind of disease these people have. Just listen to the “Foreign Minister” for life – how he lies left and right in broad daylight? the question is how infective of a disease this must be since the ass Secretary, Jenweirdo Friger, seems to love to tell lies too. “keahya yehede – ahya fess…” altebalem wey?
Anyway here is a quote of the day: “I don’t care if the Eritreans put a monkey in the Asmara Palace…” that was an answer he gave to the reporter’s querry ” Do you still want ‘Regime change’ in Eritrea?”

  15. The man admitted that the problem between Eritrea and Ethiopia is a problem of leadership; otherwise the people of Ethiopia and Eritrea do coexist. In other words, his statement means that the two governments do not represent the people of the respective countries. Isn’t that what was proved by the May 2005 election? Action contrary to the interest of the people isn’t evidence for the government being not representative of and accountable to its people?

What does a scenario where citizens are doing the right thing towards peaceful coexistence and authorities fail to follow the same implies? Doesn’t it indicate that authority is on the hands of the wrong group? Doesn’t it indicate that getting things right in Ethiopia requires authority to return to the people, who are on the right truck?

In general, the statement supports the idea that democracy is the only lasting solution for conflicts in the horn of Africa (as said by CUDP leaders).

  16. Meles pretends that he donot want war. If the war is brokout the people of Ethiopia will fight againist him to justice and he is frightened but pretending. He dont want to shoot even if Erteria shoot, but he shoot civilian protesters over Ethiopian people.THIS TIME HE CAN NOT DECIVE THE PEOPLE OF ETHIOPIAN.ESPECIALY WE THE THE TIGRIAN SHOULD BE WISE.

  17. Melese himself addmitted that there is no problem between Eritreans and Ethiopians. That’s very true.In this case what is the 2 people responsibilites? I suggest that we the people of the 2 countries should sit down and discuss our difference and come to resolutions. Our biggest enemies are Melese,Isayas and their followers. How do we get rid of them? They are very few comparing to the poeple of the 2 countries.der biaber anbessa yaser!Get together and fight the enemies.I suggest Professor Mesfin’s(Eritrean)Book to read.He was on ETN interviewed by Ato Mulugata Lule.I learn a lot from this respected professor about our enemies Melese and Isayas.

  18. Why meles is confused? Well, considering Jendayi Frazer’s meles’s personal assistant Is very vocal and hostile anti-Eritrea statements in the last year or two, and the unprecedented diplomatic and political cover she personally guaranteed the minority regime in its illegal war of aggression, invasion and occupation of Somalia, I am inclined to believe John Bolton’s version of the truth. If we were to go back and re-visit some of the news reports at that time (early 2006), Bolton would come off as the more credible of the two. Suffice it to mention her repeated attempts to interfere in the work of the EEBC and repeated efforts to hijack the EEBC’s sole mandate of demarcating the Eritrea Ethiopia border.

  19. No matter who starts the war, the problem between Ethiopia and Eritrea will not be resolved in this generation it will rather gain a dangerous momentum to ruin Ethiopia. If the fight broke out we pay 70,000×10=700,000 lives regardless of who the victor will be,and then we will take another 5 years break to prepare for the third round. The more we fight the deeper the hate, the darker the future. This time Eritrea relis on the fresh lives of our own brothers the newly formed Allience soldiers,OLF and Somalis.Going for Asmara is even worse. Our future is in the hands of the two warlords.

  20. I don’t believe a world of whatever he says. He is a pathological liar and is devoid of any moral fibre. The guy has no ethics and is not bound by any standard. He is so used to lying that I doubt if he even knows when he is lying, it just comes naturally to him.
