Soldiers defect to Asmara

Soldiers abandoning the TPLF regime who recently arrived in Asmara said that directives have been given to the TPLF regime’s army to prepare for war.

The defecting soldiers are Tesfai Gerezghier, Teages Esayas Mamo, and Mamush Teklewold Tufa.

The soldiers also explained that the sufferings and oppression committed by the Woyanne regime against the army is gaining momentum and that those fleeing to their respective villages in opposition of the TPLF’s racist and war-mongering policies are being rounded up.

  1. Thank you ER. Glad to see the brave once. We should demand the high ranking millitary officals to do the same. Anyone who has a relative within the army should start urging them to leave the Woyane camp. We need to do it as a campaign.

Fleeing alone is not the answer – I hope this will be a wake up call especially for the NON-TIGRE portion of the Ethiopian Defence Forces (The Oromos, Amaras, Wolayitas, Gurages, Kambatas, Sidamas, Somalis, Agnuaks, etc) to turn their gun towards the real enemy the WOYANES and drive the WOYANE occupation force out of ETHIOPIA.

    I wish Ethiopians fleeing to Eritrea consider that first step to turn it to an army of liberation of Ethiopia from the yoke of Woyane occupation. It is time for Ethiopian Forces to coordinate with the Eritrean Forces to crush Woyane once and for all.

    Again I say THE ENEMY OF MY ENEMY IS MY FRIEND – At this time in our history Woyane is definitely the enemy of Ethiopia and Ethiopians – by simple inference Eritrea is a potential ally in the fight against Woyane and a friend of Democratic forces of Ethiopia.

Indstead of crossing the border next time they should turn the gun against their Military commanders who are at the border to protect Melese Zenawi’s fascist rule on the expense of Ethiopians’ blood and wealth.This war is about consolidating TPLF’s hold on power for ever,it is not about Ethiopian interest.
    A few months back Melese and Sebhat Nega told to the Ethiopian people that they are the one who fought for Ertitrean independence more than the Eritreans themselves.Now the question is who we are to support these people in their war against Eritreans.It is none of my business and should not be Ethiopians neither.

  7. Hey guys defecting is not working. I think it is looking more and more of a coward running away from confronting the Weyane killers. Lately, defecting is becoming more and more a selfish journey especially when soldiers are involved. It may even be a dangerous step to take because the Weyanes are going to arrest all the soldiers and freinds related to these people. Every body knows now who the Weyane killers are.

    Defection works when you are exposing an unknown evil dictator. Now, the world knows who the Weyanes are. We don’t need any more defection to politically advertise against the Weyanes.

    What we need now is potential defectors at any position in the army to stay where they are and get organized somehow and rise up against the Weyane killers.

    My message to the Weyane army members thinking of defecting is to stay where they are and get organized and rise up against the killers at the time of their choice. Don’t defect. Defection now is a cowardly and selfish act.
