As part of preparations for war with Eritrea, Woyanne officials are holding a series of meetings. ER has learned that in many of these meetings, the Woyanne officials are raising their concern about H.R. 2003. It seems that many Woyanne officials are more concerned about this bill in the U.S. Congress than the war with Eritrea.
Late last week, Woyanne dictator Meles Zenawi held a video conference from India with presidents of all the nine killils (regions) to discuss the impending war. According to ER sources, Meles also discussed H.R. 2003 with the killil presidents. Following the video conference, presidents of Tigray, Somali and Beneshangul came up with a recommendation to all the regions to petition the federal government to charge the Kinijit delegation to the U.S. led by Wzt. Bertukan Mideksa with the crime of treason for supporting the bill. The petition is in fact being orchestrated by the Woyanne top leadership, including foreign minister Seyoum Mesfin.
Woyanne officials are scared to death of H.R. 2003 because it will hold them personally accountable for the death of civilians. Many of these officials own expensive homes and other properties in the U.S. When the Woyanne rule ends, these officials plan to leave the country and settle in the U.S. They fear that H.R. 2003 will prevent them from doing that.

Elias you are pulling our leg.Woyane don’t give a dam about
H R 2003.You and your follower waisting time Plz try to write some thing belivable.
Elias,
You brought up a very important and critical point-the fate of Kinijit leaders when they return home. The issue is not whether they should return home or not. The question should be how and when.
The Weyane fascist dictators can not scare anyone with intimidation. They can orchestrate anything. They have done this for the last 17 years. Nothing is new. What should be new is how the Kinijit leadership is going to deal with it in such a way that the party ends up without leadership like last time when the Kinijit leaders were all languishing in prison. What to do is very hard to discuss in detail on your website unless we want to give away the party’s tactics to the Weyanes.
But I will give a hint. Not all Kinijit leaders need to go back to Ethiopia. Even the ones who do, should go gradually one at a time with a one or two months gap. The leaders have to decide who should and should not go back to Ethiopia depending on the specific role each one of them is playing. We have to admit that eventhough all men are created equal, not all talents are equal. Some of the leaders may be critical for the organizational work and some may be young and highly talented and we don’t want them to fall in the enemy’s hand too soon etc. I think the leaders should know better how to decide.
Their decision has nothing to do with fear. The Weyanes were hiding in the woods for 17 years. They did not dare to come out openly to fight the Derg. EPRP did a better and courageous job than the Weyanes by facing the Derg in its own terf. By doing so, EPRP became a victim of the Derg as we all know.
Do Kinijit leaders need courage? Yes. In fact they have demonstrated that for the last 3-4 years. We know they do have courage. They did what the Weyanes did not dare to do during the Derg days. Do Kinijit leaders need adventure? No. We don’t need them to take an adventurous path where they will hurt first themselves, then the party and then the whole struggle. We need them to combine WISDOM and COURAGE. Kinijit should save its top guns for a rainy day which we know is coming. If the political reality in Ethiopia changes in the future especially with the Weyane-Shabiya war looming, Kinijit should have its top guns reviving and leading the party again.
Elias, I have to steal your statement that I saw in your comment once. I don’t remember when. I quote, ” If you fool me once shame on you. If you fool me twice, shame on me.”
We also have to remember that the conditions of their release was in a such a way that it gave a legal loophole for the Weyanes to charge the Kinijit leaders for anything at the time of their choice. And this is enough to tie the Kinijit leaders keeping them busy with the legal system which can create a tremendous hindrance with their party work. On top of these, there will also be harassment and other economic sabotages on the leaders and their followers that will severly restrict their activities.
My feeling is, unfortunately, the path for the peaceful struggle in Ethiopia is getting narrower and narrower. The Weyanes are continuously and aggressively blocking every peaceful avenues of struggle using they Kangaroo legal system as well intimdation and harassment. The struggle with the Weyanes eventually and pretty soon will have to turn into some kind of showdown, armed or otherwise, by the Ethiopian masses. And we should be ready for that and plan ahead like our enemies do.
Elias,
I forgot to mention in my previous comment. I think the issue of Kinijit leaders going back home should be a top item for discussion this week. It may be more important than the Weyane-Shabiya war analysis that got more than 100 comments. Please put this at the top of your news item.
Abiy, thank you for your brilliant argument on this very important matter. It is indeed a top priority agenda that should be on the table for more brain storming before our heroes go back home and face the unwanted and before it is too late. I wonder if our leaders have planned for a temporary substitute of the leadership to avoid any possible power vacume like last time and also to prevent similar mess up like the KIL & KIS thing in case something happens to them by the Arat Killo Hyenas.
CUD democratic leaders have always been the product of the collective voice of the greatest majority of Ethiopians. When leaders born out of the unision voice of the overwhelming majority of Ethiopians, there will be nothing to stop them from marching towards a democratic Ethiopia holding hand in hand with the mighty Ethiopians.
Whether the election is today or tomorrow, it is known that Ethiopians will win and Woyanne fascist regime will positively lose.
victory is in the hand of millions of Ethiopia!!
Three things TPLF scared of, AFD and HR2003 and in fact the empowerment of our people!!
