O.N.L.F. statement on opening of U.N. offices in Ogaden

Ogaden National Liberation Front

The Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) welcomes the decision of the United Nations to resume humanitarian activities in Ogaden which had been halted due to the blockade imposed by the Ethiopian regime led by the Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF). Despite this welcome announcement, it remains to be seen whether the TPLF regime will allow the United Nations to operate in a free and unfettered manner in Ogaden. The TPLF regime is still unjustly paranoid of international humanitarian organizations as demonstrated by the fact that it continues to deny the ICRC access to the Ogaden.

It is indeed an unfortunate irony that the same innocent people the United Nations intends to resume feeding continue to be killed by the TPLF regimes armed forces as they execute their genocidal policy in Ogaden. As such the ONLF also calls upon the United Nations to expedite the constitution of the UN fact finding team to investigate human rights abuses in line with the recommendations made by the recent humanitarian assesment mission to Ogaden.

It is only through a four pronged approach of lifting the ban on international journalists, protecting civilians from the regimes armed forces, resuming and increasing humanitarian assistance and seeking a comprehensive political settlement to the Ogaden conflict through an internationally mediated dialogue that the plight of the people of Ogaden can be best addressed.

  1. Elias,

You can express all the solidarity you want with the terrorist organization ONLF, but the brave TPLF fighters are wiping them off from the face of Ogaden. In two months there will not be any ONLF to speak of. By the way, you master Isayas will soon meet his maker and you will left naked. You are a piece of SHIT who always wants attention.

  2. Amoraw and Tesfa,ONLF is better than the savage TPLF led by the sadistic and ruthless Meles.Don`t attack Elias for telling the truth about the real nature of your TPLF.You,Woyanne cadres can not handle the truth and the people of the horn led by the brave ONLF are fighting back.Elias is just a messenger telling it like it is.

  3. Amoraw and Tesfish,

Do you remember HAWZEN ? Do you think Ogaden people are subhuman as your masters think ? Offcoures yes you are made by your master who betrayed the Tigray people and decieves his people to be honest .GORORO ZEWIHTO EID YIFELTO/ GUroro yemiwutewn eji yawkewal.I know you what you eat/do.

  4. Dear Amoraw do you still continue supporting the wayanes?Don’t you have mind? Are you still going to kill the ONLF fighters? Why? Did you remember why the TPLF were fighiting for more than 17 years? That means for nothing. Nort for the freedom Or Democracy. You are such kind of Bull.please ttry to think in your mind rather than using your muscles.
    Bull shit///

  5. Elias,
“…heartfelt solidarity with ONLF”???? Come on, you are better than that. I totaly disagree with you. If your support is based on the “enemy of my enemy is my friend” you are absolutely wrong. It is a very unprincipled stand. I encourage you to reconsider your support. You are full of contradiction also – on the one hand you support the peaceful and nationalist struggle of CUDP, and on the other hand you support the secessionist armed struggle of the terrorist ONLF. Your political position seems to emanate from the hatered you have for TPLF, though God knows, there are a lot of things one is warranted to hate of what they are doing. We need to learn from the CUDP leaders who have time and again said they do not hate anyone but are only against their wrong deeds. Yes, I do condemn TPLF’s massacre of innocent Ethiopian Somalis in the name of fighting the terrorist ONLF. This, however, does not make ONLF any better than TPLF, but if there is any connection they are of the same breed when it comes to human rights. ONLF has never even preteneded to be an Ethiopian let alone fighting for the cause of Ethiopians. It is not a democratic organization fighting for democracy either. Therefore it does not deserve any support from anyone who stands for democracy and human rights. It is a TERRORIST organization supported by governments and organizations of like ilk. This is one of the reasons why AFD got nowhere and is hanging in the twilight zone.

  6. The problem is TPLF and its murderous policy in Ethiopia and not ONLF!!! TPLF has problems with every group in Ethiopia!!! Good job ONLF!!!! Your language (violence) is the only thing these TPLF dummies understand!!!

  7. Throughout the history of Ethiopia smallest ethnic group run and dominate the political and economic system of ethiopia, but unlike any past regimes, Woyane is not hiding their ethnic domination. For the long run this is very good as each ethnic group in Ethiopia is having deep understanding about the past and present regimes and that we lead to us all to demand our rights.

If this current regime does not leave the political sysytem, the very existance of ethiopia will be in question and unlike any other african country, ethiopia will exist as countless ethnic and religion group in habit the land knows as Ethiopia.
