Ato Elias, … I am confused with this audio .The first 10 min of the audio was a recorded interview of Shaleqa Yousef without an introduction.
I knew it because I listened Shaleqa’s original interview.Please clarify. Thanks,

I congratulate you for having succeeded in making the auditor Ato Tesfaye pronounce the word “embezelement” with regards to more than 1.2 million dollars of public money by an Association. This clears both yourself and ER of the role as a “tabloid” with regards to this public money. Nevertheless, Ato Tesfaye failed to clarify the following points.
1. He claims to have access to accounts of the Association as far back as four years old and more. This implies that these acounts functioned before Kinijt was established and thus public money continued to be deposited in these accounts before & after Kinijit. It seems he has a problem with this situation. However he does not clarify if his problem is related to the non creation of separate accounts at the time of establishment of Kinijit or if his problem is related to self enrichment or corruption or embezelement of public money???
2. He claims that Dr Mogus of KIL withdrew some 30000 usd from one of these accounts at the time of establishment of KIL. This implies that, even before establishment of KIL, Dr Mogus had direct access to some or all of the accounts of the Association and he even had authority to withdraw such big lump sums from one or the other accounts of the Association. I thus fail to undersand why the auditor points his finger only at Shaleqa Yoseph and why he files only accusations of tax evasion and not of “embezelement”??
3. He claims he is a certified auditor with the right of access to the accounts of any one including that of George Bush. Accordingly he had had 14 months time and thus is in a strong position to say if the public money is there or not. Given his status, it is not good enough nor sufficient that he tells us rather ambiguiously that “the money COULD still be there but it is not in the name of Kinijit and thus, it is tantamount to embezelement”. I don’t buy this kind of crap. I am not misled at all by his ambiguity because I know for sure that it is very very easy to read through the accounts and differentiate pre-kinijit transactions from post-kinijit transactions.
CONCLUSION
What interests the public is to know whether public money has been used for personl use repeat for personal use and if yes how much? and by whom??? Ato Tesfaye has failed in this regard.
As for the rest, I conclude that money collected from the public after the establsihment of Kinijit has been added to money previously collected from the same public. I thus call upon Ato Hailu Shawel not to differeniate public money as pre and post Kinijit and to dedicate the totality to advance Kinijit’s objectives in Ethiopia.

Contrary to what you claimed what Ato Tesfaye said, he claimed the 5th (rightfully so) when asked about the details of any bank statement. Just so you know, President Bush is a public figure and as such, his wealth and yearly tax filings are public to you too if you know where to find them. I just did and very much surprised.
Ato Hailu is a great man. The problem he got into now is because of Shaleka. I think the saying that say’s “Lam esat welda… endatetewew lejwa andatelesew esat honebat” fits here.
