  1. Hi Elias,

Hey, what else do you expect from a bunch of loosers? I think we should put all of them in a nursing home. I will pay for it and save our movement for democracy from these stupid diehards who are suffering from age complex and nostaliga for a dynasty and a kingdom.

They are working hard to turn Hailu Showel into King Hailu Showel until his money runs out. This will not happen except in their dreams. In the mean time, they can play king and queen like little children just to pass time in their last days until it is all over within a few years.

  2. Thank you ETN, you did what you suppose to do, bring information for the public. hope people understand media is good for everybody and help us choose the right one. I just did that.

  3. Sunday’s drama was brought to you by Solomon Bekele (Bekete) in cordination the Shaleqa thugs, Merchaw Seneshaw (Abiyoy Tebaki), and the EPRP dead fellows. They managed to raise over $100,000 all by pedges the Solomon Bekele’s way and it was done by gving false names and address to steal the even from the thieves. They will never collect no more than $5,000 from the unemployed EPRP members all of whom get social security checks from the U.S. government. Shawel must be ashemed of himself by declaring to work with EPRP aka Hebret.

Listen to the audio again carefully. The unemployed Ezana has contributed 800 euro. His name was mensioned three times. Fake meeting.

  5. Aye Hailu Shawel, siyalk ayamer ale.

And this is the same guy who went to Congress in support of HR2003? what a hypocrite!

Better yet does Mesfen Mekonen knows HR2003 is for freedom of press in addition to many other things? These are the type of people Hailu Shawel associating himself with?

As far as I am concerned Hailu Shawel is no more Kinijit.

    Shame Shame Shame!

  6. Talk about dictatorship………….

Is this the right Hailu showel who preaches democracy and yet fail to practice it. Is he really the kind of person whom become the next president of our beloved Country?

I’m having a hard time to differentiate between meles, mengistu and Hailu showel. They all are nothing but dictators. For some reason I have had some sort of hope that someday Hailu would come back to his senses and join the rest of the CUD members. Unfortunately that dream of mine won’t come true. Sad but true

I just have to put myself together and move on….

May the Almighty God Save our beloved Ethiopia from a bunch of vultures.

  7. Yeah: My brother was in the meeting and was working with them undercover…let me tell you the fact. As far as money concern ….for get about it. What money…Ato Hailu shawal was almost exchanging insult with shalka because he promised him larger crowed …i am telling u the fact..

Another information you all have to know is that there were people who attended the meeting of shaleka from Weyanee side ..by supporting Shaleka and his Mafia group the sure is the way to destroy Kingit.. for their surprise it would be hard for them to do that ..but nice try though!!

  8. For all my brothers and sisters out there …you have seen the drama so far..Enginer want no unity ,,,he showed how mafia he can be..He show no concern for us or 4 80ml ppl for that matter. So what’s next??????????

if u ask me …time for him to resign!

we have enogh of his bullshit…funny thing about this dud is that he was telling us how he could not use public media to reach out people …now he is the one telling us that we could not use public media to get our info…hum..wired if u think about it…PPL…We have our share of Dictators ;I don’t think we have the stomach for another one…

  9. The fact that ETN was denied full access at the meeting does not bid well for the future of freedom of speech. If the meeting has been recorded, an uncensored uncut copy of the whole meeting should be available to the public through ETN. As “addis” above has pointed out, suporting HR2003 on one hand but denying a news network access to a meeting of the public in the United States on the other indeed smacks of HYPOCRISY. Somebody at the HS group should give an explanation and also do some corrective action immediately. Or else, this action may be the beginning of the undoing of any democratic credentials that the HS group might want to claim.

  10. It is time to let go this old crooked, selfish Hailu Shawel behind and move on. He showed the level of care that he has for Ethiopian people and democracy. He thinks it is all about him but not the people. He refuses to solve the problem with discussion. Let him to go and move forward.

  11. The action of the meeting organizers to deny access to ETN is absolutely wrong at this time of controversy, but it is not violation of press right. The meeting organizers has the right to allow or deny access to any or selected media. The ETN can only inform the viewers that it was denied acces and unable to cover the meeting, period.Let’s not lable HAilu shawl as monster, and the meeting as illegal or corrupt .To my opinion Hailu and his company are still innocent untill Kingit leaders issue an official statement.Let’s allow the elected leaders to resolve this problem themselves, they are far more better people than all of us.

  12. Bibyam, look this is a public gathering, not a private party. Neither is this a party organized for specific members of a party. This is a public meeting, the public without any distinction was invited to the gathering, and accordingly the public media like ETN should be given free access to cover the news at such public meeting. You can deny them if the public was not invited at large, which is not the case here. f the public without any precondition is invited, the public media must be given free access. Even the very fact that Benyam you are trying to defend smacks of hypocrisy. The HS group should apologize publicly for this violation of press freedom. This does not bid well for the future of press freedom if the country comes under the grip of the Hailu Shawel group. They Hailu Shawel group has no moral superiority to demand similar press freedom elsewhere. The Hailu Shawel group has no moral superiority to demand that HR 2003 be passed. It has to immediately make a statement apologizing for this violation of press freedom.

  13. Thanks to one more dreadful mistake of Hailu Shawel and his team mates. We are learning your true colors as time goes by. “Gize mestawot new”, as the saying goes. Sooner or later, we will also learn your demise. After all, each and every dreadful thing you are doing these days is a blessing in disguise to the Ethiopian people.”Saydegis aytalam”. Ethiopian people shall wait and see what fate is holding for us all. Not you, of course.

Our desires will prevail. Truth shall win!
