Hailu Shawel to face angry protestors in Washington

The estranged chairman of Kinijit, Ato Hailu Shawel, will travel to Washington DC this coming weekend to attend a public meeting organized by the Shaleqa-Taye group. Several Ethiopians who believe that this meeting has an anti-Kinijit purpose have met last night to discuss what actions to take. Participants include representatives of youth, civic, and media groups.

Last night’s meeting has decided to organize a protest rally outside the Renaissance Hotel (999 9th Street, Washington DC) where the Shaleqa public meeting will take place on Sunday, Oct. 14, starting at 2 PM.

The peaceful protest will challenge Ato Hailu to respect Kinijit’s democratic principles. It will demand that the Shaleqa group return the funds they diverted from the party. The protest will also ask Taye Woldesemayat to stop his illegal activities through his group, the KIC (keysi).

It will be the first Ethiopian protest in Washington DC against an opposition leader. It is a result of the frustration and anger of the Ethiopian community at not only the massive corruption on the part of Shaleqa Yoseph Yazew and cohorts, but also Ato Hailu Shawel’s recent dictatorial behavior and his attempt to cover up the Shaleqa’s corruption at the expense of the whole Kinijit movement.

Between today and Sunday, various statements will be issued by the group that is organizing Sunday’s protest.

The group, while acknowledging and respecting the right of every individual to attend meetings, urges all Ethiopians who are working to develop a genuinely democratic culture in our society to stand up against dictatorship and corruption by boycotting the anti-Kinijit meeting on Sunday in Washington DC.

  1. I personally believe Hailu Shawel is irresponsible. He let down his party and the members. After all they suffered together at the prison and they should fight together for the popular struggle to free their country. The guy is very arrogent and childish. When I heard his interview I was wondering how he was chosen to be a chairman. He said that “the appology of Bertukan was not from her heart it’s just a show off to the people at the meeting” That was none sense. It is embaressing to hear that from an adult and a chairman it’s “tera alubalta”Let me tell you some thing God is trying to show us that this man is not capable to lead his party.I have a question.Don’t the part has a rule to discipline a member when they act so silly like him. This is what I don’t understand of we Ethiopians. We are talking about Democracy but when somebody act unDemocratically we tolerate that person. We have so many devoted Democrats, like Bertukan,Berhanu,Hailu,Shewangezaw etc.How dare he broke his words to his coliques rather his brothers and sisters and colaberate with people who have been accused damaging the party.I wish I lived in Dc I would be the first woman on the demonstration. I got so immotional.Elias Good job!

  2. We all have to condemn this coming meeting in Washington D.C.
I am very disappoinated by Eng. Hailu decision to be part of the
Shaleqqaa Group. The Shaleqqaa CAN to go to “TORE MEDDAA” if he wants
to fight with anybody and He has to stop his childish game after this.
    Enough is Enough.

  3. Eng.Hailu should use the meeting he called in Washington on the 14th of October not to adress it alone but to be with his Kinijit sister and brothers.I think the people love to see him publicly greet, warmly shake hands with and lovingly embrace his comrades showing that he has what it takes to be a good leader. There he must stand shoulder to shoulder with them demonstrating to friend and foe alike that Kinjit still shines despite the recent hiccup.

I sicerely believe that there is no other any other way for Eng.Hailu.

  4. I think this is the naked truth please READ IT!!!

A comment on Ing. Hailu Shawel’s interview with VOA

By Neamin Zeleke / October 10,2007

For a Chairman of a major opposition organization like CUD who keeps on telling the interviewer that the problems in CUD are “minor”, I expected a message that is expected of a real and selfless leader, one who is visionary and very sensitive to the pain and suffering, the hope and aspiration of the people of Ethiopia in this trying times where our people have not yet recovered from the pain and trauma unleashed from the onslaught throughout Ethiopia by the TPLF mafia regime during and in the aftermath of the 2005 election.
Indeed a leader cognizant and very sensitive to all these would take a very careful choice of words and the message they convey especially one that is being aired to millions in Ethiopia.

I have now concluded that the situation is hopeless, not because there is a fundamental political difference, as the chairman himself admits even in his latest interview with VOA. But because people are incapable and unable to handle “minor contradictions” with wisdom, magnanimity, far sightedness, and tactfulness that puts the national agenda and the promise made to the people of Ethiopia, refusing the temptation to make judgement based on perceived or real wound to one’s ego, honor…this and that.

Unfortunately it is very tempting to once and for all conclude that this generation of Ethiopians are not blessed to have the visionary, wise, magnanimous, real leaders who can see beyond their nose. It looks like that the split in CUD is invariable not due to major political differences, but due to inability and incapacity to handle minor and secondary contradictions wisely and with tact among the ranks of those in the leadership. And add to that all the fuel to the fire that has been pouring on and on by those interest groups with narrow agenda who stand to loose much if the problem within the ranks of the CUD leaders are resolved.

I think all efforts made so far for mediation and reconciliation have gone down the drain because of the Chairman’s too harsh accusatory and unfair utterances against his colleagues and tone of the chairman of CUD in his latest interview gave to VOA.

  5. Good. I wish I were in DC. I think all supporters of kinijit were blinded how weak politician Eng Hailu was. Dont you remember hard talk in BBC? He was a shame for most of us. But supported because we should hoping kinijit is democratic.
Now it is time to say “A spade is a spade” not a time to say “A spade is an Axe”. we were fooled enough.
I think people with sane mind can easily judge him by now. BUT HE MUST BE TOLD in UNMISTAKABLE LANGUAGE HE IS A DICTATOR.

  6. I still think that we should be able to give peace a chance before we start calling Ato Hailu Shawel all kind of names. Why is that we resort to name calling? Why is that Ethiopians do not have the courtesy to give each other the benefit of the doubt. Let’s not condemn Ato Hialu, who everyone considered a hero until a month ago…. Everything he has done so far should not go by the wayside. Much is expected from “moderators” like Mr. Elias. They need to be the peace makers than agitators. We need to be respectful of others’ opinions. Resolute in our thinking, yet intellectually honest, politically astute and forward thinking. Those of us who have lived here in the U.S. for many years should have learned so much from the American political system. Name calling would not help achieve our goal. In fact, it only shows how immature, incapable and intolerant we are. Please, be measured in you comments. Let’s help these people solve their problem. Taking side and bashing each other will only make the situation worse. The bad elements in Kinijit, will soon or later find their way out.

    Be kind and patient.

    EG

  7. I wan to hear the other side, it is still very difficult for me to believe that a hero person who faced the dictator and opened the door for democratic movement will fail for such a trap !

  8. This is a tough one! Ato Hailu’s interview on VOA disappointed me greatly. I hope that he will use the opportunity at the DC meeting to rectify the inappropriate remarks that he made at the interview. I also hope that he will distance himself from the KIC corrupt mafia by denouncing their action publicly. He should also consider resigning his CUDP chairmanship honorably if he thinks his health is in poor condition. He should put ETHIOPIA FIRST

  9. I have one question for Eng. Hailu

He said Kinijit leaders (Deligate Vs. Hailu) will solve their differrences after returning to Ethiopia by organizing a meeting. On the contrary he also said it is impossible to organize a meeting in Ethiopia due to weyane’s regulation.

So Why don’t he discuss the issue while they are in US? if not….how is he going to organize a meeting in Ethiopia?

Some one who will attend the meeting should ask him for the sake of clearing problems inside kinijit.

  10. To Mahlet (comment 33 above):
You thought Meles is better that Hailu Shawl.
Well, I think you are comparing apple and orange. While Hailu Shawl displayed some weaknesses in his judgement, Meles is a totalitarian and murderer to the nth degree and there is no comparison. Just in case you didn’t know, this is an in-house discussion. Soul-searching, so to speak.

    To EG (comment 57 above):
    I totally agree with you!
I think that should be the final word. Thank you EG!

    Sincerely,
    Ajirea

  11. Well,by now everything is made clear by ato Hailu. There is an English proverb that says “actions speak louder than words.” Actually Eng Hailu spoke his mind on various media.I learned from him dirctly. It is appropirate to disassociate ourselves from the betryal for the benefit of millions of poor citizens.Let that group know what we want on Sunday.See you there.

    Thank you.

  12. I agree with EG in urging the use of temperate language and tolerating behaviour. It is so deamining to witness all these.
One should be able to disagree with tact, balance and dignity.

Ato hailu for all his defects, has done a great deal for the struggle. He has sacrificed a lot for it including his imprisonment and his deteriorating health. No body should take away that from him. He should still be revered for that.On the other hand, his recent errant behaviour need to criticized with out being called all sorts of names. One need not go back to past to find “evidence” for his current clearly unwise behaviour.Still, should rightly be shown the wrongness of his ways and put under pressure to work with his other kinjit friends.

This GIRGIR..or tumoult is avidly watched by Woyane and supporters. They read and hear every utterance with abated
breath.Ofcource, they “leave comments” in here too to add more to the confusion in order to fish in troubled waters.

If Ato Hailu is a humble, astute and authentic leader of the people, he can use the coming Washington meeting to calm the agitated water,so to speak. He can blot out all the recent blemish and write a new chapter by showing his solidarity with his Dr berhanu,Bertukan,Dr hailu, Gizachew,Beruk..and others.

Other wise,he might commit an extremely tragic mistake with a possiblity of unceremoniously bowing out of the struggle. If that were to happen, what a sad end!!

I pray therefore to God that this does not happen and Ato Hailu is given all the guidance he needs from above.May the Lord show him the true path!

  13. I have a good suggestion,
    1. All the KINIJIT members and the leadrship must apologize to the people of ETHIOPIA for electing such a MORON as a Chairman in the first place.

    2. They should promise us that any such absurd and dictator will not be in a position of power. Simply put, investigate the background before electing.

  15. I don’t think a public protest serves any good. Let’s just make our point by boycotting the meeting. We already know that Ato Hailu is working aganist Kinijit (Its name and existance). Let’s just move on without him. Let history judge Ato Hailu. He has already done a lot of damage. Ever since his arrival all discusions were around him. We have lost an invaluable time and oppurtunity of addressing other important matter.

  16. I am a busy person and didnot know why Shaleqa’s name is mentioned as enemy and Eng. Hailu’s name is associated with him. Can anyone tell me what happened. Last time I checked about the theft issue I haven’t seen anyone’s report how much money was missing? Who audited it? Why is it the rest of the people don’t know about the amount?
If there is no hard fact why are we fanning and helping the Woyane cause?

  18. Thank you Elias
I am disappointed with Hailu Shawe, he’s suppose to be with the CUD.I HOPE HAILU WEAK UP AND DO SOMETING BEFORE HE GO DOWN. we have to give Hailu a clear message.Washington keep up the good job.

  19. Let Hailu Shawel Speak Freely!

An unnamed group has urged Ethiopians not to attend the Sunday meeting in Washington DC where Kinijit Chairman Engineer Hailu Shawel will have his first public appearance. Calling for boycott or having a protest match are rights. But In this case, it is (a) unacceptable bullying, and (b) counter-productive.

The five Kinijit delegates have had meetings all over the United States peacefully. There were no marches, and the calls to boycotts were only made by fringe groups on Ethiopian media with very small readership. The chairman should be allowed to have meetings of his choice, and voice his opinions about the party and Ethiopia freely. Those with legitimate questions can attend the meetings and challenge his views. In the past few weeks, the differences in the Kinijit leadership, the issues that led to those differences, and the style and substance of the leaders have been laid bare partially. The more Hailu or the others speak, the more we know about them. It is then up to us to make the choice

  20. I think Hailu Shawel needs to know that people are unhappy with him. He should know that he did not show any leadership quality atleast since his arrival to the U.S. We know that he is the Chairman of Kinijit for now but people will think twice before they will elect him to any leadership position in the future. I can not imagine a future Ethiopian leader refusing to talk to his people, refusing to negotiate and refusing to talk to legislaters simply because they disagree with him. Some people explained his absence due to poor health but even then he should give explanation that he is in the U.S. tor treatment and not on official business of Kinijit. Hailu Shawel needs to explain his behavior to his supporters and to the Ethiopian people at large. I am glad that this meeting will take place finally so that people will be able to ask him questions and get explanations from him.

  21. Elias,
Excellent job. In my opionion, Eng. Hailu is a hard headed individual who does not know his own well being in polical sense. It is unfortunate, he is surrounded by bad guys. It is fair to let him know that he is damanging Kinijit by preaching dictatorship agaist Kinijit manefesto. It is right to make a peaceful demonstration on October 14 against his meeting. However, we have to make sure that KIC (organizator) is illegal; Shalequa Yoseph, Taye, Moges Bruk and gangs are thiefs. At this point, it would be good thing not to attack him personally. What is ok to give him a political awareness that what he is doing is wrong but let us give him respect for the sake of his contributions in the past for Kinijit. Let us not give up on him and give him the second chance to recuperate his mind.

  22. Before I give my opinion on the upcoming public meeting organized by the Shaleqa-Taye group on October 14, can anyone tell me if invitations have been made to the rest of the delegates of Kinijit who are here? If so, what was their response?

  23. TO MERON # 73 . You missed a big point…. The organizers stole a million dollar from us . May be you didn’t give a penny to Kinjit before.
We are not supporting Hailu because he is associating himself with those embezzlers, who stole 1.2 million from Kinjit fund. Keleba gare yegeteme leba newe ::

Everyone who lives close to DC has to come to show your sadness by any means. We have to work hard to get the stolen money back from Shaleka, Taye and Hailu of course.

  24. Meron, you put it correct. stopping ppl from coming to the meeting is not a right way to democracy!!

    Let Enginer speak his mind.
My ppl plz just go and listen this is all about democracy !!!

  25. Dear Ethiopians in the Dc area Do not be fooled by the idea that you should attend the meeting by the organized by the tugs. They are going to report that this much # of people attended the meeting and it was a big success…bla bla bla….Do not attend the meeting .That is my view. Hailu Shawel and his groups have given us deaf ears to all our cry and there is no reason to waste our time. listening to criminals who already ignored the peoplo’s call for reconciliation period does not make sense. The protest must go with anger, but with Ethiopiawenet manner and a speedy investigation must start about the fund they embezzeled period.”Balegen Balege kalalut yeferut yemeslewal”

  26. The bottom line is Hailu Shawel is exposed to lack a leadership quality. He is an angry despot (refer to his interview to Swiss Paltalk, VOA and few others) and he is distorting facts at will and lying from one interview to the other. He can continue, as he seems to be already planning, with a creation of a new party and have a good time being surrounded and praised with his cliques.

But he should realize one thing- He will never find the Ethiopian elites, at least the majority, (the educated and the young) on his side any more. The Ethiopian elite which was by and large a by-stander to Ethiopian politics after EPRP and until 2005 has been motivated and came closer to politics because of people like Berhanu Nega, Dr. Befkadu Degfe, Professor Mesfin, Dr. Yacob, etc. and not because of Hailu or his AAPO converted to AEUP.

Hailu/AEUP may enjoy extensive support from the Amhara, in particular Shewa Amhara, which he tried to reach them even on a horse back, we are told, in the run up to the 2005 election. But nothing more.

When I hear Mr. Hailu’s repeated overzealous and swift statement saying that the party (CUD) will not split, is really something that exhibits naivity. The party is no more one. He is going his way, with his Shaleka, Taye, Bedru and most of the AEUP entourage and others will never re-join him unless he repents for his dictatorial and feudal lord type behaviour that has manifested itself recently.

  27. If you follow the truth you can win the hearts and minds of firends and enemies at the end of the day.

Hailu doesn’t follow truth, he follows his friends and personal motives.

He cannot win the minds of his friends (other kinijit leaders) and finally he CANNOT win Meles.

Meles can simply throw him to jail and he can’t come out.

  28. This is a country where embezzlers, when found doing it, are prosecuted to the fullest of law. How come these embezzlers are roaming free and still in possession of the rest of the fund? Why? Unless we hear the results or at least the latest from the concerned government agencies, this accusation won’t add up. This tradition of dipping hands in the coffers of idirs(community mutual) goes a long way back home. In all such funds we do not have a well streamlined checks and balances system. The tradition of ‘business is business’ does not exist. Trust, once bestowed on some one, is not supposed to be tested or questioned. That is our long-standing tradition. If these people really squandered over a million US dollars for their own private use, well where were the auditors and rest of the contributing members? I would like to know the position of the whistle blowers and when they found out these alleged embezzlement. Was there such check and balance clause in the by-laws of the organization? What is these individuals’ response to the accusations? They have to be given a day in court to answer for that. Remember..You can not claim to champion human rights if you deny anyone such a right, even an alleged criminal until he/she is found guilty in a court of law and order. These individuals have to be given the same opportunity on this very platform and elsewhere to explain where the alleged million plus US dollars went (used). If this is not done, everyone who is clamoring here is an empty barrel just feasting on frustrated minds and emotions of compatriots like me. Lebas waiting for the opportunity to do the same. Am I wrong??

  29. Ato Hailu’s trust on individuals like Prof. Getachewu Haile, Shaleqa Yoseph Yazew, Dr. Efrem Alemayehu and Ato Bishu Mamo of Torono is costing him very much. I understand that he had acceptable reason/s to have faith in those individuals’ credibility prior to his incareceration; but he was supposed to learn what they have been doing immeidately after the leaders’ incarceration up until now if he want to know the TRUTH rather than simply maintaining his earlier trust alive on them. These people and their few corrupted collaborators after the leaders incarceration were simply using his good name for their own advantages during the past two years, they never respected his sacrifices, they never worked for his Causes, they never advocated for his release, they wished him the unthinkable, they just wanted the fruit of his sacrifices at the expense of his reputation and the integreity of the party, they scandaled tax payers money, they conspired with the CIA recruited eprpites, they were defaming good personalities of Kinijit who did a lot for the struggle and earned respect by the people, they were trying all their best to disunite Kinijit, ……..they have written garbges and so and so forth.

Even after the Engineers’ release from Kaliti, the so called reliable friends of Ato Hailu pursued their evil motives, to succeed in their conspiratory they decided to hijack Hailu from his truthful and helpful collegues, they sabotaged to highlight differences with in Kinijit leadership, they misinformed the leader about the past two years activities in NA, they disinformed him about the realities on the ground, almost managed to kidnapped him and denied him access from learning the other side of the story and sharing with the medias, they are still trying all their best to succeed in their manipulation, distructive mission and unacceptable way, they want to send him back home as mentally wounded and having hatred against his own collegues.

Therefore, we must try once and for all to isolate the Kinijit leader Hailu Shoul from his unhealthy alliance with the wrong people. He is our leader not theirs, we are his true followers not them, if he choose to stay with them after having been informed of its consequence and regardless of our keen adivices, then he certainly will pay the invitable bitter consequence as a result of his wrong choice.

Last but not list, foxs please don’t undermine the evil doers in Toronto, they are the one who conspired with the shaleqa group from the beginning itself, they are the one who created confusion and managed to divide KIL leadreship, they are the one who helped Taye become chairman of KIC, they are the one who opposed AFD together with eprp, they are the one who supported the invasion of somalia by woyane, they are the one who manipulated the Ethiopian Association in toronto to their own group advantage and conciously damaged the kinijit movement in Canada by hijacking the Ethiopian Radio in Toronto which were doing commendable service for the struggle, they are the one who first went to court inorder to sue their own brothers claiming the logo of kinijit as their own property…. Every one should know the fact that the real enemies of Ato Hailu Sahoul who have been hiding themselves in shadow and pretending as if supporters of him while they infact are his enemies are now living in Toronto. They must be exposed to the public sooner than later,

Liers and criminals should be exposed every where they are,

    Kinijit remaines intacted,

    Victory for the Ethiopian people,

    Yours,

    Toronto

  30. The right decision on the right time. Eng hailu has committed a political adultary[ politcal sucide]. The central committe of kinijit assigned him as a leader of the delegation in usa. but he told me he needs a medical treatement for his sickness. for that reason , the committes assigned judge Birtukan medikassa as aleader of the delegation and i am sure the delegates are doing kinijit’s job successfully. If eng ahilu is sick , he must stop giving his destructive interview against kinijits’ leaders and against democratical principles and follow his intenstive medical care.Based on his interviews all weyanes’ medias, eng hailu has still a mental problem, that is whyhe contradicated himself in all his interviews, if he has a mental problem , he is un fit to lead a country like ethiopia and a popular party like kinijit. Our ppl have paid the highest price in their life , many of our ppl are jailed, tortued or are living in exile because of kinijit. so we should not allow those feudal reminants under the leadership of shaleqa and EPR’S agent taye to kill our ppl’s party. Eng hailu has no legal right to participate in any meeting separately in the name of kinijit. At this point melese a less dictator than democracy’s activist atse hailu. this is wht we call it folk in sheep’s skin. eng hailu doen’t have any idea about democratical principles or what include kinijits’ eight points, it is very intersting, eng hailu said in one of his interviews, i do not remeber in which interview, because he has given so many interviews with in a short time everywhere,” hr 2003 is not good for ethiopia” the question should be here, is really this man in his mind? HR 2003 includes all kinijits’ eight points. is really eng hailu is working for weyane or for the ppl who have voted to him? so all democratical forces must stand together and pritect our ppl’s party from feudal’s reminats. we should not allow all these criminals to kill our country’s future bright future. kinijit is ethiopia’s ppl party at home . so eng hailu should try to manipulate our party, it is not his consultan’s office, stand up against our new dictator as we did before for the reasement of our leaders from qality. eng hailu will be responsible all the financial affairs starting from AAPO, AEUP and now CUD , he has given a green light to all his corrupted friends to misuse kinijit’s fund. we need all clarifications from AAPO, AEUP and CUD. eng hailu must clear him self. ethiopia’s soil will never accept any kind of dictator. down with all dictators who are in democracy’s skin

  31. Elias,

I know you have been doing a tremendous and outstanding job the last couple of months. First you unmasked ShaleQa Yosef and his corrupt schemes and that of his lackeys like Moges Brook and a certain unemployed DeTUR that I would like to forget. Then you championed the cause of democratic principles by putting your entire clout and prestige behind the true son’s and daughter of Ethiopia, the true representatives of the ‘Kinijit Spirit’ and I am sure Ethiopians are grateful.

Now that said, I have to disagree with you about boycotting Hailu Shawl. The old man has done more damage to himself than any sworn nemesis could have done to him. His infrequent but sporadic outbursts in PalTalk and questionable media like Mirchaw’s were really pathetic to say the least. If anything, this is one time that I wish I was in DC, because I would have liked to pay my respects for all that he has done so far and ask him a couple of questions like:

    1. Why did he not come to the US with the rest of the delegates? When he did come, why didn’t he coordinate his arrival with the ‘TRIO’ that was officially delegated for this task? Why didn’t he synch his itinerary with the rest of his colleagues? Upon arrival, as a leader, why didn’t he seek out the whereabouts of the ‘airport-absent’ delegates for a meeting to plan their US itinerary together?

    2. What right has he got (now all CUDP executives are out of jail) to appoint the likes of Dr. Taye as head of Kinijit in NA and a researcher? And where is the Kinijit Research Center in the US by the way?

    3. As a leader of the NA delegation, why did he fail to show up in the DC town Hall Meeting? Boston? Bay Area? Dallas? Las Vegas? Seattle? Los Angeles?

    4. Why is the chairman having a solo town meeting in DC when his colleagues are in Atlanta doing Kinijit work?

    5. Is the chairman sick? If he is sick, then why did he fail to endorse the mission of the remaining five delegates? Does the chairman think that the affairs of Ethiopia should be kept in a suspended animation while he, the Kinijit Chairman is incapacitated and convalescing in a hospital bed?

By the way I completely agree with the views of Belay Zeleke.

    Respectfully,

    -Surafel

  32. If Mr. Hailu wants to be challenged and be asked of questions and hear our concerns , THE MEETING SHOULD BE FREE. WE DO NOT TRUST THE SHALQA GROUP. LET IT BE FREE SO THAT WE WONT HAVE TO PROTEST, SO THAT WE CAN GO INSIDE AND ASK ALL THE QUESTIONS AND CRY OUR HEART OUT TO HIM.

LET THE MEETING BE FREE, ASURE US THAT SHALQA WOULD NOT TOUCH IT BY MAKING IF FREE.

    FREE $000 VS PROTEST

  33. ” 8= Eng Hailu will not speak against Shaleka & CO. Because, this is a 1.2 Million Dollar Question he can’t explain in public.”

Belay Zeleke your #8 is the most important, poignant subject for the chairman to handle.
The person who opted to go to prison just to years ago to bring democracy in Ethiopia, today strongly stand behind crooks who embezzle + $ 1 000,000 peoples’ money.
I recall his favorite message from Ethiopia while in prison ” TECHACHILACHHU SERU ” I guess meaning ” ……… BELU”.
I’m afraid he is been blackmailed and voluntarily taken hostage by the group because of his involvement with these old bodies’ of him.
No chance left to him than to abandon his colleague in the party consequently his country and his people.

    why?????????? follow the money?

    very sad if conformed

  34. Mr Hailu Shawel repetedly during interviews on different medias is intertaining the idea of changing Kinijit’s name.My suggestion is let him have his own party with new name together with his friends and famillys. The rest of us will stay with the one and only kinigit and our true leaders.

  35. They(KIC) have a right to meet and discuss issues surrounding them. So why oppose their meeting?
It isn’t democratic to go against them. Let’s wait and hear the story from the other side as well.
