Eritrean authorities are reporting that yesterday morning, January 1st 2010, several soldiers under the Woyanne regime in Ethiopia launched attacks on Eritrean forces at Zalambesa.
The Woyanne forces were driven back after 10 of their soldiers were killed and two captured. They left behind six AK-47 automatic rifles, a machine gun and communication equipments, according to Eritrean Ministry of Information’s shabait.com.
Meanwhile, Reuters is reporting that two Eritrean rebel groups said on January 1st they have killed 25 Eritrean government soldiers and wounded at least 38 others in ambushes on two military camps.
Rebel spokesman Yasin Mohamed said the attacks by the Red Sea Afar Democratic Organization (RSADO) and the Eritrean Salvation Front (ESF) rebels were in retaliation for the repression of the Afar minority and others by the government.
“The joint forces earlier today, made a surprise attack at the camp of 13 sub-division of the 2nd brigade at the vicinity of Kokobay, killed 13 and wounded 20 others,” Yasin said.
He said a separate attack killed 12 members of an intelligence unit and wounded 18 others in Kermeti area.
Three years ago around the same time, U.S. Ambassador Jendayi Frazer, against the strong advise other U.S. officials, had encouraged the Woyanne junta to invade Somalia, which resulted in the slaughtering of 20,000, and displacement of 2 million Somali civilians. Now, the new Obama Administration Ambassador, Dr Susan Rice, gave another Christmas gift of more bloodshed to the Horn of Africa by pushing through a sanction against Eritrea in the U.N., emboldening the Woyanne junta to engage in another military adventure.
Jendai Frazer is now a highly paid lobbyist for foreign regimes such as Woyanne that brutalize and terrorize their people.
The people of United States must be aware of the crimes being committed by these corrupt, incompetent ambassadors who are creating havoc around the world.
The two reported clashes yesterday and today at the Ethio-Eritrea border are direct results of the U.N. sanction against Eritrea, which was authored by Susan Rice, and submitted by her puppets in Uganda.

I have read Professor Ephraim Isaac’s plea for peace this morning. It seems he is the only one doing something beneficial for the people peacefully. I call upon him from the top of my lung to please rush to Asmara and Addis Ababa and plea for restraints. Both governments are armed to the teeth with the latest conventional armaments enough to kill everyone in both countries many times over. I beg him kneeling down in front him in the name of Yohannes, Menelik, Abraham Deboch, Jagemma Kello, Sinedu Gebru and many others who left behind a legacy peace co-existence and dexterity. Please!!! Little war initiates big war!
It was not the Woyanne troops that crossed the Eritrean border; it was, in fact, the United Nation sanction approved by Washington and London that crossed first the Eritrean border.
The United States’ plan to eradicate terrorism from the face of the earth has been creating new enemies for the peace-loving ordinary Americans. Eritrea has never joined any terrorist countries and never trained any Islamist Jihadists; however, by sanctioning Eritrea and giving Meles the dictator a green light to invade Eritrea, a tiny nation, is a crime against humanity.
How come the west forgets the war that destroyed thousands of Ethiopian and Eritrean lives within two years, and why is the west pushing Ethiopia to be the first country to resume that bloody war? Is it for the purpose of selling their weapons to both countries, and giving those weapons to Meles at the lowest cost, but to Isaiah at the highest price? Of course, Washington doesn’t care about the sanction; as far as it is getting money, it will ignore the sanction against Eritrea and provide Eritrea with the most sophisticated weapons Eritrea has never seen before. This is the nature of the west: to see both African states kill each other and destroy their countries, and finally, the west will promise a massive aid to both war-torn countries to hide its war crimes against the two nations.
We Ethiopians and Eritreans do not think the way Washington does; we may search and search to understand the spirit of Washington, but we may never understand it as the Apostle Paul said: “The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him. In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.” (1st Corinthians 2:10-11) In the same way, neither Ethiopia nor Eritrea knows the spirit of Washington except President Obama – the true spirit of Washington.
At this time, Meles the dictator may be overwhelmingly elated that he has the backing of Washington to invade Eritrea, but a time will come when Washington all a sudden abandons him after its interest in the Horn of Africa has been met through its manipulating and maneuvering political skills. We Africans have not yet reached to that level of political thinking; the only thing the west has taught us so far is to be cruel to our own people and render them depend on the west instead of on themselves.
This is the only crime Isaiah Afewerki has committed in the eyes of Washington and London i.e, he has refused to run his government by a donated money from the west, and now when Washington is out of money to give Meles, it allows Meles to invade Eritrea and loot the Eritrean properties and share the plunder with Washington.
Despite Washington’s unwavering support for Meles the dictator to kill Ethiopian brothers and sister in Eritrea, who knows, Meles may be defeated by the Eritrean well-trained and disciplined army and that will be the end of Meles Zenawi in Ethiopia.
I hope there will be no more war between these two loving nations; they have seen it all, and it is not worth to resort to it again.

About the TPLF attack on Eritrea first I pray the Eritreans to be strong and humiliate the TPLF mafia in front of their western masters I also ask all non Tigrean Ethiopian brothers and sisters to stand with Eritreans not only praying but also helping in everything they need at the same time the Eritreans should not use the current Ethiopian situation only for their benefit just to fight TPLF rather they should help their Ethiopian brothers and sisters in everything as we know by now TPLF is our common killer in addition to be onest it is you Eritreans who brought this idiots to power if you hadn’t help them they would be steel in their Dedebit digging roots. Morover when the fight starts with TPLF the Eritreans should not leave their forts instead they should wait in their forts until the Tigrean army comes near so Eritreans must fight from their forts when the Dedebits come near them. Another thing I advise the Eritreans put your main army in different well protected strategic key forts then establish many units in each unit put small number of men to create the mobile units to hinder by attacking the TPLF army in progress before the TPLF army gets to the places it wants or before the TPLF army gets to those main Eritrean military forts and depots. Moreover this Eritrean mobile units will make hard to the Tigrean army to fight in full confidence and power, because it will use most of its army to defend from those Eritrean mobile units as well as from Ethiopians who are attacking TPLF army convoy that comes from the centeral parts of Ethiopia. More over do not let the mobile units carry to much material just let them carry just for the single battle they are ordered to fight with them they should not carry unnecessary things because it will slow them from moving fast so put whatever the units needs must be put including food or water as well as bullets or anything they need should be put in advance in pre selected places in all Eritrean territory before the battle starts right now those pre selected places information have to be given for the leadership of each unit as well as to anyone who should know. In order to enhance the mobile units speed the Eritrean leadership must establish special units just to refuel used depots by the mobile units. After that kind of military readiness the Eritrean main army units can fight easily from their well protected forts the exposed TPLF army. Do not forget also have a false forts and other strategic deceptions to confuse the Tigrean army one more thing be smart but do not be cruel like Tigreans. Also use your radio and TV for true propaganda when you communicate with Ethiopians because many Ethiopians including me we have steel some doubt because of your past relation with TPLF remember by talking the truth your supporters will know what is going on as you know today in Ethiopia nobody believes the Tigrean Mafia because its day and night false propaganda has isolated the Tigrean Mafia from its targeted Tv and radio audience thanks to its 19+ years false propaganda. At this crucial time of confrontation between Eritrea and TPLF, Ethiopians have two choices to make: Go to war or stay home. If they go to war, they should not fire a single bullet at their Eritrean brothers and sisters. They simply must mingle with the Eritrean army and hit back the አ ግ አ ዚ. If they stay home, on the other hand, the freedom they dream for will never come without a blood shed.
No need say more; I truly admire most all the comments above. However, I would like to remind the adventurous milistaristic Weyane to think ten times before embarking on yet another futile war. Do not take anything for granted, for both Eritreans and Ethiopians are waiting to receive you in kind. You may cause damage, but don’t think for a minute you will survive the hell you intend to create! No amount of US or Jendai moral or military support can force Ethiopians and Eritreans to love you. On the contrary, you’ll be consumed in the fire you create. In the mean time, be sure you have a country to flee to if you make it out of the Addis intact.
