VOA’s Addisu Abebe was unfair, abusive, disrespectful, and hostile toward the ENTC leaders in this interview that was broadcast Saturday, Aug. 4. Throughout the interview, he didn’t conduct himself as a professional journalist by any standard. I hope he apologizes to the ENTC leadership and give them another interview. It is disheartening to hear VOA echo the Woyanne junta’s campaign that is being waged against the ENTC. Listen below. – Elias Kifle

My Hero Elias.
Mostly i agree with your comments .However, today i didn’t listen anything wrong on the interview.I couldn’t see any unprofessional approach. If he(Addisu) tries to challenge more, he will give us the chance to know about the council and the democratic process of its formation. We should thank him for the chance to introduce the council to the Ethiopian people with VOA, the only media that cover most parts of the country. Anyway, we should STAND together to support the council. Bravo!! Dr Fisseha and all who work for this.
I think the interview maintains a professional standard. I did not see any fault, However, Addisu should have focused on ENTC’s programs? Can ENTC disclose their programs to the public?
How this interview can maintain a professional standard? What are the parameters which can enable this interview to be ethical? It is really something showing some kind of disrespecting. No systematic questions and again discouraging. It seems he has some hidden agenda. shame on Addisu.
Dear Ato Elias, I really appreciate your comment towards Journalist Addisu. I was honestly thinking about this for the last days. specially when Addisu speak with Ato Sileshi he was showing disrespect, We all Ethiopians living in Ethiopia knew Dr Fisseha very well. And we knew why he left his beloved country, thanks to woyane. so please all Ethiopiians let’s respect each other. Let’s give a credit for peoples fighting for our country. God bless Ethiopia.
It seems it’s a bit unfair!
Elias,
You managed to entice me to listen to the interview. I wouldn’t have given a minute under normal conditions. Now I know that ENTC, Moresh and Shengo are one and the same. Welcome to the field of nothingness.
Addisu showed a little arrogance: However I am glad he asked the questuines. Nomatter how supportive we are of them all the active poletical participants should be scrutenized. I am also satisfied with their response.
I don’t mean any disrespect to Ato Elias, but I really didn’t see an problem with Ato Addisu’s professional conduct. He was pressing them to answer questions that the public should hear and that’s what he should and must do!
I do not see any unprofessionalism in this interview. Let us be positive and walk on Addisu’s shoes. I know, sometime, Addisu is biased, speically when it comes to religions, but in this interview, he was trying his best to bring what other people are talking behind the door. “Kaleferse Ayteram”
Ato Adisu Abebe is a professional journalist. the interview with Dr.Fisha and Ato Sileshi was good for listners of voa.
Ato Adisu asked both what we afraide to ask because of intimidiaton!
thank you Ato Adisu for this program!
Tnx Dr.Fisha and Ato Sileshi for giving this interview.
very sad interview sorry to adisu VOA journalist what is his aim ?what is his authority to ask this kind of question and disrespect any person. shame for addiss in general!!!! now we new you all Ethiopian what voa does.let me remember what dr fisheha say to ato adissu you can say what ever you thought but not in this way!!!! shame on addssu realy realy i am so sorry!!!!!!!
The substance of the questions was good and thorough. The way he worded some of them were however harsh and sounded rude. He could have sweetened them a little. Overall good investigative journalism. I would love to hear what Ginbot 7 and Andinet party think about the “transitional council.”
Sorry, I pressed the wrong button before finishing my sentence.
The reason it may sound disrespectful is because we are not used to scrutinizing politicians. You should see how the wester journalists interview leaders and politicians. That is the only way to know what their agenda is for the people of Ethiopia. I congratulate Adissu for the job well done and thank Dr Feseha and Ato Sileshi for explaining what their are doing in a professional way.
Professionalism displayed from both sides. Well done all.
