Meles Zenawi and his Woyanne junta in Ethiopia have been flooding the state-controlled media with ‘news’ and discussion about the so-called “renaissance dam” (Hidasse Gidib) and is asking Ethiopians to contribute money, some times forcibly confiscating one-month salary from employees. The junta has also been sending delegates to Diaspora to sell government bonds to “finance” the project. Since almost every thing that comes out of the Woyanne progapanda machine headed by Bereket Simon is a lie, to find out if there is really a construction project going, Ethiopian Review recently dispatched members of its Intelligence Unit to Benishangul-Gumuz, western Ethiopia.
Woyannes say that the construction started 2 and half years ago in secrecy under the name “Project X.” In April 2011, they renamed the project “Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.” In the previous month, March 2011, Salini Construttori was awarded $4.8 billion to construct the dam. However, as the photos below show, two and half years after the construction is said to have started, there is no major activity at the site where Woyanne media is telling us that the dam is being constructed 24/7. The few hundred construction workers spend most of their day chewing khat and fighting off mosquitoes. They get busy only when visitors and camera crew arrive. No Wonder Egyptians are quite. I think there is contradiction with what the TPLF criminal money hoarding junta saying about the building of a dam and trying to collect money by selling bond, while on the other hand not once but twice $8.4 billion and now $11 billion just found itself in foreign bank. It seems to me it is a disconnect within their own ethnic group in what one hand is doing by hoarding all this money and depositing it in a foreign bank, while at the same time to connivence the Ethiopian people to buy bond. If you haven’t noticed yet Mr Andargachew, Ethiopia today has reached a level where a huge tower building can be structured in 2 years time with intermediate construction technology and well financing private banks. Let alone a government incepted dam project whose progress could have only attracted them more money. If the dam was true, the already collected only could have at least cleared the dam area and placed some foundations stones by now and huge machineries would have been placed here and there. In two years time, (leave the 2years but even from March, 2011 onwards only) the government had enough time to bring in temporary construction bases, hang construction postures, deploy bulk of raw materials, stock cement and sand and station machineries. Once they did these, it would have been normal to stuck the work in a pretext of collecting money.
Thank you Elias in the name of the 90 million people of ethiopia for finding the “truth” sooner than later. Hidase dam is nothing but monkey talk it is not there. The dam is actually located in the Malesian bank. Fool me once you are really clever. Fool me twice and i am really stupid. Woyane is trying hard to fool us day in and day out. Take this elementary woyane-free statistics (i hope very much that u are not the unqualified good-for-eating-only woyane dummy). The population of ethiopia was 80 million some 7-8 years ago. with a growth rate 0f 2% per annum, the growth rate is approximately 1.6 million per year. With a period of 7-8 years that comes to near 10 million. Add that to the 80 million and at least you have 90 million souls suffering under ethnic apratheid rule. What a shame. it is better to be buried and live under ground than be ruled by hyena-minded woyane thugs.

Please do not write falsified information just to attack the weyane regime. Those of us who are in some levels involved in the project know the true progress of the construction. If we want to fight the regime it should not be by deciminating wrong information about infrastructure projects like this one.
Yes this project is well underway and the government is trying hard to raise money and secure funding for its completion. There are also other energy project in the pipeline which some have already started some will even be world bank funded. This is not a dream nor a bunch of lies.

I have presented a well researched analyses about the dam and no one has challenged the data and the facts presented. No expert of TPLF has discredited or rejected the study. It is written in Amharic and it is titled “Ethiopia Hidase Gidib: For What Purpose and Whose Benefits?” It is posted in almost all websites. Please read it and you have the points and the facts why you should not support the Dam. I welcome any challenge regarding the data and info in the article.

I have written a long article about Abay Hidase Gidib describeing the project and why and how it cannot serve the purposes we are told it will benefit the Ethiopian people. I challenge any one including the Ethiopian experts engaged on the project to attack the factuality of my data. It is the truth and I believe no fool will come tell us any thing different than what is stated and described. There are many facts they cannot deny and so long they shy away to dispute the facts, the project is one we should shame them and spread and expose the sham project.
