Pro-democracy Egyptians push back Mubarak thugs

Mubarak is tearing apart his country just so that he can stay 8 more months in power. Despite his claim to be a patriotic Egyptian, he is clearly an evil tyrant who is willing to shed the blood of his countrymen to prolong his grip on power. It’s heartening to witness the unarmed pro-democracy protesters, who have conquered fear and are ready to die for their freedom, chasing away Mubarak’s thugs who attacked them savagely with sticks and knives. The international community must made it clear to Mubarak and his ministers that they will be held personally accountable — face justice at the ICC — for the atrocities they are committing against the peaceful protesters. The Obama Administration in particular has a great deal of leverage, such as freezing the assets of Mubarak’s family and friends in the U.S. Otherwise, it will be Obama’s “Rwanda Moment.”

Latest developments:

* Mubarak supporters attack international journalists, CNN crew attacked.

* The leaders of France, Germany, Britain, Italy and Spain have released a joint statement calling for a rapid transition of power, via the French government’s website:

* After savage attack by pro-Mubarak thugs over night which killed seven peopole, the army started showing sings of movement to protect pro-democracy protesters on Thursday morning.

* Egypt’s prime minister apologizes for the attack on protesters.

* General Omar Suleiman, the newly appointed vice president of Egypt, has held talks with “political parties and national forces”, according to Reuters.

* At least 20,000 opposition supporters massed outside the city’s main university a day after Mr Saleh, an important US ally against al Qaeda, failed to pacify their demands with a pledge that he would not seek re-election in 2013. – The Telegraph

  1. Mubarak may have used “scare tactics” to disperse his opponents to save his presidency at least for few days if not months; however, Meles Seitanawi (Zenawi) is not used to such methods of sending his death squads on horse or camel backs and mingling them with the peaceful demonstrators. Meles has only one tactic to silence innocent demonstrators, and that tactic is to shoot and kill the unarmed demonstrators indiscriminately. This is the big difference between the monster Meles and the mild Arab dictators; the only way we can get rid of Meles Seitanawi (Zenawi) is by convincing the Tigrean army to overthrow him. We must get the army generals and promise them we will reward them with unspecified amount of money that comes from the Meles and Jezebel (Azeb) bank accounts. We will promise them that we will give them the entire wealth Al Amoudi has amassed so far.

  2. Mubarak is NOT intending to stay in power for ONLY 8 more months as he stated but for his entire life after which he will put his own son in charge strictly according to his original plan.

Mubarak’s 8 months propaganda mantra is ONLY for the purpose of dividing, tranquilizing, attacking and crushing the ongoing uprising against him which he thinks is a Capital Crime and an insult to his government and his unbeatable, omnipotent, omnipresent Godly pharaonic honor and dignity.”HOW DARE YOU!” He thinks.

His choice of an extremely experienced to notch master spy chief Mr. Suleiman, with strong net works with all the national and international FOGGY spy networks including that of Israel’s Natanyahu’s all encompassing proactive Mossad spy establishment, as his deputy in charge clearly demonstrates dictator Mubarak’s battles preparations and willingness to engage the opposition as well as the international communities that are currently supporting peaceful democratic transition and the departure of dictator Mubarak. “OUTRAGEOUS!” Mubarak thinks.

The most positive feature of Egypt’s and the other popular uprising against dictators completely enslaving their own people is the fact that the international community and the leading western governments who have been supporting all of these dehumanizing and embarrassing brutal dictators, and through that TOTALLY DISCREDITING THE VERY CONCEPT OF DEMOCRACY AND DEMOCRATIC POLITICAL PRACTICES AT ITS VERY FOUNDATION, THEREBY THROWING THE ENTIRE ARAB, MUSLIM and other oppressed PEOPLE’S IN TO DISILLUSIONMENT AND THE OMNIPOTENT POWER OF GOD, RELIGION AS WELL AS RESISTANCE movements based on theses beliefs FOR THEIR FREEDOM are now waking up and rightly throwing their support behind the opposition movements seeking democratic changes for the best.

    BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!
By giving support to popular demands, popular wishes and democracy, the international communities are being human as well as neutralizing the power of extremism and violence both nationally and internationally.

ONLY dictators need and try to perpetuate all of these negative features just for the purpose of justifying their very inhuman dictatorial existences, essentially taking our beautiful common planet as their convenient hostage.

I personally bow down, doff my hat and say THANK YOU! many times in appreciation to all of those international governments and the United Nations for coming out and decisively disown established conflict and terrorism generating dictators while help and supporting the impoverished population to decide their fate by themselves democratically by way of electing their own leaders who may genuinely improve their own lives and livings.

For a change you have a comment that is strategically meaningful. If I may add to your recommendation, what about allowing some of the generals to continue serving and the rest a safe retirement. But the offer has to be believable. Why? because what happened to the generals in in 1974 and 1991 will be a scaring memory for this generals. The smart oppositon leader will make its way into the brains of this generals or their colonels. Then we could see change.

  4. Assta B. Gettu,

A few days ago you were claiming that there are no problems in Ethiopia since diaspora church leaders are heading to Ethiopia rejoin their domestic counterparts to serve the government. And now you are saying and implying that there is no meaning in people’s power, popular resistance and popular uprising since wayanes will surely kill people and do damages just like the previous demonstrations. Instead you are recommending to agitate Meles’s military to overthrow Meles who receives enormous amounts of financial, material and logistical resources from the outside to generously remunerate and distribute to his armed forces. You promise to pay Meles’s army if they do get ride their pay master in an anticipation for your mythical cake in the sky while you are hiding like a typical coward and singing meaningless songs that in fact sounds some sort protection for the dictator rather than an opposition. How much are you paid by the dictator, or are smoking some thing? :)
