This week a conference is taking place in Mekele by Eritrean opposition groups under the auspices of Meles Zenawi’s regime in Ethiopia. One of the meeting’s main agenda is how to overthrow the current Eritrean government. The other main agenda is instituting ethnic politics in Eritrea. Exiled Eritreans vow to launch Ethnic-based movement
MEKELLE, Ethiopia (Sudan Tribune) – Eritrean Nationalities that represent the majority of Eritrean ethnicity vow to join hands together in the efforts to step up struggle to oust Asmara regime.
The Democratic Front of Eritrean Nationalities (DFEN) has hold Eritrean nationalities conference in the Ethiopia’s northern town of Mekelle, where representatives of some five ethnic groups, civic societies, religious leaders, refugees and front allies took part.
During their 3-day conference this week, Eritrean nations and nationalities reach an agreement to intensify their struggle to ensure their democratic rights.
“Eritrean nations and nationalities have decided to collectively take an arms struggle in a united form to secure the abandoned rights of self determination up to secession” Mohamed Mear, Red Sea Afar Democratic Organization(RSADO) foreign affairs head told Sudan Tribune.
“The latest move is the only way to topple an oppressive and tyrannical regime so justice and peace among the Eritrean nations and nationalities is ensured” Mohamed underscored.
Participants condemned President Issayas Afeworki-led Eritrea’s only party PFDJ of undermining the demands of its own people and ruining the nation.
“The atrocities on daily bases happening against Eritrean nationalities t is intolerable,” they said in a statement adding “now is the time we all act in united form to rebuild a democratic new Eritrea.”
The Red Sea Afar Democratic Organization (RSADO) and the Democratic Movement for the Liberation of Eritrean Kunama (DMLEK) last year created the Democratic Front of Eritrean Nationalities (DFEN).
The front, currently embraces political organizations from Afar, Kunama and Saho ethnic groups. Two other, the Nara and Blen ethnic organizations are expected to join the front in a near future.
“The main aspiration of these peacemakers is restoring genuine justice and peace where all Eritrean nations and nationalities might exercise their democratic and basic human rights.” Nara National organization said in support to the Mission.
The Democratic Front of Eritrean Nationalities (DFEN) would hold Eritrean nationalities conference on 7, July 2010 to deliberate on an action plan.
According to Nessredin Ahmed, another RSADO official, the planned ethnic based movement will participate Eritrean refuges currently residing in Ethiopia and Sudan.
Currently there are some 50,000 Eritreans that took refugee in Ethiopian Camps; A lot more, an estimated 350,000 Eritreans are also being sheltered in neighboring Sudan.
Nassredin called on all peace-loving Eritreans at home and outside, all concerned groups, other Eritrean ethnic groups and the international community as a whole to shoulder the movement.
Last month, some Eight Eritrean opposition forces created a joint military front to launch a massive and well coordinated military attack against Eritrean government.

The prime enemies of Eritrea have always been devising various conspiracies in their evil schemes to undermine the aspirations and accomplishments of its people. Under the pretext of liberating Badme, after they encouraged and supported the mercenary tplf clique to wage an all out war, not only did they fail to topple the GoE ,but they also failed to achieve their military objectives. So they started to target directly the Eritrean people itself. The Tplf clique, with the support of certain Western interests,has been working hard,under different guises,to create such groupings. However, the appearance,from time to time, of such hostile gatherings is not new to the Eritrean people; in its long and ardous history of struggle, it has experienced many such challenges which like August hail of pebbles vanish before they appear. And in the process, the Eritrean people has developed a collective awareness and unfettered resilience against hostile forces.
The only new thing may be that now such hostile gatherings are so open for the average observer to easily see that those who basically run such groupings are mostly Tpleferss posing as Eritreans and/or “Eritreans” who in broad sense of the word share the same complex or mindset.
Their/tplf/ masters have been trying to present the assemblage of these groupings as a war by proxies between Eritrea and (Tplf’s) Ethiopia. Now just for the sake of it, assume that this is true; then one may ask, after the growling EPPF liberates,say Gondar,how long would the N-groupings meeting in the future capital of AT, take to write a joint statement?

A baffled and sleepless Prime Minister Meles Seitanawi wants to surprise the Ethiopian people by attacking Eritrea at any time, using the 50,000 Eritrean refugees and by convincing the other 350,000 Eritrean refugees in Sudan to join the Eritrean refugees in Ethiopia; however, numbers are misleading. If he can find 400 well trained fighters out of 400,000 Eritrean refuges from both Ethiopia and Sudan sides, he would be lucky. The Eritrean well-disciplined standing army would crush any Woyanne mercenary army at any time and at any place.
Knowing Meles Seitanawi could not assemble well-trained army to topple the President of the Eritrean people, he wants to create ethnic conflicts in Eritrea; first, he wants to get rid of the Eritrean refugees from Tigray: he wants them to die fighting against their own people, so he should not bother feeding them even though it is the United Nation that take care of them. Second, it is his intention to incite the Muslim leaders such as Mohamed Mear, Red Sea Afar Democratic Organization (RSADO) foreign affairs head and Nessredin Ahmed, another RSADO official to fight the Eritrean Christians and create hostility between Eritrean Christians and Eritrean Muslims. He doesn’t know he has his own Christian and Muslim tensions in his own country. In fact, it is this tension between the Ethiopian Christians and the Ethiopian Muslims that gave him a chance to subjugate over 80 million Ethiopians for such a long time. The Ethiopian Muslims have been enjoying a happy life since Mengistu Haile Mariam up to now, and that is why one can hear Ethiopian Muslims denouncing Emperor Haile Selassie and praising Mengistu Haile Mariam and Meles Zenawi. Ethiopian Christians will never get free from Meles Seitanawi before they get rid of the Ethiopian Arab Muslims first.
Eritrea is facing the same problem: the Eritrean Muslims try to bring down the Christian leader, Isaiah Afewerki and put in his place either Mr. Mohamed Mear or Mr. Nessredin Ahmed and finish the new Christian kingdom in Eritrea and start a new Muslim Kingdom that cooperates with the Ethiopian Arab Muslim to destroy the Ethiopian Christendom. Sudan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and other Muslim countries are working tirelessly to accomplish this Islamic goal – to build a strong Islamic empire in the Horn of Africa.
To unravel this hidden Islamic alliances, to frustrate the Jihadists’ war strategies, and to completely desecrate their Islamic law, the Sharia, the Eritrean and the Ethiopian Christians must come together and stand up together as they are culturally, traditionally, and religiously the same, and even their physical makeup is the same; therefore, it will not be hard to defend their religion, their territory, their culture and tradition against these invading barbarians – the Ethiopian and the Eritrean Arab Muslims. The nefarious plots of the NEO-COLONIAL forces to create mayhem and chaos in our region and particularly in Eritrea, is a multi-pronged intervention of which the religious component is one. So the response has to be likewise and focused toward the main sources and/or their main agents.
There are those who try to see it mainly from a religious angle, and mostly focus on the “moslem” side neglecting totally or partially the other sources of conflict. Successive Ethiopian regimes, for example, had been supported under the pretext of their assumed stalwardship of the “Christian Island.” However, regarding religious harmony ,the nations of the region, especially Eritrea,it is totally wrong or is wantonly deceptive to think in terms of the land of this or of that religion. Without going into much detail, actually the tplf regime has been actively supported and propped by certain extra-statal agencies that advance such false pretexts.
The best solution for all these divisive ploys to stop is then to remove the apartheied regime in Ethiopia which has definitely turned into an agent of various competing forces which exclusively want to keep their respective interests at the expense of the peace and development of the peoples of the Horn.
The dramatic recent fake election in Ethiopia has paved the way for various opposition parties and armed resistance groups in Ethiopia to work closer and also form strong alliances with other anti-tplf organizations and governments in the Horn region. I am here to tell you that your strong religious opinions brings more division among Christian and Muslim Ethiopians than to live in peace with one another with tolerance and understanding. One can catch more flies with honey than vinegar. It is easier to win others by Compassion, Kindness, Love, Patience, Understanding. I happen to be a Christian, but I have been mistreated badly by Christians most of my life, so what is the purpose of Christianity if we don’t practice the true teachings of Christ. Look around you how Christians are treating President Obama just because he happens to be black. Yes, we have to defend our religion, at the same time we have to respect other people’s religions as well. Has anyone with two attentive ears heard what this guileful and persnickety Ethiopian Muslim has uttered in his excrement-soiled mouth about the shining Ethiopian Christian history?

Kebre Negest is the history of our Ethiopian kings and queens who fought hard against the invading Muslims and kept the unity of our country intact. Menelik I was real; Menelik II was real; Ate Yohannes was real; Emperor Tewodros was real; to make the list short, Emperor Haile Selassie was real, and all these and the other powerful Ethiopian kings have been meticulously recorded in the መዋዕለ ነገሥት or ክብረ ነገሥት (Chronicle of Kings) by the highly educated Ethiopian scholars. Chronicle of Ethiopian Kings is not like Quran or Hadith, a collection of fictions from the sayings of Muhammad the false prophet. For the Muslims the Chronicle of Ethiopian Kings and for that matter any other Ethiopian book is a Fairy Tale. Even Abba Gerima’s Gospels that we saw in our own eyes today on the Ethiopian Review are also Fairy Tales because they do not mention the name of Muhammad or Fatima; if they did, they would be considered real books by this diffident Ethiopian Muslim, Mr. Wendm.
Mr. Wendm glorifies Mengistu Haile Mariam and Meles Seitanawi (Zenawi) for promoting the Ethiopian Arab-Muslim interests and for demoting the other religious faiths, and that may be the reason why Ethiopian Arab Muslims showed up in great number at the poling station to vote for Meles, their master. Whether you support Meles Seitanawi, sooner or later, you will be the loser. I have been saying many times that the Ethiopian Arab Muslims are the main causes for lengthening the corrupt leadership of Meles Zenawi, but very few people listened to me. Mr. Wendm’s comment tells the whole story that the Ethiopian Arab Muslims have been on the sides of Mengistu Haile Mariam and Meles Zenawi since the fall of Emperor Haile Selassie. I know the hearts and minds of the Ethiopian Arab Muslims; I have been with them, lived with them, played with them, and learned with them. Muslims according to their law (which by the way is to increase the population of a nation) are having many kids because the man can marry many wives which has nothing to do with religion, the goal is to dominate a nation with population, and this is happening to Ethiopia and claim they are the majority and put Sharia law.

So, think about it, Islam was imported and did not exist in Ethiopia. So wundm, you seem to spread propoganda from Egypt for the Nile and of what you have been brainwashed about Ethiopians and yet you fail to show evidence about the fakeness of christianity and kingdom in Ethiopia at least there are many many many evidences of christianity and kingdom on Ethiopia whether you like it or not.
