Chairman of KIC (Keysi), Dr Taye Woldesemay, and his guests from Ethiopia, Ato Bedru Adem and Wzt. Nigist Gebrehiwot, held a public meeting in Nashville on Saturday, Nov. 3. There were about 15 individuals in the meeting, and over half were there to confront the anti-Kinijit Keysi. The rest were EPRP members and Ato Tsehay Demeke’s relatives.
The Nashville meeting was organized by Ato Tsehay Demeke and prominent mathematics professor Habte Giorgis Churnet.
The few people who were at the meeting peppered Dr Taye and friends with tough question, including why Dr Taye continues to be a cause of division inside Kinijit. Ato Bedru was also confronted with some inconsistent statements he made in previous interviews and speeches.
Wzr. Nigist spoke only once and remained quite throughout the meeting. She did not look and sound comfortable sitting there. It seemed that she was there only to return Ato Hailu Shawel’s favor — he gave her some money when she got out of jail.
During the meeting, Ato Tsehay tried to raise funds for Keysi. He was able to collect $200 from two individuals, according to ER sources.
One of the paltalk rooms was carrying the meeting live, but after things started to go badly, they turned off the mic.
Asked about Kinijit’s relation with OLF, Dr Taye said that he is studying OLF’s political program, and went on to say that Kinijit doesn’t work with anti-Ethiopian forces.

I was there at Nashville in the meeting. Here is the truth about the whole senario. First of all, there had not been any announcement in Nashville about the meeting. The only way how Ethiopians in Nashville knew about the meeting was when they came to the only Ethiopian orthodox chruch to attend the annual Medhane Alem celebratiom. Nobody understands why Ato Tsehay Demeke and friends tried to make it secret. It seems like it was planned as a gathering for KIC puppets which are very very few in number, to be exact, not more than three people and I still do not understand why?
At church, people were told the meeting would be started at 1:30PM. Even those few people did not start to show up until around 3:00PM. Among the few that attended the meeting some left even before it started, when one question was asked from one attendee, and Dr. Taye, Ato Bediru and W/O Nigist tried to give answer and it was all as usual hearsay and like “cover your eyes and let us fool you.” One thing that kept me wondering was Ato Tsehay was trying to transmit to the Ethiopian Dispora room through its agent Gize Mizanu. He was telling the room as if there are many Ethiopians in the meeting and as every one was exited. However this was very far from the truth and even the first question asked by one attendee was to challenge the Dr. Taye, Ato Bediru and W/O Nigist group. I swear, they must have regretted even the notion why they wanted to hold a meeting in Nashville in the first place.
What a loss. I was always wondering about not having a picture of Oct 14 meeting.. from the other side… except Elias’s one… I couldn’t believe KIC group has such a low hardline supporter. I wish I knew the background of each of them… including the supporter. But I think no need to do the research. We better do our best to make them open thier blind eye and see the reality.. and bring them to us— the true KINIJIT supporter.
I support the idea of Ademe and thank our brother from Nashville who gave us the picture of the failed meeting.
these people are getting good lesson and hope they will open their eyes and minds and reverse their gear towards the right direction.
let us not push them too far. let the bad atmosphere cools down until such time the problem makers floats themselves within their deeds.
this particular move to Nashville was a failure from the start when declared secret. Let them learn from their mistakes and if they give us their ears:- our hands and hearts are open to take them back. the door not yet closed.

The way I see it, KIC is long dead. It is only because of you that we hear about KIC sometimes. I suggest to Dr Taye to upgrade KIC to a new level by including the 2 or so feudals from EPRP. The new fitting name of the new upgraded council could be FIC as in Feudals International Council.

PS: I urge the new democratic EPRP to speedily replace the feudals so that the formation of FIC can happen soon.

Dr.Gudu Taye is now obviously a frustrated good for nothing ordinary man,once we gave him our heart in a good faith,now we realised he is fake and the weakest link in Ethiopian politics,let’s forget the about “kic” anti-Ethiopian minority elements,

Thanks Elias and anon from Nashville for bringing to our attention this so called secret meeting of KIC in Nashville. I for one am really grateful, that the EPRP/Shawl faction was able to hold the Oct. 14th meeting in DC and this meeting in Nashville yesterday. The hope is catastrophic failures such as this will open their eyes to the way things really are on the ground. This so called loyal mass support with unquestioning love and trust in Hailu Shawl and his divisive policy is nothing more than Cinderella’s golden carriage after midnight, bumpkins. This so called support and loyalty is nowhere to be seen except in the sick imagination of Dr. Taye.
Let’s hope and pray that this is the last public hurrah of Dr. Taye because, lately he has been nothing but an embarrassment to both himself and the opposition. Now that EPRP is split, once again, maybe its old goons will stop messing around with the affairs of Kinijit. The split of EPRP is what I call poetic justice, a fitting end to a fictitious organization of yesteryears!
I agree with all the above suggestions that we should give a breathing room to the so called KIC supporters to realize the errors of their ways and come back to the fold of Kinijit. I also respectfully request racist demagogues like Dr. Getachew Haile of Minnesota to grow up and stop tarnishing the names of the five delegates, about whom he has no knowledge, personal or otherwise. Getachew Haile needs to realize that the jig is up and there is no going back, no matter what he says in his venomous writings. In a personal protest to his activities around the Kinijit delegates, I am returning all of Dr. Getachew Haile’s books that I had purchased over the years, and yes he can keep the money too.

It seems birds of the same feather are flying together here. KIC is officially buried long ago. Engineer Hailu has neither the mandate nor the proficiency to raise the dead. What we are told by the anonymous witness and Elias is KIC’S ghost haunted the city of Nashville.
Even though it is a relief to see the gathering fail to achieve its goal at the same time it is tragic to see the money given in good faith wasted unwisely by the squad of hard liners, incompetents, opportunists and crooked.

It is good that they are having their own internal problem. That will make them stop interfering in the business of other parties (atleast temporarily). They know it and we all know it that they can’t play any constructive role in Ethiopian politics. What they do is attach themselves (as a parasite) on other parties and delay the freedom of Ethiopia.
Please ask any one in Nashville who knows the two individuals: Tsehay Demeke & Mesay Andarge, who names mentioned in http://www.kinijit.org website. They deny that they had a successful meeting and there were many people. Where is the picture? These guys have been writing all sorts of things for the past year but they could never produce a single picture of their meetings.

As a foot note, I am not sure Taye has gone to school, let alone to a college , to a descent High school. If you do not believe me talk to him on any subject from small mundane talk to… what have you and be the Judge
Guys, they have the right to have a meeting, but what matters is to indentify their weakness and expose them as it appears.
