  5. I am an Ethiopian Somali and had lost three of my youngest sisters during the Agazi massacre in the Jijiga area. They were raped and murdered on broad day light. When I see the picture of this so called “Daughter of Meles”, I remembered one of my youngest sister named Aiysha who was ruthlessly massacred last year. Aiysha resembles this daughter of Meles. I was shocked to see how they look alike. They resemble much as twins. Incidentally, the difference is- one is dead but the other is alive and in fact is the daughter of a killer of Aiyesha and still training to kill another girl, another Aiysha, another Somali. What a paradox. First I felt jealous of his daughter of being alive and well today, but later on I became contented of the death of Aiysha. My reason is this, in our culture, the death of the innocent is by far better than being called a daughter of a killer and still training to kill another batch of thousands of Somali children. The daughter of Hitler now survives but she will be dead one day as every one did. The difference is the cause of what they stand. The cause and death of my sister is always remembered and one day justice for sure will be served.

  7. In my opinion, it is not right to judge the children of a criminal by their parent’s sin. I do not think Elias Kifle himself would accept the idea of his children being judged by his sin and wrongdoing.
    Is it a professional journalism or grudge, vengeance and hatred spewing political website.
    Elias, you know better than that, you should not release those pictures. Do we have to look Meles’s daughter day to day activity, a picture that have been taken as any teenager or do we have take our eyes off the bigger picture? Are you trying to distract or show us your bravado, and how smart your intelligence gathering techniques are by releasing those pictures? Are you an opportunist politician or a resentful hate monger that uses your “smart business minded head” to let your readers hate what you hate? Or are you a smart and calculative person that pretends to love your country and use this website and put provocative agendas so you can get as many people as you could to click on to your website and in turn those advertising companies pays you with the number of guests that visits your website? If you are claiming that you are a politician, is this how you are struggling to alleviate the sufferings of Ethiopians under this brutal
    tyrant? And if you claim that you are a journalist, is this how you take a stolen pictures of some one and put it on your website without the persons consent for public consumption? And for what purpose? This is a politics and journalism at its worst. There are more valuable things to do than releasing a picture of a teenage girl that does not have a chance to select her parents as the rest of the world’s children.

  9. When your dear pregnant wife is thrown in jail and your first born child was born in jail and is being raised in the jail, when your father’s body is placed at the city centre for all to see and was told that you can’t even bury him so that it would be a lesson to others.
    Or when your wife is raped right before eyes so that your will can be broken for ever. Or when your whole neighbourhood is razed to the ground or your village is burnt down. Or when your brother or sister who are even younger than Meles’s daughter has either disappeared for ever or are locked up with little hope of ever being released and reunited with their loved parents.
    Then, perhaps, you will be able to know what sorrow, pain, and anger would really mean.

    Meles has not respected other children’s privacy and certainly has not shown sympathy and remorse. It is, therefore, inconceivable to afford privacy to his daughter.
    Afterall, as a ruler of the country he should led by example and this is not a good example that a decent parent would like to raise his child.

    A public figure’s family is NOT off limit when they misbehave. They chose to be scrutinized publicly. Be a poor farmer’s daughter and nobody will bother you!.

    Semehal Meles is NOT a teenager, she is rather a 23 year old young woman. Once past the age of 19, a person is not a teenager anymore. Yes, she has her father’s ugly mug but she is a young woman with a taste for the vulgar and crass side of a gangster’s offspring. Apparently all the money spent on educating this young lady was a waste, since she doesn’t even have the good sense to comport herself decently in public or private.

  13. Thank you Elias, I think this is the right time to displasy these pictures of junior Woyannes. We have to commomorate on June 8 our littile kids who were killed by their parents. I know may be few of Woyane/Tigre members will think interms of moral or ethics, now we do not care about them. Enough is enough, we have caried them for 18 years. This is too much for about ethics, private life, etc… now we are on a big War. God bless you.

    That means Kinfe was Azeb’s ex-hubby???????????
    If it is true it looks like Azeb was giving a good service for weyanes top dudes. Amazing setup.

    You don’t get it. Do you? She is 23 years old and you call her “a teenager”? Get a life boy. Yes it has to do with the political situation in Ethiopia. Because of politics her parents are holding the palace. She is living this way while the Ethiopian children are suffering with lots of burdens including to get a meal once a day let alone having shoes, home, education and the likes she doesn’t care at all. She is riding a Toyota cruse. Yet it is relevant. Ethiopians have the right to know how are behaving the so called their leaders. If things are working the right way, because of this picture, meles would be forced to leave office now and will never seek again another office and his daughter, too. This picture will serve years to come as living documents about the Meles’s and family behaviors in Ethiopia.

  37. Just skimmed the supposedly scandalouse photos of Meles’s daughter. I have to admit that I did not see anything extraordinary or bad behaviour …she is shooting a gun…so that is what people do… and she gets drunk and party’s that is what affluent 23 year old do. In the end she is not photographed snorting cocaine or having pornographic sex which is what children of leaders of western countries get caught doing and I think the whole thing on the part of ethiopian review was silly and a cheap shot at attacking meles. But i think it is funny they would have been better off printing pictures of Sebhat so drunk that he pees on himself at the Golf Club that would have been more damning to the Woyane cause.

    In the same way, Elias Kifle or someone else from Elias camp has gone to Meles Seitanawi’s palace, and instead of pinning him to the ground with whatever weapon in his hand, Elias has speared Meles’ life; instead he takes those beautiful pictures and posts them on his web site so that Meles may know he is at the mercy of Elias Kifle. And if Meles asks for those pictures, I’m sure, Elias Kifle will send them back to him under one condition that Meles must give up his post to the Ethiopian people and lift the death sentence on Elias Kifle.

    Those scholarly articles and comments Elias Kifle, a distinguished journalist, has been posting for several years on his worldly well-recognized Ethiopian Review are to you silly and meaningless. In this regard, I think, you are the silliest person who have no respect for the editor in chief and for his readers us the Ethiopians in the diaspora and at home.

    You have totally failed to distinguish between wild behaviors of a-23-year-old girl and a well-disciplined girl of a wealthy Ethiopian gentle man. What you are saying is the children of wealthy westerners act the way this evil girl is acting, and it is okay to act that way because she is the daughter of a wealthy man, Meles Seitanawi. She may act that way when she comes to America but not in the Ethiopian soil where there are so many daughters of Ethiopian saints. We have some wealthy Ethiopian fathers and mothers who have children, but they don’t allow their children to go wild in public as well as in their private lives.

    It seems you are unhappy because your master, Meles Seitanawi, is being attacked for robbing Ethiopia and enriching himself and his family with the stolen money while the Ethiopian children are left homeless because of your employer Meles Seitanawi’s corrupt leadership. So, we should not allow her to go wild on the Ethiopian soil where her father and her mother slaughtered hundreds of Ethiopian children; we are still mourning about our murdered brothers and sisters, and we will never forget them until justice is done on their behalf. Her criminal father has refused to take responsibility of those whom he murdered indiscriminately. I wish he would have the fate of Zedekiah whose children were murdered in front of his own eyes (Jeremiah 39:5-7). What about that, Warsay #132?

    You revealed how the Tigrayan ruling elite’s children are partying with money stolen from the coffers of the Ethiopian people while the rest of Ethiopian children are condemned to abject poverty.

    I bet the ER Intelligence Unit will also sneak to the bedrooms of Woyanne officials to snap some pictures for posterity so that when the time comes for the Woyannes to be thrown into history’s DUSTBIN, historians can study whether these evil creatures were actually human beings like us.

    Thank you very much for giving us an opportunity to explore facts. I am Eritrean and when I grew up, I used to hear the name Debre Zeit as a strong Ethiopian Air Force Base. It is sad and shame to the true Ethiopians to see this respected air force base to be a day care for a bunch of spoiled, drunk, privileged kids, with a lot of resources to burn. This body guards could also have done useful work to get rid of the tyrant dictator instead of sitting on their ass and watch the sun set.

    As much as I despise Meles, this comment is beyond inappropriate and very cold. Yes, the daughter is acting wild and living life to the fullest by the back of poor Ethiopians and behaving what she has learned from her parents. It is the responsibility of parents to teach their children basic moral values; in this case the morale her parents instilled in her is showing in these pictures. She is acting what she has been taught and the blame should go to her parents.

As a person who was in Addis Abeba for the elections and as a person who didn’t vote pro government, its safe to say that I was for the opposing party, having said this, the length this website has gone to to “humiliate” our current government is shameful. Ok, as a “public” figure, this girl may have been fair game, but the way these pictures have been obtained were indeed illegal. This does not promote peace amongst people, if you claim that meles is hateful i see u doing the same thing…i don’t see much difference between meles and what this website is promoting….very sad…and how the mass is eating it up, that is why we will never be one as a country!

    Why is your comment so nebulous and so dark that one cannot say for sure whether you belong to the Woyanne government or to the opposing party?

    Okay, you didn’t vote for your government and that you were for the opposing party; however, your hypocrisy and stupidity have become your accusers that you are for the Woyanne because you have stated this way: “…the length this website has gone to ‘humiliate’ our government is shameful.”

    First of all, we do not have a democratically elected government and we do not recognize the Woyanne government – your government – as our legitimate government. It is not the Ethiopian Review that humiliates your government; it is the corrupt leadership of the Woyanne people – your people – that humiliate and disparage their own governance. Once again, we do not recognize such an evil and misleading government, and we are determined to destroy it; then replace it by a democratically elected person, and that person will be our legitimate ruler or servant.

    It seems you are very concerned the way those pictures are obtained, and you are, I think, trying to press charges on ER for illegally possessing those photographs. Go ahead and sue our popular website if you can afford it to do so; we in the millions can afford to pay the legal expences for our website.

    I will tell you briefly what Meles, your lord, has been promoting: From day one, Meles has been promoting divisions among the Ethiopians, selling out Ethiopian lands to the Arabs, robbing the Ethiopian banks, stealing historical artifacts, creating regional conflicts, destabilizing the neighboring governments, promoting the growth of his own ethnic tribes, rendering Ethiopia a friendless nation, jailing those who oppose the injustices Woyanne commits on its own people, destroying the existing Ethiopian Churches while building new palaces for the Woyanne death squads, attempting to sell the building in Jerusalem given by the Ethiopian Kings and Queens to the Ethiopian Monastery in the Holy Land, educating only the Tigrean children by sending them abroad for higher education, preventing the Oromo’s, the Amhara’s and the other tribes’ children from going abroad to further their education, opening new roads, new hospitals, new schools, and new businesses in the Tigray province, and finally refusing to give up power to the Ethiopian people.

    On the other hand, the Ethiopian Review has been promoting so far the unity of the Ethiopian people by advocating that Ethiopians deserve to have a democratically elected government so that they can express themselves without fear, send their children to any school in Ethiopia, sell their products at the market values, not at the dictation of the government, have access to all business and benefits, have the right to hire and fire their government, and lead their own lives.

    In fact, the recent journey of Elias Kifle to Asmara, Eritrea, indicates that the Ethiopian Review endeavors to establish a strong relationship between Ethiopia and Eritrea; therefore, your statement, “…the length this website has gone to humiliate our government is shameful,” is absurd and unacceptable. What is humiliating for me is the killings of innocent Ethiopian boys and girls, marching on the street of Addis Ababa, expressing their disapproval to the election. What is humiliating is sending a pregnant woman, an eighty-year-old man, and a twelve-year-old boy to Kaliti jail and live them die there. What is humiliating is the killing of the Gambella innocent boys and girls indiscriminately. What is humiliating is to ignore the cries of the Ogaden people for autonomy, and what is humiliating and shameful is to invade another country and destroy its people without any concrete reason.

    If the Ethiopian Review, in all its presentations, is humiliating the Woyanne government, then Elias Kifle, the chief editor of this prominent website, is fulfilling the wishes of millions of its leaders. We want to humiliate and destroy the Woyanne government and never to rise again. Instead, we will have a better government that respects the rights of the individuals – a government that does not lie to his people, a government that keeps his promises, and a government that does not steal the public money to enrich his own family.
