ONLF leaders meet with U.S. officials in Washington

The Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) chairman, Ato Mohamed Omar Osman, and head of foreign affairs, Ato Abdirahman Mahdi, are currently in Washington DC on a working visit.

A source close to the ONLF told Ethiopian Review that the two leaders are meeting with high-level U.S. Government officials to discuss the ongoing political crisis in Ethiopia, particularly in theOgaden region.

The ONLF leaders have arrived in the United States last Friday, Aug 12. The ONLF press office said that details of the meeting will be announced shortly.

The Woyanne regime has repeatedly asked the U.S. Government to label the ONLF as a terrorist organization. The U.S. has disagreed.

  1. Why to America buddi? Lets solve our problem on our own. People like Elias can contribute in solving domestic issues just by being true citizens. lets pray people will believe in power of dialogue.

  2. If true ,it’s a good news for the region.
Even I think the US are not following the right speed to conclude the Horn of Africa turmoil.
Now up to all to consider that a political solution will be the best..and criminalizing each other wont lead to a solution ,on the contrary will worsen the reality.I hope OLNF and the ethiopian gov both will make concession to the best for the region.

  3. It should be clear by now that Meles Zenawi and his gang of thugs only understand the language of force. Kalkidan is either really stupid or really good at turning a blind eye to reality.
