The 2008 top 10 political turkeys of Ethiopia

CNN’s list of the 2008 top 10 U.S. political turkeys gave us an idea to prepare our own list of Ethiopian political turkeys.

10. Beyene Petros – has always been a turkey, not just this year.

9. Lidetu Ayalew – just look at him on tv sitting inside the fake parliament.

8. Ato Gebremedhin (Aba Paulos) – Beyonce did not keep her promise to come back and visit him.

7. Mesfin Woldemariam – tells Ethiopians not to call the fascist Woyanne regime an “enemy.” It is like telling a rape victim not to call her attacker a “rapist.” That is how twisted his logic is.

6. Seye Abraha – the hero welcome he expected did not materialize.

5. Abraha Belai – exposed himself to be less tribalist than Woyanne only by a small degree.

4. Azeb Mesfin – still claims that she is poor after having looted Ethiopia’s treasury for the past 18 years (ye chigaram neger).

3. Al Amoudi – it turns out he is a fake billionaire who cannot even pay off a few million dollars debt.

2. Meles Zenawi – got his butt kicked out of Somalia by 3,000 ragtag rebels.

1. Birtukan Mideksa – falls from the most popular Ethiopian politicians to an irrelevant political figure in a matter of 6 months.

  3. In my opinion, w/t Bertukan saw the US support to Weyane not wayining, and must have said to herself “Jee wiz, I did not know I would not be accepted as the shining star by the US Congress – even after I got humiliated my self and asked “Pardon” from his highness the dedeb of Dedebit.

    You mention Aberha Belai, a person having anti Eritrean people sentiment he doesn’t even spare children born today as Eritrean. We know him who he is very very well. He is charactrised as a soap a needle and a blade.

    This list is in the order that u feel. But do u think Meles is better than Birtukan? No !Her idea may be different from yours but it is shame to compare her with the facist Melse.

  7. Abraha Belai is a shifta that hopefully he will get his evil deeds if and when he returns to Ethiopia after the iminent fall of Weyanes. It is pay back time in the offing.

  9. Brtukan’s party established the atrocity committed by weyane on international forum in the past.we thank them for that,but one can not say that they should continue same old game again.We need change and new direction!.

  10. Ethiopian Review, it is a perfect list you has done thank you. Especially from the new list, Birtukan Mideksa and Mesfin Woldmariam are the number one and two worst bandas of the year.

    Let the public know what is going on.
    Other wise we Ethiopians have never been
    lucky to be honored by our so called professors
    and educated citizens.
    I think the next generation need to take the burden
    to make a research why Ethiopian intellectuals are ignorant
    about their country.

    Knowing what we know, the list is not that bad. Abraha Belay is a die hard supporter of a TPLF with out Melese. I don’t know why it took you so long to say the obvious.

    Prof. Mesfin w/m’s motive is to score point against Eng. Hailu Shawel and Dr. Berhanu Nega – in the process he killed himself poltically. He is the worst loser of the post Kaliti leaders. His inner evil killed him beyond repair.

    As for Birtukan – she is a naive moron – who has no idea and the slightes clue in what she is talking about. She as a leader? No way! She has nothing in her brain. Right now she is renting Mesfin w/m’s evil brain, a year ago it was Dr. Nega’s brain.

    Elias, we are still waiting for an update for the wherabouts of the 1 million dollar raised last year by the 5 fools!

  17. Good List Elias, by the way, you just can’t stop, right? Is the CIA funding you or what? I wonder how you make a living just by sitting in DC and waging a one person attack against the multi-billionaire woyanne empire and inconsistent opposition party members, I wonder how much these so-called opposition politicians would have fooled us if you were not around, God bless you and protect you and may he give us another Elias when you call it quits for whatever reason even though it seems unlikely.
