The Ethiopian People Patriotic Front’s (EPPF) leadership has reorganized its International Committee and named its officials today.
The EPPF’s primary responsibility will be to mobilize Ethiopians around the world to support the organization, according to the leadership.
The newly restructured International Council has 20 members and a 9-member executive committee.
Members of the executive committee include:
Ato Leul Qeskis, Chairman
Ato Melke Mengiste, Secretary General
Ato Kassaye Mersha, Vice-Chairman
Ato Assefa Hailu, Head of Political Affairs
Ato Sileshi Tilahun, Head of Organizational Affairs
Ato Zewdalem Kebede, Head of Public Relations
Ato Daniel Gobeze, Spokesperson
Ato Demis Belete, Head of the Press Office
Ato Getachew Teyet, Head of Logistics
The above executives are also part of the 20-member International Council.
Additionally, according to the EPPF leadership, an advisory group of at least 10 individuals is being formed.
The chairman, Ato Leul Qeskis, and the Secretay General, Ato Assefa Hailu, were elected to parliament in 2005 as members of the Coalition for Unity and Democracy Party (Kinijit). When the Woyane regime stole the election, and after witnessing the atrocities Woyannes were committing against their constituents, instead of joining the rubber-stamp parliament, both of them, along with three other parliamentarians, chose to join the EPPF fighters. After 3 months in the field, the EPPF leadership decided that they are more needed in the political field and sent them to Asmara. Currently, Ato Luel and Ato Assefa are in Europe. With their new role, they will make frequent trips between the Diaspora and the camps in the field where all the EPPF top leadership and fighters are.
To explain these and other developments, the chairman of EPPF International Council, Ato Leul Qeskis, will hold a press conference next Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at 3:00 PM Washington DC time.

Such a highly skilled, bright and very Ethiopian as well as a good mastery of the world at large, Journalist Demis Belete gave in to EPPF?. From research, report to heading the press office?. He would have made a good head of press ministry if Ethiopia was under normal circumstances. He is taking a risk limiting his professional boundary to a specific organization who has had a history of controversy, fight etc.
Well, he always seem to know what he is doing and proven right in spite of the “enemy”. May it end out to be for a just reason which ending is right for Ethiopia/ns. My best wishes and God’s blessing
There is more good new coming out of the fields in Ethiopia, the EPPF is growing as a potent political force led by dedicated and honest patriots who care about the people of Ethiopia, the new International Committee will be the bridge between the people of Ethiopia who are bearing the brunt of brutality under the facist Woyanne regime and Ethiopians in the diaspora. The best part about the EPPF is its dedication to the people of Ethiopia, this organization will not be a tool of foreign powers at all, it is lead by patriots whose only desire is to see the people of Ethiopia live in peace and work towards prosperity primarily on their own. There is nothing that will give the people of Ethiopia confidence than the ability to solve their problems by themslves, this is the beginning of something great for the Ethiopian people.
We shall see, Hope this will work this time, we have seen a lot of parties come and go. We will hope and pray this group has the magic bullet.
God Bless Ethiopia
we, the people of eritrea congradulate the freedom fighter of ethiopia. weyane time is ticking. best wish for ethiopia. down with weyane thugs.
This is a good news. I see light at the end of the tunnel with these guys. Let’s help them succeed. What do we have to lose. We are losing our country to the woyane jiboch.
Go EPPf GO ! I am convinced only our patriots can set us free. Only if we support EPPF financially and morally we can succeed. We should create EPPF Lobby and support groups in our area. EPPF is the only Nightmare to Weyanes.
We will see within few weeks of time when the socalled EPPF structure to be wiped out just like OLF remnants in Addis. Ethiopian people will never expect a peagon from a snake egg. In other words, we don’t expect anything good that comes from Asmara.
Eritrean,
I second you in congratulating EPPF and wish it and our Ethiopian brothers and sisters a stunning success in our efforts to live side by side in total peace and harmony augumenting each other’s needs and I know we can do it if only we have the good will!
