Efforts underway to raise annual meat export to 30,000 tons
Addis Ababa, September 18 (WIC) – The Ethiopian Meat and Dairy Technology Institute said it has been undertaking capacity building activities that help achieve the plan set by the government to raise the annual meat export of the country to 30,000 tons from 6,000.
Institute Director General, Dr Ameha Sebsibe, made the remark at a training program on Ethiopian beef fabrication organized here by the Ethiopian Sanitary and Phytosanitary Standards and Livestock and Meat Marketing Program (SPS-LMM), in collaboration with The Ethiopian Meat and Dairy Technology Institute.
Dr Ameha said a capacity building is necessary to raise Ethiopian beef fabrication up to the international standard in order to attain the government meat export target.
Ethiopia is exporting about 6,000 tons of meat at present and most of the meat being exported comes from goat and sheep, Dr Ameha said, adding that the meat being exported from livestock does not satisfy the international standard.
Accordingly, the Institute has been providing support to investors engaged in the sector to boost meat export through raising productivity and beef fabrication standards, he said, adding that the Institute has been providing training that focuses on beef fabrication to experts drawn from 10 abattoirs.
The training is being given by a professor who has come from Texas A&M University, USA, and it will help bring the Ethiopian beef fabrication up to the international standard, thereby attracting new clients and raising foreign exchange earnings, according to Dr Ameha.
Ethiopian Sanitary and Phytosanitary Standards and Livestock and Meat Marketing Program (SPS-LMM) Deputy Chief of Party, Belachew Hurisa, on his part said that SPS-LMM has been exerting efforts to create a conducive situation to make Ethiopian animal and animal products competent in the international market.
Accordingly, SPS-LMM has been engaged in activities to enable the beef fabrication of export abattoirs meet the demand of the market.
Training of trainers is therefore being given for 21 experts drawn from 10 abattoirs. The training is aimed at enhancing the standard and amount of the nation’s meat export, he noted.

That SOB Kanazawa does not know what he is talking about. His analysis and thought process when it comes to sizing up our ability to learn and retain knowledge is based on this broad and deep-seated conviction by a sizable Asian intellectual community toward anyone colored. Such flawed intellectuals have already infected their community with this poisonous garbage in believing colored people have the genetic defects that interdicts them from learning, innovations and retention of empirical and theoretical knowledge. He has no idea that it was an Ethiopian farmer who domesticated and gave the worlds most of the very stable corps Kanazawa fills up his malignant stomach every day. Crops like wheat, barley oilseeds and so on. There was another wing-nut at one of those NY colleges who once declared colored people are inferior to other races when it comes to learning. This one (NY) is a very sad one because he and his ethnic group were and still are targets and victims of racism verbally also with violence. It is up to us and only us to prove to ourselves that we can do away with our weaknesses and work toward a better life for all Ethiopians. Don’t worry by what such scumbags like Kanazawa and the other one who from NY acted like a ‘concentration camp foreman’ are saying about us all. These are confused/wicked philosophers and pseudo-intellectuals with sick minds.
But I agree with Mr. Elias when he resembles those ghoulish individuals from Dedebit who were lucky enough to usurp political power in one of the oldest nations in the world with Kanazawa’s characters.

It is not only meat that the weyane criminal group is exporting a lot of Ethiopian resources and assets illegally from the country , but also gold, money, tourist attraction assets such as Lucy has been exported, teff , coffee, leather, and all most all Ethiopian assets has been exported from Ethiopia. In addition to that Ethiopian lands has been exported as well, apart from the land and the port that was illegally given to Eritera, recently the weyane criminal group has given a big portion of Ethiopian lands to the Sudan, and many parts of fertile Ethiopian lands to the leaders of Djibouti, China and Saudi Arabia.
In general it is better to mention or easy to count what is not exporting from Ethiopia than exporting items. The other basic fact is that Ethiopian women are also exporting to serve most Arabian countries including Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Lebanon, Abu Dhababi and other countries. Apart from all these facts Ethiopian professionals such as medical doctors, lawyers, engineers, accountants and other major assets of the country have been fled the country due to the high and severe mass human disrespect of the weyane criminal group.
Literally speaking weyane has been exporting all Ethiopians assets along with its people. So I would not surprise if the weyane criminal group is exporting meat while over 30 million people is severly need a food assistance and more than half of the entire population doesn’t get food once in a day and 95% of the whole Ethiopian people eats once in a day since the price of each food item is very expensive along with one kilo of meat is now selling in a price of 75 birr per kilogram and eventually will reach easily 100 birr per kilogram before the half of the Ethiopian new year.
I think Ethiopia is a country that people cannot live anymore except those weyane criminal group families who have the right to do whatever they want and who have the only people can afford the life.
