An Ethiopian Airlines employee, who wants to remain anonymous, informed Ethiopian Review this afternoon that Ethiopia’s dictator Meles Zenawi has died 4 days ago. But according to our sources, his bodyguards are still at St. Luc Hospital in Belgium. If Meles is dead, what are they doing in Belgium? Is it a diversionary tactic?
When asked how he found out the information, the EAL employee said that he overheard it by accident on Monday from senior airline officials who are members of the ruling party. He added that he receives Ethiopian Review email updates regularly and decided to contact us with this information after hearing Bereket Simon’s interview this morning and was offended by what he heard.
Coupled with similar information we have been receiving since Sunday from several credible sources, the story about the dictator’s death is gaining more credence by the day.
Woyanne propaganda chief Bereket Simon’s press conference this morning (watch below) raised more questions than answers. Observers speculate that the Woyanne junta could be keeping the dictator’s death secret because there is a growing dissatisfaction with Meles Zenawi’s choice of Berhane Gebrekristos as his successor.

Good one man :-)
U are right they are buying time for solving their internal conflict. It is sad, he is gone. I wanted him to be example for many racist people being under custody for his remaining life time.
I guess there will no any change of the system as long as Ethiopia people keep quite.
May God protect all his people in Ethiopia from any danger from Gov.
Don’t these pictures over the weekend tell you that the death happened over or around that weekend?

Beka, these people are becoming like irons, emotionless. The ego and power and greed and fear making them to be inhuman. When someone hears their beloved deaths, they won’t control it therefore, there will be crying and loud scream etc. TPLF and EPRDF is even inheriting unhealthy Western characters, suppressing their emotions. It is this emotion that comes out killing and oppressing people inflicting pain on others which later comes back to them. So the reason Ethiopians don’t know whether Meles is dead or alive is because how very secretive these people are EPRDF or TPLF. Is this something good to inherit really? Act human you evil people and cry. Such unnatural character that the people in this region have, they are inheriting which is unhealthy, disconnected. This makes you alien. Way to go EPRDF and TPLF.
The reason they are buying time is to wait for their masters how they can lead this. The systematic distraction by allowing Muslims to protest is the distraction such tactic is outside style. I believe the Muslim uprising was staged and deliberately set up by TPLF and EPRDF because as we Ethiopians hear the news, people might rise up. Since TPLF and EPRDF is scared most of Amara and Orthodox people, they staged the Muslim uprising to scare the rest of Ethiopans therefore, in case there is clash now it will be between the chiristians and Muslism and if things get worse, the TPLF will leave. The issue is what is the coward opposition groups waiting for instead of uprising? ARe they listening again for what outside have to say? This means, other ethnic groups are in line with TPLF. So this is an indication, other groups are completely in bed with TPLF and the few who benefited may be telling people not to rise up. Wey guuud ale.
This is white lie. Melese is dead period. Go and cheat tourist. Son of a bitch woyane.
You know what, just forget about this Monster. Who cares if Zenawi or all these TPLF mafia pigs die in one day. All of them.
By now, we should all be convinced of the fact that nothing moves or scares TPLF except BULLETS. We are all trying for years to take the path of least resistance. It is not working. The cure for a chronic disease of 21 years called TPLF is one thing. Guns!
Believe me, I am not a violent man or someone who abhors peaceful struggle. In fact, I started with peaceful struggle. But I am telling you that I have proved beyond reasonable doubt that peaceful struggle will never never work with the TPLF mafia. We should all accept the inevitable fact of killing TPLF gangs and getting killed, if we are serious about bringing any change in Ethiopia.
Elias, don’t even report it. You rather report what is unfolding in Ethiopia and what can be done to exploit this transition. Focus on this one. Ashebari Zenawi may have already died. Even if he does not, this guy needs at least 6 months-1 year to recover. So, practically Zenawi is a kind of out of the picture already.
So,the million dollar question is WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?

I think most of us we want to keep speculating, hence that is why the Western reports keep coming out confusing us “deliberately” until they restore their power.

RIF–Rest In Fire
If not dead he is not in a condition to lead no more. They are buying time to calm people down and wait for the Ramadan to start so the muslim gets busy in fasting. There is no way a guy that is sick showing chronic weight loss gets sick admited to a hospital get treated for at least 7 days and get back to work in 10 days or so. the plan is easy calm everyone and the supporters down buy time till they figure out power sturacture get the strength and put a leader then annouce death or no more a PM. By then Muslim is fasting and the anxity is gone to start anything.
Ofcourse, what would you expect from Bereket Simon? He is a world class liar. Meles might not be dead and if he didn’t I am pretty sure he has experienced what others did because of him. This should make all these “human form parasite woyannes” that anybody can die and its not a good feeling to see millions pray for you to die. Good deeds make your people pray to see your survival but being woyanne makes the entire generation wish for your death and worst of all, even Waldeba Monastery won’t be praying for Meles and we all know the white robed fake Pope Aba Gebremedhin AKA Paulos by now is looking for a way to become Abune Merkorios the Second by running away from the regime that put him there and he endorsed regardless of the damages inflicted by woyannes. But thankfully, God is good, now Christians and Muslims are collaborating together regardless of woynannes attempt to create rift between us. I don’t want to wish death to another human being who failed to be a good human being but Meles’ ordeal is for sure sought by millions, QUITE UNFORTUNATE. Whatever happened or is happening, Egzer Yimar or Nefis Yimar even though the first one might mean something not so good for Ethiopia.
“Abo Min aynet sewye new”. Even in death, he is making us look bad infront of our creator by making us wishing him death.

Since the uprising of Muslims, many of us try to calm this down by promoting Muslims. This comes because we are afraid. The protest of Muslims is indication of their power over others. Every ethnic group supports them. I am not talking about majority of Muslims but extremist Muslims could be indoctrinating other Muslims. If you read any foreign site that post on Ethiopia news, most comments below about Ethiopa says, Ethiopia is a Muslim Nation! Muslims are now majority and there must be Sharia law! etc etc. I will worry about such messages going around the globe. This indicates the weakness coming from other mainstream Ethiopians. This has nothing to do being anti Islam, but there is systematic empowerment and conversion of Ethiopians into Muslim and Evangelism.
I thought the influence of Muslim comes from TPLF regarding religion. I beleive the influence maybe comimng from EPRDF representing other regions who have always resenting past regimes. So before it was ethnic opression and now Muslism repression? How so? According to Jawar Mohammed who is not claiming Muslims are opressed. Where do we draw the line what ever happened and happened in the past and even exaggerated. However, how can we make the system coexistance place where everyone lives equally and in peace without forceful conversion deliberate ethno fascism? This is not showing your equal right but domination. So why cry past regimes dominated then if TPLF/EPRDF is doing the same thing. So to get back to my point, past regime opression is hoax and overly exaggerated, it is just power struggle among groups. We Ethiopians want democracy nothing more nothing less.
Well dead or alive the truth will come out eventually unless he resurrect and it’s hard to hide this kind of news for a while any way .
I don’t believe this thief. I’m sure Ali Baba is dead.
All the conflicting things his entourages are saying made me more suspicious. Something good(bad to his believers) is on the horizon. I can’t wait to see his demise!
Elias, world class, hands on, organic, investigative journalism. I’m comparing you to your peer website like Ethiomedia that appears to suffer from serious inferiority complex by covering important ashebari Meles news thru lens of the western media.

Dagne,
This is what my supicious is about Ethiomedia. He is covering more about Eritrea rather than Ethhiopia and the situation. Editor him, being a Tigre, I am sure he has the inside news whether Meles is dead of alive. So what does the editor makes him? He is not true journalist at last, because he is now careful not to post any news regarding Meles. One reason not to trust people like the editor (forgot his name)from Ethiomedia. The funding coming from TPLF however gave his site to make it top.
why do not someone contact cnn and let them make the search …
Ethiopian “Tensae” is coming soon!!!
I believe he is dead, because if that is not the case, wayanes would have gone to a great length to disprove it. If he is not dead, let them show us recent dated clips of our ” beloved” dictator.
From a the phrases uttered out by the long time staunch supporter of Meles Zenawi “መለስ ኖረ አልኖረ፣ በቀለ ኖረ አልኖረ፣ ዘርይሁን ኖረ አልኖረ፣ ፋጢማ ኖረች አልኖረች: የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ ታግሎ የመሰረተው ስራት አለ” sounds like, the come back of Meles is gone for good, nothing proofs Meles’s pass away better than these phrases.
It seems this thug has already been dead. Didn’t u see Bereket Simon fidgeting while talking the issue, Aboy Sibhat on VOA, I can also feel it. What wonders me is that still they try to fool Ethiopians, u know they consider us like cattle. Don’t even know Ethiopia has doctors who can perceive what is going on medically. Anyways, now is the time to look forward ane for solutions, COME ON ETHIOPIA!
How can the Belgians allow his body to stay there for so long?Privat citizen or head of state,it is bizzar noone among the ferenjis is leaking out the news.I don’t think they can buy everyone to silince specially if he is dead. How can they be worried about a dead dictator?Anyway they must be laugning at all us Africans, being first hand witnesses about how Meles and his likes are playing a game on us.
If that is true, do you think Azeb will just seat in Addis and participate in AU conference? Doesn’t make any sense to me.

If her (Azeb’s) heart is already gone to someone else other as alleged by some people, she may not care whether he is alive or not. If Meles is “dead” as of July 14, this confirms what the ENTC news outlet was from credible sources. Moreover, I heard it from an other guy speaking for 100% sure that Meles is dead over that specified date.
Now, why the TPLF doesn’t want make it public is just a public secret by itself: they do not want to give a pace for power struggle or dissents from satisfied militia men.
I just read that ENTC has asked the US for a format diplomatic recognition, which is very smart and effective approach. Ethiopians task now is to do something tangible like what Abebe Gelaw did and other innovative and effective struggles. Even after all what happened, it is always sad to read like “let come together and do something” or so. It is too let to talk about that. By now, something credible should have existed and ready to challenge TPLF political operations. If we continue talking now and again, ad if God allows us to wait and see, we will see that TPLF crimes would continue for more years to come unless we are serious to take the matter by now.
These people are shameless. They are build on lies and they will end with their lies.
Yewenet Refet wusdewal foreve! May all Ethiopians find love peace and harmony within them so we may bring back justice and sanity back to the nation. All should pray Christians Muslims and all and find forgivness among one other so that we can move on and rebuild this nation.
All these fools while disappear into obliviance very soon. It was predicted..but it took longer than it should have because we all distrusted each other and bought into their villiage mentality.
Shake Gebriel had said “ende amede benu yetefalu” the time is now
hold on to one another Love and compassion will save the day. We need to start thinking rather than reacting. Lets move forward alot of work ahead of us.
Country men and women: According to my information, meles survived and is back home since yesterday, Wedensday. He was in Germany and not in Belgium.
Not telling the truth for 21 years, Meles is still lying dead! Keep lying in hell, too a..ho!
This man is sick Woyane. He should be hangged in public. By the way the reporters are the same Woyane cadres he hired to make it look like there is journalist in that country.
This denkro Woyane think he can fool us; little does he know we know everything about him.
Leba Woyane
Has anyone thought of this? Perhaps he is faking his death even though he is unwell or not or even could be doing fasting to lose wait. I believe after the humiliation from Abebe Gelaw , hero, he couldn’t take the embarssment and probably he passed the power to someone else. That could be the reason as well. Of course he has amassed millions and Mengistu is a witness that Meles could live in luxury any where in the world with well armed body guards. Azeb will follow slowly of course and soon will disappear from politics.
No our father plise help our leader !
Dear All,
I have got a first hand informationfrom Sin Luc Hospital here in Brussels. They told me that ‘Melese is still alive, but, in life-threatening condition
The situation as dire and volatile it is, it should have been under the complete control of the ppl and the so called opposition forces. Several opportunities have already passed. But, this one is a God given one. If we don’t know what to do, and how to handle it, I’m afread the consequence will be a total disaster..
The opposition shoul take a leading role. The excuse saying “we haven’t rcvd permit to hold a meeting does not make any sense. The law allows them to do so. Remember in South Africa, the law prohibits to gather call meetings. However, Mandela, Bishop Desmond Tutu took unwavering role to lead and organize the ppl to fight appartied and dismantle the system. The same goes to Dr. Martin L. King. He sacrificed his life for millions to live in equality, and peace. We all die, but these great leaders will forever be remembered.
Meles is dead, they are buying Time to crown the next Dictator who will continue Meles,s Ethnic Policy. we still have more live cancers like Bereket Semon who is not even Ethiopian who likes to destroy our country. Where is G7? Have you travel on any airline lately? Did you see rich Woyane running away to their bank all over America and europe.
I have no doubt that cockroach is finally dead. The TPLF mafia is buying time. They will announce the dictators death, once they transfer power to another criminal TPLF thug. Let us hope, the Ethiopian opposition party are having secret talks with the Obama administration to transfer power without bloodshed.
May be Ethiopians should hire the National Enquirer to dig out the truth about the death of that monkey, lol!
Pray for ur enemies! You have no any power to judge any one!
U like it or not he is the leader of Ethiopia.
Helen replies:

To all Ethiopians,
I live around the hospital PM Meles is getting treated and what I can tell u is that he is alive but in a treatening condition. The doctors taking care of him have reported that he will be recovering in a couple of days but wouldn’t be able to manage to get back to work. Even though I don’t have a clue about the kind of politics running in Ethiopia,I know as an Ethiopian we wish people who are died to rest in peace not to wish them to go to hell. what I want to say is that we have history filled with dignity and loyality, at the same time we have faced persecution by several leaders but its suppose to unit us and make us stronger not mess up and make it look messier than it alredy is.
.
If a lie detector was attached on Simon’s body, I bet the meter will show 101% that he is lying.
Meles is only one retarded sick man. Hope he is going strait to hell! what can we do to chase the rest of his criminal gangs??
Where is the deputy prime minister??? It is laughable. If they are respecting the constitution, Hailemariam Desalegn should be runring the show. Which is not happening as long as Bereket and Sibela Nega alive. Let’s watch this unfold story patiently. Opposition parties please work together. The Ethiopian people will ask you one day if you do not fulfil your duty.
Long live Ethiopia!!!!
Not only are they buying time to reorganize themselves and fool us but they are also aligning with their Western masters and in the meantime giving him a funneral. All oppositions should work together and don’t let this rare opportunity pass.
The Parilament is now on break. So
1. The government can’t elect a new prime minister until next Ethiopian year.
2. Until a new Prime minister is put in the office, The current deputy prime minister will assume the position.
3. Hailemariam will order all military related activities.
Therefore, for the first time in 21 years there is a chance(very slight) that any of the other parties in EPRDF can manuever the power structure in that party. So “Hailemariam Desalegn please please don’t waste this opportunity to represent the voiceless people of Ethiopia”
