The group of companies listed below are owned by Saudi agent Al Amoudi. These 40 companies are currently busy looting and plundering Ethiopia in partnership with the Woyanne apartheid junta.   2. Out of curiosity, isn’t it true that Al amudi is the 68th richest man in the world? And that he made his fortune in the oil sector in Saudi?

    Now it would seem odd to me that a man who has investments all over the world in pteroleum, real estate and finance sector, would want to “rob” Ethiopia? This through investing in amongst other tings, the education sector and soft drink factories?

    Im sorry to disapoint you (as Ethiopians always like to think that they, as both individuals and collectively, are of utmost importance to the human affairs – that includes every aspect of globa affairs), AL AMOUDI DOES NOT FINANCIALLY NEED ETHIOPIA! Let alone loot Ethiopia.

    The only thing Ethiopia has to offer him is a playground where he can play the role of a big man and get plenty of attention. As he is half Ethiopian, we cannot exclude a nationalistic element also. Other than that, dont forget he has billions of dollars he legally made IN OTHER COUNTRIES, why in the world would he loot a poor country for pennies?

    If money was the issue he would not have come to that poor country. Instead he would have ivested more in Sweden where has allready made hundreds of millions of dollars…instead of running Unity College LOL

    What Sami doesn’t know is most of the businesses are set up to acquire loans but the gold mines a real dig for him and for the ruling family. There is also a business listed as nr. 30 Trust and personnel. Do Sami and his kind know what that business does. It’s engaged in modern slavery. Alamudy gets a good cut of the poor temporary workers who get employment through this agency. Is it not a shame when a billionaire trades in human labor as opposed to creating family sustaining jobs for poor Ethiopians as the propaganda goes?

    You are a very naive individual who does not have a clue how and why businesses expand and make profits. You think this guy is doing a charity work in Ethiopia?

    In 2008 On the campaign trail, Barack Obama said: “I will ensure that foreign investor rights are strictly limited and will fully exempt any law or regulation written to protect public safety or promote the public interest.” This is not happening in Ethiopia. The TPLF government does not protect the country and the people from being exploited. We all know what is happening. We can write books after books about this.

    This is just one example that private companies in the West exploit weaker countries in way harsher methods and in ten folds than in their countries of origin.

    What Sami is telling us here is Al Moudi can make more money in Sweden than he makes in Ethiopia. According to you Sweden is weaker, and with no laws and regulations. So it is easier to loot Sweden than Ethiopia. Do you think we are just born today? In a very respectful manner I like to tell you that you do not make any sense and it is very childish to even try to post this kind of comment here.

    Sami you really do not understand the practice of businesses that is called ” Give some with one hand and take more with the other hand”. I do not blame you for thinking like what you just said. That is the kind of picture they have created in most of the population. There are those who are struggling for replacing the government and their success will be measured by their policies and the respect they gain from the majority of the population. And there are others who are fighting for the rule of law, democracy and human rights.So the reason why those opposing hired to oppose are worst because even though they do not own the companies who are looting the country and the people they are as dangerous and harmful as the looters themselves. In a country where there is no legitimate auditing and controlling system of governance it is a crime to exploit the natural resources. The government, the company owners, the people hired in advancing the practice, and those who are writing or speaking on their behalf claiming there is no exploitation are equally responsible. May be the punishment is different but all are guilty.

    I made a few points in my coment, none have been adressed so far by any of you. Instead of making a counter-argument you all say im wrong and call me bad names.

    So let me try again:
    1) Al amoudi made his fortune in Saudi and other countries before he came to Ethiopia.
    2) He is the 61th richest man in the world with a fortune of 12.5 billion$. That is several times Ethiopias anual exports.

    3) He is the biggest foreign investor in Sweden, amongst othe places.

    So yes Unity College provides him with pennies, compared to his oil refinery in Sweden or Morroco.

    So yes, if making money is the issue then investing in “24.Rainbow Exclusive Car Rental and Tour Services PLC” in Ethiopia is not the thing to do for a guy who allready has 12 billion dollars. lol

    Its typical Ethiopians trying to make themselves more important than they are. Al amoudi was a multi billionare before coming to Ethiopia and he doesnt need Ethiopia’s money!

    Sami, you are not answering what some people asking you too. Is Al amoudi investing in Ethiopia for nothing just because he is half Ethiopian?Out of the 40 or so companies are you claiming he is not making millions of money with very low tax payments and no other rules?
    Accusing others is a very easy thing to do , but you have to understand the writers that it is very difficult to convince them that there is no exploitation taking place.

    And it is not only these “typical Ethiopians” who are accusing the government joining hands with Al Amoudi in economic exploitation and expansion in the country, many foreign journalists, including Americans, human rights activists and economists have said it too. So which one do you want us to believe, You or our own instincts and minds? Fair is fair I am not saying anything personal to you but you are trying to tell me here that these companies are only making ” pennies” in Ethiopia, so what is your conclusion? No profits at least few millions?

    So I take it you are not Ethiopian then when you say “Ethiopians make themselves more important ..” then we understand that why you may support him because as I mentioned above, you will not support the person unless you are getting something out of it and would like to say prove it. Prove it also you are claiming Alamoudi is not getting benefit from Ethiopia’s natural resource such as gold? Oh, there is more why he is in Ethiopia.

    So all these things you listed that he declared doesn’t mean everything is true. Just because you listed doesn’t it is true documentation of who he is. For instance people always say verbally they are good, great etc, because we are conditioned that way to bring positive karma toward themselves just because they said it, it doesn’t mean it is all true. Besides also his actions says all for people who accept you or reject you in the end. It is not to say he shouldn’t invest or be businessman, but does his action damage Ethiopia and its people is the question. If it turns out that it is bad then obvioulsy what his CV or what he claims to be is false. However it is that time the looting, lack of morality time, get as much as you can with no consequences. To be out of morality is becoming very popular with no question and consequences and people on this side are more likely to benefit from it that is why you are supporting this greed side and the balls are on the court of immorality and greed.

    Almouldi is not doing charity work in Ethiopia. Almouldi is robbing Ethiopia. He uses the nation at his will. I remember the reporter exposing about money he borrowed from the poor mother and never paid back to the bank. Dammit, you tell me Ethiopia has nothing? if Ethiopia has nothing? what is doing? what are the 40 companies for ? what charity is running? Did Almouldi built a single hospital while he has controlled the entire country? Almouldi only pays bribe to the useless citizen. You can not rob people and the country any where in the world unless your business is legitimately making money with controlled governance. I hope you are following other countries news of banks and mortgage companies who are guilty of hurting the economies. so some of them were found guilty of personally involved in cover ups.     This is what we are being told that if you have the ability to step on other people’s toes, then you have to dare to fight and get it back but they are implementing such action such as greed because there is no consequences and challenge. In order to stop being challenged, they have set up defense system so no one can make them accountable. Indeed the blame then goes to no one. If you blame then implement and act until then this will continue because the ball is in their court this is what they are trying to explain. Really there is such miscommunication or the greed are not explaining themselves very well because of being politically correct and so that such style benefits them a great deal.     When money is the issue, absolutely exploiters and treasure hunters practically rush to poor countries like Ethiopia because there are abundant scare natural resources to be grabed in there, and there is no protection for the poor by human rights or accountable representative government who taxes these robbers and by such money collected lifts the population up from poverty.     Briliant question. Sami above listed Alamoudi’s personal life history and you have answered his question. WE DONT KNOW WHO THIS GUY IS. When his cousin was arrested in U.S on terrorism, he was described to be Eritrean look it up on google. I have heard that Alamoudi is Eritrean as well. Therefore, this will definitely favor and have been favoring Eritrea, funding possiblly by stealing from Eritrea and giving it to ERitrea. it is possible also this guy could mobilize the Greater Tigray the dream of TPLF, Shaebia through the support of Arab League. To be honest, where did he get all the money? Before he set his foot in Ethiopia. He was not in the list of rich people. But all of a sudden after controlling Ethopia his wealth skyrocketed how come?     I now like your argument here very well and I have been meaning to debate this for a long time. I am glad you brought this up. Those Ethiopians knocking themselves on the foot. I do believe WE are part of the problem not the SOLUTION. When you accuse of someone being “you used to be poor”, you were this and that, etc. are actually forgetting in fact exacerbating the problem that is going and have been going on in Ethiopia. The problem is our own IGNORANCE. We acccuse people because of what ethnic group or economic status had been in the past as if defining Ethiopia and those who should have power from certain groups, from wealthy group etc. Hey Ethiopians, I am ethiopian as well, please when you make argument make it so that Ethiopia is represented and understand logic and root cause of the problem. One example of accusing one another is: you had nothing before now you have wealth etc… your argument should be how is it that you gained wealth without merit and fast while others are still struggling. This or another if anyone has suggestion make sense. When you said you had nothing before, this indicates that why should the perosn you are accusing should not have anything in the first place? Isn’t it the responsiblity of the government and the socieity to improve the livelihood of every society? This shows the ignorant elite that used to be that expects certain people should not be expected to have good livelihood before.     According to my above argument, it is not about supporting TPLF but, we Ethiopians are not opening our eyes such irresponsible accusation based on other people’s ethnicity and economic status are actually shows from the person who sees this argument from outside to say well, arent’ you insulting yourself by saying these people you are accusing of as a nobody is putting the burden on yourslef and insulting yourself and government that of your own responsibility of improving the livelihood of your own society?     I guess it has become common that when those enriched (nothing wrong) accuse the rest of the people as in the protestors in West they call them jealous people bla bla. In the most enlightened people and nations such as the West somehow this aregument of jealousy other than tangible intelligent argument seems to be winning as if those who are protesting are lazy, bla bla. Who cares if they are rich? They can go to the moon if they want, however one thing that people don’t seem to call them out is that why the war on people and stepping on the toes of others to be rich by taking away other people’s rights is the question. It is very evident that as mass exploitation and wealth rises up the middle class is dessimated. The reason is through crime, wealth is being transfered from the middle class to those who are rich.     አስቀድሞ የኢኮኖሚ ነፃነት የሌለው ህዝብ እንዴት ብሎ ነው የራሴ የሚለው ሀገር አለኝ ሊል የሚችለውና በዚህም የፖለቲካ ነፃነትን ሊጎናፀፍ የሚችለው?ኢትዮጵያውያን እኮ ዛሬ የእጅ አዙር ዘመናዊ ቅኝ ግዛት ውስጥ ነው ያለነው፡፡አብዛኛዎቹ ፖለቲከኞቻችን የኢኮኖሚውን ጉዳይ ፈፅሞ ችላ ብለውት ከስልጣን ጋር በተያያዘ ዲሞክራሲ የሚለውን ቃል እንደበቀቀን ሲለፈልፉ ዲሞክራሲንም ሆነ ዳቦን ማግኘት ያልቻልንበት ሁኔታ እየተፈጠረ ነውና እባካችሁን ምን እየተደረግ እንደሆነ ቆም ብላችሁ አስቡ፡፡ሀገሪቱ በኢንቨስትመንት ሽፋን ለሀራጅ የቀረበች የቅርጫ ስጋ እየሆነች ነው፡፡መለስ/ወያኔ በሂደት የለየለት የቡርዣ መንግስት እየሆነ ነው፡፡የቡርዣ መንግስት ማለት ደግሞ እራሱ ቡርዣ እራሱ መንግስት የሆነ በሁለት ቢላዋ የሚበላ ተቋም ነው፡፡የቡርዣ መንግስት ዋና መለያ ባህሪው በዋናነት የሚቆመው ለብዙሃኑ ህዝብ ሳይሆን ለጥቂት የካፒታሊስት የቡርዣ መደቦች ነው፡፡በዚህም የተነሳ የቡርዣው የንግድ ድርጅቶች በተለያየ መንገድ ሊከስሩ ሲሉ ወይንም ሲከስሩ እራሱ የቡርዣው መንግስት ከህዝብ በሚሰበሰብ ታክስ ከመንግስት ካዝና ወጪ በማድረግ በከፍተኛ ገንዘብ ይገዛቸዋል፡፡ ከዚያም ቡርዣዎቹን በዚህ አይነት መንገድ ይታደጋቸዋል ማለት ነው፡፡ ይህ ሲሆን እነዚህ የንግድ ድርጅቶች የህዝብ ንብረት የሆኑ ያህል ይሰማናል ነገር ግን ውሎ አድሮ እነዚህ የንግድ ድርጅቶች በህዝብ ገንዘብ መልሰው እንደገና ሲያገግሙና እጅግ አትራፊ መሆን ሰጀምሩ ደግሞ እንደገና መልሶ ለእነዚሁ ለቡርዣዎች በርካሽ ዋጋ ቀረጥ እየቀነሰ ይሸጥላቸዋል ከዚያም ትርፋቸውን መልሰው እንደገና ማግበስበስ ይጀምራሉ፡፡ስለዚህም ቡርዣዎች በአብዛኛው ሀብት የሚያከማቹት የቡርዣን መንግስት ጥላ ከለላ አድረገው የህዝብን ጉልበት ገንዘብና እውቀት ያለአግባብ በመዝረፍ ነው፡፡ስለዚህም የዘመናችን ቢዝነስ ወዲያው አንድ ጉዳይ ላይ ገባ ተብሎ ከዚያም ዘረፍ ዘረፍ ተደርጎ ወዲያው ወጣ የሚባልበትና ለሀገርና ለህዝብ ዘላቂ የሆነ ጠቃሚ የሆነ እሴት የማይፈጠርበት የማፍያ ስራ እየሆነ ነው፡፡የእነ አላሙዲንም በኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ ያለ እንቅስቃሴ ከዚህ የተለየ አይደለም፡፡አላሙዲን ለኢትዮጵያ ካለው ፍቅር ለክብሩና ለነፍሱ ነው ኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ ኢንቨስት የሚያደርገው የሚለው እጅግ አስቂኝ ነገር ነው፡፡ይህንን አይነት የነፍስና የክብር ስራ ለመስራት የሚፈልግ የቢዝነስ ሰው ደግሞ ለህዝብ ነፃ ትምህርት ቤት ነፃ ክሊኒክ እና ሌሎችንም የእርዳታ ድርጅቶችን ጭምር ነበር መመስረት ያለበት እንጂ የዶሮ የስጋ የወተት ንግድ ስራ ላይ ጭምር አይካፈልም ነበር፡፡ለሀገር ለወገን የሚቆረቆር ደግሞ ሚሊዮን ዶላር አውጥቶ ቢዮንሴን ማምጣት ሳይሆን ከዚህ በተለየ ትውልድን የሚያንፅና የሚጠቅም ነገር ነበር የሚሰራው፡፡ስለዚህም አላሙዲን ኢንቨስተርና ተራ ደላላ ብቻም ሳይሆን ከበስተጀርባ ሌላ የተደበቀ አጀንዳ ጭምር የሚያራምድ ሰው ነው፡፡ነገሮች በዚህ ከቀጠሉም ነገ ዳቦና ውሃ ጭምር የሚያከፋፍለን እሱ ይሆንና ዳቦና ውሃ ለማግኘትም ጭምር የኢትዮጵያዊነትና የስብእና ክብራችንን እያዋረድን እርሱ እግር ስር የምንሰግድ እንዳንሆን ያሰጋል፡፡የገዛ ሀገርንም አሳልፎ መሸጥ እንግዲህ ከዚህ የተለየ አይደለም፡፡ጥቂቶች በብዙሃኑ ላይ እንደ ጣኦት የሚሰለጥኑበት አንዱ መንገድም ይህ የኢኮኖሚ ሞኖፖል ነው፡፡ስለዚህም ለህዝብ ቆመናል የሚሉ የፖለቲካና የኢኮኖሚ መሁራኖቻችን በትክክል ለህዝብ የቆሙ ከሆነ ዲሞክራሲ የሚለውን የተለመደ ቃል እንደበቀቀን ዘወትር ከሚለፈልፉ ይልቅ የህዝብን የኢኮኖሚ ነፃነት ሊያጎናፅፉ የሚችሉትን የህዝብና የመንግስት የልማትና የንግድ ድርጅቶችን በሰፊው አጠናክረው መመስረትና ማስፋፋት መቻል አለባቸው፡፡ለእንደኛ አይነት ታዳጊ ድሃ ሀገርም እጅግ ጠቃሚው ነገር የመንግስት ዘርፍ ከ60% ሳያንስ የግሎ ዘርፍ ከ40%ሳይበልጥ በዚህ የተመጣጠነ ስሌት እርስ በርስ ተደጋግፎ በትክክለኛ የገበያ ስርዓት ለመሄድ የሚችል የኢኮኖሚ ዘርፍ ሲኖር ነው ሀገር እንደ ሀገር ሊቀጥል የሚችለው፡፡ስለዚህም ይህ በሌለበት ሁኔታ ውስጥ ግለሰቦች እራሳቸው የኢኮኖሚ ሞኖፖል ይዘው ፈላጭ ቆራጭ መንግስት በሆኑበት ሁኔታ ዲሞክራሲ ነፃ ፕሬስ ብቻውን ለህዝብ ብዙም የሚፈይደው ነገር የለም፡፡የእኔ የራሴ የሚለው የኢኮኖሚ መሰረት የሌለውና በባእዳን ሃይሎች የኢኮኖሚ ሞኖፖል ባርነት ስር የወደቀ ህዝብስ እንዴት ብሎ ነው ስለ ዲሞክራሲና ነፃነት ለመናገር የሞራል ብቃትና በራስ መተማመን የሚኖረው?

Al Amoudi is a business man and he has to work with everyone including weird politicians. He created a lot of job. I hate Melee Zenawi’s policies but that has nothing to do with business people.

Meles and Almoudin are mining bloodgold in Lagadambi and other parts of Ethiopia by evicting and killing the population living in the areas and polluting their environment including their rivers off which they collect their drinking waters. Meles and Alamoudin are partners-in-plunder. They are working together to continue robbing the Ethiopian people of their resources and enrich themselves at the expense of the poor people of Ethiopia.

    Are you talking about business people under Adolf Hitler who were employing lots of people and busy building Nazis human slaughter houses as well as producing lots of other war products in other factories for funding and supporting the nize system to maximize genocide perpetrations?     You are insulting our intelligence. The charges(plunderig) being made against this man have not been subsantiated. What crime did he committ? This would have been your job to do an investigative report. Fact is, he employes over 40.000 people (5 years ago info.)multiply that by at least 4 menbers of a family, its 160.000. He pays salary and taxes. He could have invested in another country but he did so b/c Eth. is the country of his birth and according to employes whom I talked to repoprt only positive things about him.   34. Sami you are the true agent. Al Amoudi had $1.4 billion from his work all his life untill 2004 and was 406th richest man in the world. But now after he started mining gold in Ethiopia and his close relationship with TPLF leaders , his wealth has grown to $12.5 billion in 2012. Most of it might be from Ethiopia since he is the only gold minner with 5% govenment share in the mine.
