The Woyanne junta continues to commit horrible atrocities against Ethiopians with {www:impunity}. The recent ethnic cleansing campaign against the Amhara, Gambella and Afar people is not surprising because nothing has been done when khat-addicted dictator Meles Zenawi waged a war of genocide against fellow Ethiopians in Ogaden, filled Ethiopian prisons with Oromos, stolen elections, destroyed historic monasteries, sold Ethiopian fertile land to foreign investors at {www:basement bargain} prices, etc.
The Woyanne tribal junta is doing all this not because it is a superior power. It is a regime that survives on foreign handouts! Woyanne is peeing on us because we allowed it to do so. We finance its crimes against us by paying tax, buying goods and services from Woyanne-controlled businesses, socializing with Woyanne members whose hands are socked with the blood of our brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers.
We can stop the Woyanne junta dead if we are really serious. One of the first things we can do to stop Woyanne is to wage a worldwide economic boycott campaign and target its revenue sources.
One of the biggest hard currency earning enterprises for the tribal junta is Ethiopian Airlines. Currently there are serious discussions going on about boycotting Ethiopian Airlines and this coming Saturday, for the first time, several Ethiopian media representatives will propose a set of actions. Ethiopian Airlines is Ethiopian only in name. From the CEO down it is controlled by central committee members of the Tigrean People Liberation Front (Woyanne). Many of the Ethiopian pilots are leaving and being replaced by foreigners who are hired at double the salary. The sales, maintenance, and all other parts of the company are staffed with Woyanne members.
Since the Woyanne took over the airline, domestic flights drastically decreased while flights to Tigray region expanded {www:manyfold}.
In 2010, the airline generated USD$1.3 billion for the junta. This money is being used to fuel the Woyanne killing and torture machine.
I heard some individuals saying that Ethiopian Airlines should not be boycotted since it carries the Ethiopian national flag around the world. This argument doesn’t work any more, because at the current pace, there will be no nation called Ethiopia if we allow Woyanne to remain in power. When Meles and gang implement Article 39 of their constitution, Ethiopian Airlines will be renamed Greater Tigray Airlines.
Let’s stop bitching and take action. Starve the Woyanne beast by drying its sources of income.

Like any other institution in Ethiopia, Ethiopian airlines is one of the main source of cash for the greedy, gun tauting, violent woyane gujile.
Why on earth do we have to fly Ethiopian airlines knowing that our hard earned cash is going straight into the pocket of the TPLF politbureau members, which they use to kill, torture, evict and force our people into exile.
None of the cash generated by EAL (Ethiopian Airlines) is used for develepoment or invested to help our people.
The woyane gujile recently transferred $11 billion to foreign accounts. Most of this is aid money. The country lives on handouts from donors. 8.3 MILLION PEOPLE ARE REGISTERED AS NEEDING FOOD ASSISTANCE JUST TO SURVIVE. one can easily see where the money generated by the likes of EAL is going to end up.
We as ETHIOPIANS, IF WE HAVE ANY CONCERN FOR OUR COUNTRY AND ITS PEOPLE at all, if there is any one thing we could do to cripple the woyane gujile with out firing any bullet is to boycott woyane cash cows like EAL.
THIS IS AN OPTION IN OUR OWN HANDS. WE CAN VOLUNTARILY CHOOSE TO BOYCOT. WE CAN ALL PARTICIPATE WITHOUT HAVING TO GO OUT IN THE STREET TO DEMONSTRATE, SIMPLY BY ABSTAINING, SIMPLY BY CHOOSING TO STAY AWAY, we could have a major impact.

Exactly my point. EAL may be funding Weyane to some extent, but the most money could probably come from foreign aid including Alamoudi. What about EFFORT? What we need to work hard on is to shame funders of this TPLF junta. Thousands need to protest infront of U.S offices, white house, etc, contacting our congress, senate, reps, all over the world by showing evidence. The problem comes from two sources: TPLF get funding from the West and we need to put pressure on that and Alamoudi. If Ethiopians can mobilize in Ethiopia, they need to demolish every Alamoudi infrastructure of course they have to be ready to sacrifice.
Have you seen the recent picture photo of Bill Gates and Alamoudi? Alamoudi is accepting guests now as if he represents Ethiopia. The price we paid since Alamoudi entered Ethiopia: while he got fatter, Ethiopioa became further impoverished. These things are synanymous.

Solomon Tibebu aka Gidey Woldai Woyane – It is simply mind boggling to have an incompetent Tigre (Tewolde) managing the Ethiopian Airlines (EAL). I flew EAL recently and even the Cabin Crew has been transformed into an array of Tigre women. It is simply disgusting that a minority (7%) of the population is commanding the entire economy and dominating the work force in all economic pillars of the Country.
Hope this is a time of brief darkness before the dawning of freedom in Ethiopia!
I fully endorse boycotting the EAL which has for all practical purposes has been transformed into Tigre Airlines.

Especially leaving a beloved country like Ethiopia…..which has diversified faith….culture…language….manner…life style…..topography. *Ethiopians going home from the USA or Europe should take Lufthansa or make sure they go to a country from which they can take another airline to Ethiopia
*Ethiopians from Arabic countries, in which they suffer abuse and humiliation thanks to weyane, should take alternative airlines. I don’t know the alternative airlines operating there but it is our job to find out and make sure they know the alternatives.
*Outside of Ethiopians, we need to suggest alternative airlines in forums and other media. The abuse and discrimination that takes place in that airline should be made clear to foreigners.
*We need to find a way to get the EAL crews to abandon the airline and get a better job in the middle east and other airlines.
This will bring a swift decline to the cash cow.

I heard, EAL and Ethiopian Banks were going to be sold or already sold to some foreign investors I heard. So technically, EAL will never belong to Ethiopians anyways. Again, I bleive further study is needed to show whether EAL is really the main income for TPLF then we can stop to this. Indeed, TPLF would have sold EAL or demolish it long ago if it didn’t bring any profit for TPLF.
We have seen the total control of the economy by Woyane and its thnic groups. They are now playing their last play which is displacing all Amharas out of the south. I think it is an effective way of civil disobedient. All of us ,of course non Tigreans, shouldn’t fly Ethiopian air lines or spent a penny in any business owned by Tigreans when we go there.
We could also establish travel agencies with offices in DC or virginia and divert/advise travelers to other airlines.

OLF has been frozen for years, it became right hand for TPLF for years without acting without being involved in the concerns of Ethiopians, hence Oromos. They are just amassing and living comfortably in the West and Eritrea. It is the mainstream Ethiopians who have the concerns for Alem Dechasa, Mr. Jawar who claims to represent OLF rather do the divide and rule by talking about how Muslims were opressed during past regimes. Are you kidding me? So OLF has shown their true face. I suggest the moderate Oromos who are the majority must form their own Oromo party and join hands with Amaras and main stream Ethiopians. They should take the leadership of Ethiopia with the help of Amara and other ethnic groups. This by no means should be to isolate Tigryans. In fact, they need to be welcomed if they denounce TPLF with proof. Stop this mistrust with the majority Ethiopians and with Amaras. Amaras the delusional must also wake up and realize in order to live in peace, they need to respect the rights of others and especially Oromos. There must be trust between Amaras and Oromos. Amaras are afraid if Oromos rule they will revenge on them. Oromos are afraid if Aramas rule the past regimes will come back again. This fear is out of reality. Instead, even it doesn’t have to be political, for prominent Amaras and Oromos to get together and discuss their issues and respecting each other and their rights and what they want to be. It is a shame this is not happening and even elders should be involved to facilitate this discussion whether be in english or latin. That being said, I totally agree with you when you said those Weyanes who are bringing groceries, food exportation so that the Weyanes in the West open businesses. I would like to suggest someone. In Oakland,California, there is Eritrean grocery that is selling 100% Ethiopian products (some written in Amharic): teff, all kinds of flours, ready made injera, coffee, butter, every thing Ethiopian products that you can’t find in the West. The guy doesn’t speak Amharic, or Oromiffa, or etc.. It is possible also he is pretending to be Eritrea but he maybe Weyane so that he won’t get scrutinized by Ethiopians. Ethiopians and Eritreans come to his place to buy and Ethiopians never question but they just go and buy and leave. I questioned him once in a friendly manner to get info, he confirmed to me everything from Ethiopia. I think it is easy to close his business because he seems he is in hiding, meaning, the building is secret and he has very small sign and only through word of mouth that people go to buy but never the less, he is famous. I think he maybe hiding from paying some king of tax, not sure. Again, rather than jumping the gun, we must carefully do our own investigation how he gets his products, whether he is hurting Ethioopia, etc. I encountered another person who opened Ethiopian grocery. He said he is Ethiiopian. I have a feeling though this one could be Weyane. Since now Gondere and Tigray regions are synanymous some Weyanes could be pretending to be Gonderes when they are Weyanes. However, I am not discriminating even if he is Tigray, but if their business is hurting Ethiopia (which further study is needed), then they must be boycotted. We must remember, we shouldn’t apply dictatorship on others if we don’t want to be like Mengistu or Weyane. We are trying to be NOT TO BE ONE. That is why to do our homework first. Besides, if we keep jumping the gun, the effort for struggle will be zilch, nada because many Ethiopians will not support it as most Diaspora have now short attention span. It requires for some thing like Alem Dechasa’s stories or Amara’s displacement to wake us up. The issue of Ogaden, Gambela, have made us indifferent. When our interest is affected only then we act. I am a man who wants Meles go now, not a minute latter just now. I can’t have anymore of his zergna policy and his arogance on my nation. Meles is a blood thrithy dictator period! But, I’m still against the boycot of Eth Airline. We cannot win TPLF by boycoting EAL, but by fighting hard and by mobilizing people internally and externally.
